Consumer Complaint: According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. " XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. I have the right to make sure my private information is not shared which is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states " It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. Transunion is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act ( FERPA ) is a federal law enacted in 1974 that protects the privacy of student education records. FERPA applies to any public or private elementary, secondary, or post-secondary school. 20 USC 1232g ( b ). Transunion is not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR 1016.7 states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am exercising my right of opting out of your reporting services. US DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. 15 U.S. Code 1681 e states " Every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR1016.7 goes on and states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at anytime. I am opting out of your reporting services.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing in response to TransUnions letter dated XX/XX/year>, which acknowledged the recent submission of my dispute concerning certain entries on my credit report. I fully understand the importance of authenticating the source of requests ; however, the dispute was indeed submitted directly by me, the consumer, and not through a third party. I take great care in managing my credit profile and have diligently followed the appropriate procedures outlined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). In TransUnion 's response, they noted that it didn't appear that the request was sent directly by me or a properly authorized third party. Allow me to reiterate that I am the authorized individual disputing the accuracy of the information on my credit report, and this communication serves as additional clarification and verification of my identity. To address TransUnions specific concern, I have not engaged the services of any credit repair company, credit clinic, or any third party to represent me in this matter. Therefore, there is no third party to identify, and I have not granted authorization for any such entity to communicate with TransUnion on my behalf.
