Consumer Complaint: I am writing a to file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) regarding inaccurate late payments that remain on my credit report despite multiple attempts to correct the information. The credit reporting agencies and the creditor have failed to provide any documentation or evidence of the accuracy of their reporting, yet they continue to report the inaccurate information on my credit report. I have sent multiple letters to the credit reporting agencies disputing the accuracy of the late payments, citing laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Credit Billing Act. In response, the credit reporting agencies claimed to have verified the accuracy of their reporting, without providing any evidence or documentation to support their claims. I have also requested that my personal information ( Address and name ) be updated and have provided proof of such with my Driver 's License and bank statement with the credit reporting agencies. XXXX has refused to do so. On XX/XX/, I called XXXX and spoke to an agent named XXXX who refused to provide me with an Employee ID for security reasons. XXXX claimed that I would have to call all of the creditors on my credit report that are reporting my name incorrectly to have it corrected, even creditors that I no longer have an account with in other words closed. This further proves that this credit reporting agency is intentionally reporting inaccurate information about myself even though I have provided proof multiple times when disputing. I will be uploading documents as proof of my dispute letters

Section 605B, Block of Information Resulting From Identity Theft, requires consumer reporting agencies to notify furnishers of information, including financial institutions, that information may be the result of identity theft, and that an identity theft report has been filed. I provided them with FTC report number XXXX, as well as a block that had been requested. Upon receiving such notice, Section 623 ( a ) ( 6 ) requires furnishers to block the reporting of any information in the file of a consumer char the consumer identifies as information chat resulted from identity theft, not later than 4 business days after the date of receipt by such agency of 1. All four requirements were met by me and will be attached to this complaint.
