Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding the numerous attempts I have made to correct a late open account and remove a charge-off from my credit report. Despite persistent efforts to rectify these matters, they persist on my credit report, adversely affecting my creditworthiness and financial standing. Despite my persistent and genuine efforts to rectify these issues in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and other applicable regulations, the late open account and charge-off continue to tarnish my credit report. I respectfully request the following actions be taken promptly : A comprehensive and immediate investigation into both the late open account and charge-off, including thorough validation of their accuracy with the creditors. If the items are found to be inaccurate, their immediate correction or removal from my credit report. A written acknowledgment from your agency confirming the correction of my credit report once the issues have been resolved. A detailed report outlining the actions taken during the investigation and the resolution status. I urge you to treat this complaint with the utmost urgency. Timely resolution of such issues is essential for maintaining the integrity of credit reporting, and I trust that your agency will take the necessary measures to rectify these situations promptly. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint in writing within the exact timeframe and provide a designated contact person with their direct contact information for further communication. I am asking for your assistance to correct this late open account and remove the charge off in my credit file : XXXX XXXX Balance Owed : {$5100.00} Date Opened : XX/XX/year> - You are reporting different information from other bureaus. Per FCRA, reporting must be 100 % accurate or the information must be updated. XXXX XXXX Balance Owed : {$0.00} - The limit to this account was a fraction of the amount due it as stated. That is utterly unfathomable! Had a proper investigation been conducted you would have seen the error and corrected it immediately. You failed to do your job ; you must now REMOVE THIS ITEM ALTOGETHER.

Consumer Complaint: Ive noticed that several deviations from mandatory reporting standards therefore the data in my report can not be accurate and complete! With that said, I deny your allegations and I challenge you to provide proof that you have the right to report this incomplete negative information on my credit report. Per 15 U.S.C 1681e Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. According to 12 CFR Part 1022 ( Regulation V ) requires furnishers to : Furnish information concerning accounts or other relationships with a consumer that has integrity. Furnish information about accounts or other relationships with a consumer that is accurate. C - Conduct reasonable investigations of consumer disputes According to CRRG, in order to make a lawful report, you must follow the Metro 2 compliance standards. Also as stated in the CRRG Any Deviation From These Standards Jeopardizes The Integrity of The Data. This means that any mistakes in reporting claims can make the information less accurate and it affects the accuracy of any federally regulated reports. Therefore, I am invoking my rights to challenge these inaccurate and non-compliant items. Neglecting my demand will only prove that you DO NOT care about my rights as a consumer. Its NOT FAIR for you to report information that isnt confirmed to be ethical and meets the standards of certified reporting. Again, I am challenging these claims and asking for proof of the proper reporting standards. You are violating my rights! I have listed the concerns about your reporting in this document. It's not complete and does not meet my standards according to law, you must certify all aspects of required FCRA/ Metro 2 compliance which is done truthfully, correctly ( in a timely manner ), completely AND accurately as well - or else I would have to escalate these issues to the CFPB XXXX FTC and my Attorney General. Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Information belongs to someone else

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and file a complaint regarding the recent attempt to remove fraudulent items from my account. I believe that the process undertaken to rectify the situation has been unsatisfactory and warrants further attention. I discovered unauthorized and fraudulent transactions on my account issued by your institution. Immediately, I contacted your customer service department to report the fraudulent activities and requested assistance in removing these unauthorized charges. While I appreciate the initial responsiveness of your customer service representatives, the subsequent actions taken to address the issue have been inadequate. I expected a swift and effective resolution, but the process has been marred. Additionally, I am concerned about the lack of transparency in the communication throughout this ordeal. Timely updates and clear information regarding the steps being taken to rectify the situation would have greatly alleviated my anxiety. Unfortunately, the information provided has been insufficient, leaving me in the dark about the progress of the investigation. I am requesting a thorough review of the handling of my case and a comprehensive explanation of the steps taken to address the fraudulent transactions. Furthermore, I insist on a detailed plan outlining how your institution intends to prevent such incidents in the future. As a customer, I expect and deserve a higher standard of service, especially when dealing with issues as critical as fraudulent activities on my account. I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency it deserves and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation promptly. If my concerns are not addressed satisfactorily, I may have no choice but to escalate this matter to the relevant regulatory authorities and consumer protection agencies. Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem

Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my deep concern and frustration regarding the numerous late closed accounts, accounts included in bankruptcy, and public record entries on my credit report. Despite my persistent efforts to address and rectify these issues, they continue to negatively impact my creditworthiness and financial standing. I am filing this formal complaint to bring attention to the gravity of the situation and request immediate and thorough action to correct these inaccuracies. I have previously disputed these entries, providing extensive documentation supporting my claim that these entries are inaccurate and damaging to my credit history. Despite my diligent efforts and the legal obligation for accurate and fair credit reporting, these entries persist on my credit report. I wish to emphasize that the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) requires credit reporting agencies to conduct a thorough investigation within 30 days of receiving a dispute. It is disheartening to note that an extended period has passed without a satisfactory resolution, and the adverse impact on my credit continues to grow. In light of the gravity of the situation, I request the following actions : Conduct a comprehensive and timely investigation into the accuracy of the late closed accounts, accounts included in bankruptcy, and public record entries, in accordance with the FCRA guidelines. Provide a detailed response outlining the results of your investigation, including the actions taken to correct the inaccuracies and the expected timeline for resolution. Remove the inaccurately reported entries promptly from my credit report, as required by law, if they are found to be inaccurately reported or unverifiable. Furnish me with a written report of the results of your investigation, a copy of my updated credit report reflecting the removal of these entries, and a written explanation for any entries that were not corrected or removed. I understand the critical role that accurate credit reporting plays in financial stability and access to essential services. I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves to ensure fair and accurate reporting of my credit information. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint within 30 days of your receipt of this letter. Failure to do so may compel me to explore further legal remedies to address this issue. I am asking for your assistance to remove these items in my credit file : XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX Balance : {$1100.00} - Please investigate the account name, date of last activity, and account balance. This information seems to be misleading. This will need to be removed pronto. XXXX XXXX XXXX Balance : {$2200.00} - Investigate the way this account is reporting the date of last activity, opening date, and the account name. I believe this information may be inaccurate. I need this account removed NOW. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : {$0.00} - This is showing to be 120+days past due as the current status but it also says its been transferred. Youre showing a payment due amount but how can I owe something to a company that no longer owns the account? You need to change the description to say and change the Current Status to say : Paid as Agreed. Please remove all the negative information as well as it is a violation of automatic stay and bankruptcy court orders. XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy Reference # : XXXX Liability : {$0.00} - This bankruptcy file date is wrong and this bankruptcy is out of statute for reporting on a credit report. It should no longer be reported because it is past the 10-year statute of limitations that a credit bureau can report. Please update the filing date and then remove.
