Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally dispute certain information on my credit report that I believe is in direct violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and Consumer Law. After a meticulous review of my credit report, I have identified accounts, specifically related to XXXX, that are reported in a manner inconsistent with legal standards, infringing upon the provisions outlined in 15 U.S. Code 1681a and 15 U.S. Code 6802. According to 15 U.S. Code 1681a, the definition of a consumer report excludes information pertaining solely to transactions or experiences between the consumer and the person making the report. In my case, XXXX - XXXX. These entries appear to represent information outside the legal scope for inclusion in a consumer report. Furthermore, as per 15 U.S. Code 6802, a financial institution is prohibited from disclosing nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party without explicit consent from the consumer. It seems that XXXX - XXXX was shared without my authorization, thus violating my privacy rights under this statute. Despite reaching out to XXXX for resolution, they have refused to comply with the penal codes stated by Congress under consumer law. Therefore, I am requesting the immediate removal of the stated account from my credit report. Under the FCRA, you are obligated to address and correct such penal code violations within 30 days of receipt of this letter and to remove any information that is inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable. I expect prompt action to correct these inaccuracies in my consumer report with the Consumer Reporting Agencies. Additionally, I request written confirmation from the consumer reporting agencies to verify compliance with this request and a revised copy of my credit report after the deletion of the disputed information.
