Consumer Complaint: In XXXX XXXX XXXX we switched banks from XXXX XXXX to XXXX XXXX. Target card was set on autopay on XXXX XXXX and when the payment was processed it did not go through they contacted us and we updated it in their system and setup autopay coming out of XXXX. 4 months later I received an alert from my credit monitoring system saying target had submitted a 30 day late to the bureau. I contacted Target and paid the amount in full and asked why autopay was not setup and they were going to fix it and submit for review to remove from bureau. 30 days later we have no resolution. They are saying that they send our statements that show when a payment is due which I understand but they never attempted via email, phone or mail to let me know that any payment was past due. I have had that account for years and I had perfect credit I always pay my bills and have never once had a late payment with any provider. They said that they should send out notification the day after a payment is not posted on the due date to let you know that a payment is due and this NEVER happened. From XXXX on we have never received notification of late payment and are disputing their practices. They have been rude and hung up on us multiple times during the review process.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 a check for approximately {$2100.00} was stolen from my apartment leasing company XXXX and fraudulently cashed. The check was written to XXXX and an individual simply signed their name on the back and TDbank cashed it. On XX/XX/XXXX an affidavit of forgery was completed and notorized with TDbank. They have since provided no substantial updates and have ignored several calls. Additionally, the TD fraud center said they did not receive the case until XX/XX/2022 when I spoke with them today XX/XX/2022.

Consumer Complaint: TD AUTO was out of COVID-19 relief compliance. They didn't comply to resolve my COVID-19 relief request in XXXX of payment extension, this issue was reported to the office of Attorney General whom contacted TD Auto, because XXXX XXXX XXXX was sued for taking advantage of consumers and so was TD Auto in XXXX Then TD AUTO turned around and sent my account to a collection agency. Our Lawyer wrote back to that collection agency that TD Auto was out of COVID-19 compliance and and the collection agency disappeared, then TD AUTO surprisingly started reporting monthly charged off ( CO ) on my credit report after their collection agency disappeared.This was brought to my attention by a car dealership and wanted us to contact TD of why CO was reported monthly instead of just once as a charge off notice. Kindly assist us to clarify from TD AUTO why they kept reporting " charge off - CO '' every month? I think this causes for a lawsuit against TD AUTO of malicious, intolerable, incongruous monthly illegal charge-off. Thanks. XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, my auto payment was returned, this was my fault as I had used the wrong bank account. As soon as I realized, the mistake I made a payment online. After making the payment I began receiving calls that I was past due. After talking it over, they told me that my payment I made online was for principal and did not count. They would fix the issue. About a week goes by and I start getting calls again, they state that I am past due. I explain the situation again and I look on the website and no where on the wesbite does it show that the payment I am making is for principal and not for my normal payment. I call back again to see if they fix the issue, because my online account is showing I am past due. The lady on the phone tells me that it is fixed on their end and that it takes about a week for it to be updated on my end. My issues are : 1. Their website does not explain that the payment goes to principal. 2. Taking a week to update the consumer facing website is too long, that should be instant.

Consumer Complaint: My password did not work when I tried to access my checking account online. When I called the bank they gave me a run around and told me I need to visit the bank " in person '' and unless I did that they were not going to unlock my account. When I explained to them that this was not possible due to recent XXXX XXXX they told me, in essence that wasn't their problem. Last XXXX when I was in the hospital getting XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( I am XXXX ) they did the same thing and would not help me ( even though I was calling from the hospital ) until I filed a regulatory complaint. The resolution at that time was that they put me in touch with a bank employee who solved my problem ( XXXX XXXX - Customer Response Analyst ). At that time he wrote " If you have any additional concerns, please contact me directly at XXXX ''. When I called him this time ( before filing this complaint ) he never called me back. I know he still works there because his voice and name are still on his outgoing message. As an FYI I have had the same account for at least 30 years, it has about {$50000.00} in it and when I called them I answered all their verification questions correctly ( even though they deny this ). I gave them my name, my ss #, the account number, the last transaction, when and where the account was opened, my direct deposit that comes in every two weeks. Also. this time when I called the bank I was calling from the same phone number that has been on my account for 30+ years ( XXXX ) except for about four weeks when I was using an XXXX from the hospital last XXXX ( that phone number was different ). Also, I have called them 4 times to put the XXXX number back on my account and it appears they still have not done that.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is solely aimed at the unprofessional, disgusting practices of TD Bank. My wife 's accounts were suddenly put into XXXX and frozen because a collection attorney claimed that my wife owed around {$5000.00}. They created a garnishment summons out of thin air!! There was never any notification of a judgment, we were never served with any paperwork, never received any notification of an account going into the judgment and we still don't see this so called judgement on the credit report. Therefore we were caught off guard by this. Nonetheless what makes this even more insane is that when I contacted TD Bank they agreed that the paperwork submitted by the collection attorney was inaccurate and didn't seem right but there was nothing they can do about it. And what makes this even worse is that my tax return, in my name {$1400.00}, went into our joint account and they refuse to release it. Its my money! I don't know or understand why TD Bank is doing this when they even admitted that the attorneys submitted the wrong paperwork and that they also can not find the judgment. TD Bank refuses to put any of this in writing which makes it even more shady. I respectfully request CFPB gets involved in this incredibly unprofessional business practice at once. The people at TD bank from the XXXX department are XXXX and XXXX.
