Consumer Complaint: Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), as delineated in 15 USC 1681, consumer reporting agencies, namely XXXX, XXXX, and TransUnion, are mandated to carry out their significant responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a profound respect for the consumers right to privacy, as per 15 USC 1681 section 602 ( a ). As the consumer in question, I assert my right to safeguard my private information against sharing, supported by the provision in 15 USC 6801. This section underscores the Congressional policy that each financial institution, including ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ), has a continuous obligation to respect customer privacy and ensure the security and confidentiality of nonpublic personal information. Referring to 15 USC 1681 section 604 ( a ), section 2, it is stipulated that any consumer reporting agency may only furnish a consumer report in accordance with the written instructions of the concerned consumer. Both ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ), the financial institution, and the consumer reporting agencies, XXXX, and XXXX, lack my consent, which encompasses verbal, non-verbal, written, implied, or any other form, and I hereby revoke any and all such consent. In accordance with 15 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ), a financial institution is barred from disclosing nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how they can exercise the nondisclosure option. Unfortunately, ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) never informed me of my right to exercise this option. Moreover, 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) explicitly prohibits consumer reporting agencies from making any consumer report containing adverse items of information without authorization. This account, reported as an adverse item without my permission, is in direct violation of this provision. Under 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ), it is stated that a person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if they know or have reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures in line with this requirement. Additionally, 15 U.S. Code 1681e mandates that every consumer reporting agency maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c and limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b. XXXX and XXXX are not currently adhering to these standards. In compliance with 12 CFR 1016.7, I am exercising my right to opt out of your reporting services, specifically for the following accounts : XXXX XXXX ( ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX ) XXXX XXXX ( ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX ( ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX ) XXXX ( ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX ) XXXX ( ACCOUNT NUMBER : XXXX ) This serves as notice of my decision to opt out. These concerns are critical and demand immediate attention to ensure compliance with the FCRA.
