Consumer Complaint: Pursuant to 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2, I demand the immediate deletion of the account associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX from my credit reports with XXXX, XXXX, and TransUnion. It has been four business days since I presented the Federal Trade Commission ( FTC ) report identifying this account as fraudulent. Under 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2, consumer reporting agencies are required to block the reporting of information resulting from identity theft within four business days of receiving an identity theft report. I have diligently provided the necessary documentation to support the fraudulent nature of the XXXX XXXX XXXX account. This statutory provision is clear in its mandate, and the failure to comply within the specified timeframe is a violation of federal law. I emphasize the urgency and intensity of this matter. The account must be promptly deleted to rectify the harm caused and to ensure compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act. It is crucial to note that I am fully aware of my rights under the law, and any further delay or non-compliance with this request will leave me with no alternative but to pursue legal action. I am prepared to take legal measures to address this violation, including filing a lawsuit seeking damages for the willful non-compliance with 15 U.S. Code 1681c-2. I expect immediate action to rectify this situation, acknowledgment of the removal of the XXXX XXXX XXXX account from my credit reports, and confirmation of compliance with the specified federal statute.
