Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: All throughout XX/XX/2024, I've been disputing incorrect information that appears on my credit reports from all 3 credit bureaus. Ive also tried disputing with the actual collection agency in which the invalid information rests, who goes by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on two reports, yet XXXX XXXX XXXX on another. The amounts I am disputing are {$1600.00} and {$4900.00}. Two different amounts, under the same company, yet two different negative impacts. Both amounts which are incorrect, as well as the dates of opened. Hopefully the attached documents provides a clearer understanding. After disputing through the bureaus, the information was not deleted. I then contacted the collection agency, genesis, directly. After providing numerous emails and statements, the representative agreed in my favor that the amounts should be removed within 2 weeks and to call back in two weeks to confirm. Today XX/XX/, it has been two weeks so as directed, I contacted the agency, spoke with the same representative, who then directed me to call back in another week as he was busy right now and could not talk at the moment. The run around is frustrating, the debt collection company seems very sketchy, and this incorrect information on my report is a burden and preventing me from purchasing a home of any kind.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint against TransUnion regarding their handling of a dispute I submitted on XX/XX/2023. The dispute pertains to the removal of an incorrect address on my credit report. In my initial communication, I provided all necessary documentation, including a copy of my photo ID, social security card, and a recent bill displaying my current address, in an effort to assist TransUnion in verifying my identity and address. Regrettably, I received a response from TransUnion, dated XX/XX/2023, stating : We recently received a request that included your information, but it didn't appear that you or a properly authorized third party sent it to us. We take the privacy and security of your data very seriously, so we won't process requests unless they come directly from you or an authorized third party. This response raises significant concerns as it indicates a failure on TransUnion 's part to acknowledge the legitimacy of my dispute. Per the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), when a consumer disputes the completeness or accuracy of any information, the credit bureau is obligated to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine the accuracy of the disputed items. It seems that TransUnion has not fulfilled this obligation, resulting in a violation of my consumer rights. Enclosed with this complaint is a copy of the dispute letter I sent to TransUnion, along with their response, as evidence of my attempt to rectify inaccuracies in my credit report and TransUnion 's failure to conduct a proper investigation.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX I was alerted via email through my chase account of two credit applications under my name. Within 4 hours of these email notification I reported both as fraud as it was not my doing. I filed two police reports due to the businesses involved with the fraudulent activity. The case numbers are both listed below : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Phone : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Report # XXXX Phone : XXXX Both banks automatically denied the application so that no credit cards were dispersed to the offender, however, the credit application pull and process had already begun, causing my credit to be hit with two hard inquiries on the same day within a short amount of time. One was through XXXX XXXX via XXXX and XXXX XXXX. This credit pull was already removed from my account within 24 hours of me reaching out. Ive been dealing with the second credit pull, tied to XXXXXXXX XXXX via, Transunion, involving a XXXX XXXX XXXX store. Can you please look into the still existing hard inquiry from XXXX with XXXXXXXX XXXX and XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX and have it removed from my credit report. Thank you so much in advance!

Consumer Complaint: I am reaching out to challenge the presence of the bankruptcy entry on my credit report. The discrepancies between the filed and reported dates, along with the closing dates, are troubling. Adding to the concern is the fact that I have a court letter explicitly stating that this bankruptcy should not be reported to you. The involvement of an unauthorized third party further compounds the absurdity of this situation.
