Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: This has been an ongoing issue with the Credit Reporting agencies ( Transunion, XXXX, and XXXX ) reporting inaccurate information to my credit report. I've contacted each agency XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX of XXXX to resolve the issue. There is an account showing in charge-off status that has since been cancelled, forgiven, and written off by the lender. The lender has written this debt off and it has now become taxable income. Taxable income CAN NOT be reported on a consumer 's profile. I've requested proof to show me where income is reported as debt on a credit profile and have yet to receive a response. Each bureau has the responsibility to report maximum accuracy on my credit profile. Reporting an account that is not disputable and is now considered income is now in violation of 15 USC 1681 ( e ) b
