Consumer Complaint: This issue started back in XX/XX/year>. I was looking at my report and noticed there were some things that was not correct. I sent tons of letters to the credit bureaus. I asked them to investigate the completeness and accuracy. I haven't received the results and noticed they did not fix nothing. There are breaking the law According to 15 USC 1681e ( b ) it states this ( b ) Accuracy of report Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. So I then asked them to provide me a description of the investigation according to 15 USC 1681i ( 7 ) : Description of reinvestigation procedure A consumer reporting agency shall provide to a consumer a description referred to in paragraph ( 6 ) ( B ) ( iii ) by not later than 15 days after receiving a request from the consumer for that description. But they did not do that either. They are also breaking these laws as well below According to 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ) it states this Treatment of inaccurate or unverifiable information ( A ) In general If, after any reinvestigation under paragraph ( 1 ) of any information disputed by a consumer, an item of the information is found to be inaccurate or incomplete or can not be verified, the consumer reporting agency shall ( i ) promptly delete that item of information from the file of the consumer, or modify that item of information, as appropriate, based on the results of the reinvestigation; and ( ii ) promptly notify the furnisher of that information that the information has been modified or deleted from the file of the consumer. According to 15 USC 1681s-2 it states this ( A ) Reporting information with actual knowledge of errors A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. ( B ) Reporting information after notice and confirmation of errors A person shall not furnish information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if ( i ) the person has been notified by the consumer, at the address specified by the person for such notices, that specific information is inaccurate; and ( ii ) the information is, in fact, inaccurate. This is unfair and if they are doing this to me. I'm only trying to do the right thing so that I can be ale to get a house for my family because I'm homeless, These items on my credit file is hurting my credit and its preventing me from getting anything. Will you guys please fix it?

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with TransUnion 's handling of my recent dispute. On XX/XX/2023, I diligently mailed a dispute letter to TransUnion via USPS certified mail ( tracking # XXXX ). In this letter, I requested a thorough investigation into several inaccurate items on my credit report, including accounts with XXXX, XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and a bankruptcy listing. Additionally, I raised concerns about incorrect addresses listed on my credit report. To aid in the verification process, I attached a copy of my photo ID, social security card, and a recent bill displaying my current address, ensuring transparency in confirming my identity and residence. Despite my efforts to comply with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I received a response from TransUnion dated XX/XX/2023, stating, We recently received a request that included your information, but it didn't appear that you or a properly authorized third party sent it to us. We take the privacy and security of your data very seriously, so we won't process requests unless they come directly from you or an authorized third party. This response raises significant concerns, as it suggests a failure on TransUnion 's part to acknowledge the legitimacy of my dispute. According to the FCRA, when a consumer disputes the completeness or accuracy of any information, the credit bureau is obligated to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine the accuracy of the disputed items. It appears that TransUnion has not fulfilled this obligation.
