Consumer Complaint: Dear [ Credit Reporting Agency ], I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention some unauthorized inquiries that I have discovered upon reviewing my credit report. After contacting the respective creditors, it became evident that they have no evidence or proof of my initiation of these inquiries, nor do they possess any written authorization from me. Furthermore, they have failed to provide any permissible purpose for these inquiries. In light of the aforementioned circumstances, I kindly request that you immediately delete these unauthorized inquiries from my credit report. As per Section 604 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, specifically 15 U.S. Code 1681b, consumer reporting agencies are only permitted to furnish consumer reports under specific circumstances, one being when a legitimate business need for the information exists in connection with a business transaction initiated by the consumer. Additionally, as outlined in 15 U.S. Code 1681i, Paragraph ( 5 ), in case of inaccurate or unverifiable information, the consumer reporting agency is obliged to promptly delete such information following a reinvestigation. Given that the inquiries in question are unauthorized and can not be verified, I kindly request their immediate removal from my credit report. Consumer Complaint: XXXX CARD SERVICES derogatory trade. Violation of Fair Credit reporting act 15 USC 1681 section 602, XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the consumer. I have the right to make sure my private information is not shared. This is backed by 15 USC 6801 which states it is the policy of Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers non public personal information. ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) the financial institution and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX and XXXX do not have my consent to furnish this information and they surely do not have my written consent. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) whether it verbal, no non verbal, written or implied may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' ( Furnisher of information to credit agencies ) Never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states '' Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' This account is an adverse item that they are reporting without my permission. They are acting in violation of the law. Consumer Complaint: My dispute portal was disable and I am not able to dispute information on the website. I have mailed information in to the address provided via certified mail and it has gotten returned to sender due to it being an incorrect address. This corporation has invaded my privacy and violated the GLBA I demand a proper reinvestigation into this matter as damages have happened due to the this unfair reporting in pursuant to 15 USC 6801 ( a ) Privacy Obligation Policy It is the policy of congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continued obligation to respect the privacy of it customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers ' nonpublic personal information. I never gave this corporation permissible purpose to report this information and they never clearly or conspicuously disclosed that they would disclose this account / inquiry further more they never gave me an opportunity to opt out of this account being reported in pursuant to 15 USC 6802 ( b ) opt out ( 1 ) In general A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third part unless -- - ( A ) such financial institution clearly and conspicuously discloses to the consumer, in writing or electronic form or other forms permitted by the regulations prescribed under section 6804 of this title, that such information may be disclosed to such third party ; I never gave this corporation permissible purpose to report this information and they need to immediately remove all inquiries and accounts. Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute for incorrect information on my credit report. I received an email from the credit bureau stating that they are assuming the disputes are coming from a 3rd party. They in fact did not come from a 3rd party. l even called them to verify it was me and they still refused to process my disputes. I wasted money on mailing my disputes out. I sent personal information to verify my identity through mail, just for them to not thoroughly investigate.
