Consumer Complaint: Synchrony Bank Company, on XX/XX/XXXX, approved a store TJMax credit card in my name for {$470.00} in credit on the significance of identity theft. I never applied for any Store credit for XXXX, nor do I shop there. The person using this fraudulent credit card defaults as soon It is used by failing to make the actual payments. I reviewed my credit history in XX/XX/XXXX and discovered a negative impact from Synchrony bank regarding the above fraudulent credit circumstances. I have never received a payment request after XX/XX/XXXX, or a collection letter from Synchrony bank regarding this identity theft By an Issued Store credit card. On XX/XX/XXXX, I filed a Written dispute and requested significant verification. I also informed Synchrony bank that I had never applied for credit from a XXXX XXXX store, signifying a fraudulent case of identity theft. It has been more than forty-five days, and Synchrony bank failed to comply with my dispute request.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I discovered my credit score dropped significantly. I checked my credit report and it showed that on XX/XX/XXXX my e-mail address was compromised. On XX/XX/XXXX there changes made to my SSN information. 2 false addresses where added and there was an initial added to my full name. On XX/XX/XXXX my e-mail address was compromised again. Sometime between those dates, without my knowledge, Synchrony bank upgraded my existing Care Credit card to a XXXX. That card was sent by the bank to the unknown address in XXXX XXXX. I never received this card since Ive lived in XXXX NV since XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX that card was used for fraudulent transactions of total over {$27.00}. The account was closed in XX/XX/XXXX. In this time I had no knowledge about the upgrade to a XXXX. I did not receive it, I did not activate it, I had no online access to this account. In XXXX I contacted Synchrony Bank about identity theft. I filed a police report, I send it to the bank also providing all the evidence. I included my credit reports, utility bills that prove my current address, timesheet from my work place that proved I was at work in a different city while the fraud was occuring. The Synchrony Bank rejected my claim 3 times, stating that I opened CareCredit account. I corrected them and confirmed that I did opened it. But the fraudulent charges where made on an upgraded XXXX that Ive never received or used. Bank practices are not customer friendly. Their security system failed and allowed fraudulent charges to be made. After 2 years of not using CareCredit card, they sent me an upgraded XXXX that I did not wanted, didnt apply for it and never received it. In all 3 claims I have not received official mail or e-mail results about the claim. I did not receive any phone calls regarding this matter. Their fraud form is misleading. They where asking if I opened XXXX account. The answer is no. I did open CareCredit account. I did not approve nor I wanted XXXX account. The fraud investigation agent informed me after my call, that the claim was denied because I did open the account. Meanwhile the bank dropped the fraudulent debt from {$27.00} to {$11.00}. They did not explained why. They sent me the list of fraudulent charges that did not add up to the amount of {$27.00}, {$15.00} or {$11.00}. In first claim, although Im supposedly the owner of this card and I used it, the bank denied to provide me with information where the charges where made. They denied information to supposedly my account! After reviewing the charges, I found proof or payment made for a XXXX XXXX when Im a US Citizen. The car inurance was XXXX, and I have XXXX. The charges included rent in XXXX XXXX location, when Ive lived in a different city since XX/XX/XXXX. With all the information provided, bank refuses to cooperate with me. The are lacking communication, their forms are misleading and their security system failed. I am left with a debt I didnt create. I am a victim of an identity theft and Synchrony Bank is not an institution that customer can trust and rely on.

Consumer Complaint: My wife had 5 IRA 'S in Synchrony Bank that she closed and opened a new one with all 5 ira 's for a higher rate. The interest rate offered at that time was 3.81 %. When they funded the new IRA they failed to add 1 IRA account and left out XXXX dollars out of another account. Therefore when I checked my wife 's account she was short over XXXX dollars. The bank did not contact me so I called and spent several hours on the phone getting the situation rectified. They should have picked up on the mistake and contacted me. This took 3 days to get it resolved. During that time the interest rate on a 5 year cd went up 20 basis points from 3.81 % to 4.01 %. Because the account was not fully funded I asked for the higher rate due to their mistake. Synchrony Bank refused. Because the account was not fully funded when the rate changed on Friday I feel I am entitled to the higher rate. Synchrony bank says you get the rate when the account is funded not partially funded. I am requesting the higher rate.

Consumer Complaint: My PayPal XXXX XXXX account attached an insurance company to my account which is another division of their company called XXXX. XXXX charged me {$3300.00} by attaching small amounts onto my amount due each month without disclosing the additional amount on my online statements or explaining that this was not my amount owed from purchases. I continually payed my payments and kept calling for a year to get an answer of why my payments were not subtracted correctly from my balance. Finally after a year of calling amount the discrepancies, the customer care agents informed me that the amounts never matched of amount owed to my payments, because it was going to another division of their company called XXXX, which is an insurance used to pay off credit card in case of unemployment. I never gave this insurance company called XXXX permission to charge my account. Had I know about this insurance I would have used it in XX/XX/2020 when I had an accident and had a fractured leg, which caused me to be out of work for 5 months. I did not use the insurance because I never knew it existed until after that period of time. After multiple more inquiries and complaint processes they told me how to finally cancel the insurance policy to stop these charges. This information was finally given to me after a year of disputes. I followed their instruction XXXX to cancel the policy and stop the charges from occurring. I was given a refund of only a partial amount of {$870.00}. Since then they have opened several more cases to resolve the issue and even gave me another letter stating I would receive more of a refund only to then be told that the letter was sent in error. I never gave this insurance company, XXXX a division of Paypal XXXX XXXX to change my card and hide the charges while fraudulently opening an insurance policy in my name without my permission. I would like a full refund of {$2400.00} which is calculated from the full amount charged without permission of {$3300.00} minus the partial refund of {$870.00} given.

He informed me that my previous Dispute for purchase amount XXXX was found in my favor on XX/XX/XXXX and credited to my CLOSED Lowes Credit Card Account ending XXXX. Previously on XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from Synchrony Bank stating they had identified an error in the resolution of my previous dispute from XX/XX/XXXX, and that they credited my CLOSED account XXXX including the amount of the Dispute, ( XXXX, XXXX ) I was informed by Synchrony bank representative over the phone on XX/XX/XXXX that I would be receiving this information in writing via XXXX Mail regarding the Dispute resolution on XX/XX/XXXX within XXXX to XXXX business days. I have not received that Information. Additionally, after I received my XX/XX/XXXX account statement due date XX/XX/XXXX ( Synchrony Bank would not accept my payment online or over phone ) my account was charged off XX/XX/XXXX with an incorrect balance of XXXX, XXXX. Since the Account was closed in error, and the credit was not made while the account was OPEN, the amount in error including the Disputed amount XXXX, XXXX plus interest and fees should be Refunded to me in Full.

Consumer Complaint: Synchrony Bank continues to harass me for debt I did not approve. A previous roommate stole my personal information before moving to a XXXX, Tx. He opened accounts with synchrony using my Personal information. I submitted all theft reports and documents to synchrony but they are still reporting to the credit bureau and have tried withdraw money from my bank accounts without my permission. Synchrony sent a letter holding me responsible for the fraudulent accounts because the merchandise was delivered to my house. That does not mean I am responsible for that debt. I mentioned it plenty of times. The thief is a former roommate, he lived here.

Consumer Complaint: I was incarcerated on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, and after that date until XXXX XXXX an unknown federal marshal got hold of my credit and debit cards while I was in federal prison and illegally used them. I found out ID Theft was done to me when fully released from federal prison on XX/XX/XXXX. I was called by debt collectors of my credit card accounts that had been used when in prison and started police case on XX/XX/XXXX. I started disputes with XXXX XXXX XXXX debt agency and XXXX cases were closed. However, on my credit report some accounts make me look delinquent because unknown XXXX XXXX had used my credit cards after I had gotten arrested making it look like if I had authorized him/her to do so. I contacted a consumer 's affair attorney who gave me your link to start a complaint while waiting for my police report.

I contacted XXXX and they told me to contact the lender to get a deletion letter. I contacted Synchrony Bank and they said they only show XXXX inquiry and that they couldnt help me and told me to contact XXXX to get it removed and when I explained I had already contacted them they told me there was nothing they could do.
