Section 611 ( a ), it is plainly stated that a failure to investigate these items within 30 days gives a reason to immediately remove those items from my credit report it has been over 30 days so they should be deleted promptly. I demand these accounts be deleted immediately or I will file for litigation due to the stress you caused me. Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I contacted this company and the representative in my state of Massachusetts, they told me that this account was closed and that they did not have this account in their records, I have called them and they say that the account does not appear. I am looking in my report that since XX/XX/XXXX they have not updated the information in my credit report and this account appears as an open account and this account was closed. It says that it has 7 late payments, but they have not updated the status since XX/XX/XXXX, which is false and affects my credit reputation. Since if what they say is true, there must have been more than 30 late payments. This account has false and inaccurate information because it also has an amount that does not correspond to it and the other Bureaus have only two late payments!! XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Highest balance {$1700.00} This account does not even have the balance with which it was opened, it has a lot of incorrect information.

Consumer Complaint: Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 15 USC 1681 section 602 a, it is emphasized that consumer reporting agencies such as XXXX and XXXX must exercise their responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and respect for consumer privacy rights. As a consumer, I am protected under 15 USC 6801, which states that financial institutions have an ongoing obligation to respect customer privacy and safeguard their nonpublic personal information. Moreover, 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that consumer reporting agencies can only provide a consumer report with the explicit written consent of the consumer. I have not given my consent for the furnishing of this information to credit agencies such as XXXX and XXXX. Furthermore, 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) specifies that a financial institution can not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party without informing the consumer about their right to request nondisclosure. The entity providing information to credit agencies did not inform me of this right. Additionally, 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) prohibits consumer reporting agencies from including certain adverse information in a consumer report without proper authorization. This information is being reported against the law. According to 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A, it is unlawful to furnish inaccurate consumer information to a consumer reporting agency. XXXX and XXXX are failing to maintain reasonable procedures as required by 15 U.S. Code 1681e, which is designed to prevent violations and restrict the furnishing of consumer reports to specific purposes. Lastly, as per 12 CFR 1016.7, I am exercising my right to opt out of your reporting services at this time.
