Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Reporting company used your report improperly
Consumer Complaint: In accordance to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, which is codified in 15 USC 1681 section 602 states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' I, the Consumer, am writing this complaint due to inaccurate reporting of all 3 consumer reporting agencies that is Transunion, XXXX, and XXXX. Under 15 USC 1681 section 623 it states " A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. '' In Transunion consumer report it shows that I only have XXXX hard inquires ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ), in XXXX it states I have only 12 hard inquires ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ), and XXXX shows that I have XXXX hard inquiries ( XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX ). This is causing much confusion due to the inquiries not matching and shows me that reports of these inquiries are inaccurate and I would like them to be removed. Not only does it violate section 623 but it also violates section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ) which states " Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' I have not given written instructions for these inquiries to be furnished on my consumer reports. 15 USC 1681 section 607 ( b ) also states " Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates '' there must be a maximum possible accuracy of my consumer reports across all agencies.
