Consumer Complaint: Venmo Someone opened a fraudulent account with XXXX and used my venmo debit card to charge {$1200.00}, I contacted XXXX and they came to the conclusion that this was a fraud account and they closed the account said there would be no charges I submitted a dispute with venmo and they refused to accept the fact that it was a fraud account and they denied my claim of fraud, they charged me the {$1200.00}

Consumer Complaint: This regards a PayPal Credit account from Synchrony bank. I got an error message on XX/XX/XXXX when attempting to pay my bill in the XXXX XXXX app. My due date was XX/XX/XXXX, and I wasted a significant amount of time trying to make this work. I used text support three times. I also tried to pay the bill from my XXXX XXXX using both the XXXX browser and XXXX. The bank account I was trying to pay from is one I use routinely with my PayPal account. I called using the phone number on the PayPal site for PayPal credit this morning ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I spoke to someone who said she is hearing from multiple people that they are having this problem. In fact I paid my bill late last month because of the same problem. In paying it I incurred a fee by adding to my PayPal balance at a XXXX or XXXX in order to pay the bill from my balance. The operator today waived my late fee, and also took a payment over the phone from my bank account for {$46.00}. She was polite and clearly following scripts. However, she did address me as XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am an unmarried person who has huge ideological issues with marriage. It is an institution I have opted out of. I have in the past simply let banks know that I find that language profoundly offensive and wish simply to be called XXXX XXXX XXXX. At times such operators seem to be unfamiliar with XXXX as a title. I am just done with letting that sort of gender discrimination live in a simple correction. I really hate using the phone. I don't feel comfortable not speaking up about that errror and for me it is not a small thing. Please include that I hope Synchrony and PayPal will encourage their operators to use XXXX as default or to ask first what title people prefer before they inflict normative language such as XXXX on their customers. To be clear the operator was polite, I explained that I found it offensive, and to be honest she probably isn't based in the US, and didn't seem to be aware that such a thing could be offensive.

Consumer Complaint: I became XXXX in XX/XX/2022. Even though I had card protection on this Synchrony Rooms To Go account, I still made the monthly payments myself for 7 months, after which I applied for benefits. I have only had one address the entire time I have had this account, but they said they could not verify my address, so could not open a claim. Each time I have called, I was told that I would receive a callback from the Security Department so that we could resolve this issue. I have never heard back from them. It has been over 60 days of my calling every couple of weeks with no result, and the account has now gone past due. Of course, they still keep taking the fees from my account every month, even though they refuse to follow through on their promises.

Consumer Complaint: There are 2 late payments from Synchrony Bank/ CareCredit XXXX XXXX on my credit report that arent accurate and needs to be removed. My minimum due is {$100.00} on the XXXX. I paid {$670.00} on XXXX of XXXX. So I shouldnt have any late payments for the month of XXXX or XXXX. I had a late payment in XXXX but after talking to synchrony bank they said the would remove the late payment but when I checked my credit report the late payment was moved from XXXX to XXXX which should be illegal because I never missed any payments in XXXX. As part of the FCRA I need these late payments removed from my credit report immediately. By provisions of the fair credit reporting act, I demand that these items be investigated and removed from my credit report. It is my understanding that you will recheck these items with the creditor who has posted them. Please remove any information that the creditor can not verify. I understand that under 15 U.S.C. Sec. 1681i ( a ), you must complete this reinvestigation within 30 days of receipt of this letter. Please send updated copy of my credit report to the above address. According to the act, there shall be no charge for this updated report. I also request that you please send notices of corrections to anyone who received my credit report in the last 6 months.

Consumer Complaint: I am in the process of selling my current home and purchasing a new one. During the title search process, we discovered a lien filed on the property in 2007 by GE Money bank. We had a home improvement loan and at the time we took the loan out, they placed the lien on the property. GE Money Bank changed its name to Synchrony Bank at some point. I contacted Synchrony to obtain a lien release and I was informed that they only kept the motorsports accounts. All other loans were sold to other banks. They gave me several numbers for XXXX XXXX, as they told me is who would have been transferred the loan. According to some research, I believe XXXX XXXX went bankrupt and possibly sold the loans to XXXX, who I believe also either sold it or went bankrupt. With all of these entities, none of them recorded an assignment of the debt with the recorder of deeds after the original party sold or transferred the account. I have no records as this was over 15 years ago. We need someone to release the lien as soon as possible on the property so we can proceed.

Consumer Complaint: Pursuant to 15 USC 1601, economic stabilization would be enhanced and competition amongst financial institutions would be strengthened by the informed use of credit. I am attempting to avoid the uninformed use of credit, and to protect my self, the consumer, against inaccurate and unfair credit billing and credit card practices. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681, The banking system is dependent upon fair and accurate credit reporting. I have been discriminated against as a consumer, the natural person. Pursuant to 12 CFR 1002.7, I applied for an extension of credit through XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank in good faith and was denied. XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank accepted my credit card ( social security # ) initially during the application process but I received no benefit for this consumer credit transaction. It is unlawful for a creditor to discriminate against any applicant with respect to any aspect of a consumer credit transaction done in good faith. I can not find where it is lawful to be denied for the reasons that were provided to me in the adverse action letter. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681b ( a ) ( 2 ) XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank determined my creditworthiness via a third party affiliate, XXXX. XXXX XXXX, which I did not give written instructions to give reports on me. Further, this consumer reporting agency has never contacted me so this constitutes identity theft ( unauthorized use of credit card ) considering the fact I, the consumer, have never spoken to XXXX. XXXX XXXX personally. Pursuant to 15 USC 1681b ( c ) ( 1 ) ( A ) and 15 USC 1681b ( c ) ( 1 ) ( B ) ( ii ), Whatever has been reported on my behalf to XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank was never authorized by me, the consumer. Furthermore, XXXX. XXXX XXXX is not compliant with 15 USC 1681b ( c ) ( 2 ) ( e ). Pursuant to 15 USC 1611, XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank has willfully and knowingly furnished me false and inaccurate information in regards to this extension of consumer credit. I know I am the original creditor and it is a right GRANTED to me and shall not be denied.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Pay Pall Master Card from Synchronicity. My troubles all started when I went to make a XXXX payment on the card. After years of them taking it from my checking account, they decided to take this payment from my savings account, and account that I never linked to PayPal or to synchronicity. Of course it was XXXX, i contacted them immediately and told them what they did. By this time, my wife had tried to move the funds into savings to cover, but it was too late. So while on phone with rep, I made the payment again on XX/XX/2022. The funds were taken from my savings account for 14 days, than the funds were returned. I called support, they could not give me a valid reason why it was returned, so yet again for the 3rd time, I made the payment for XXXX and than for XXXX. They took the payment, and a few days later my wife told me it looks like they are returning the money again. So I went online to check my account, and this is when I learned they closed my account. Now mind you, they had just raised my credit limit, and now they closed it because of issues they caused in processing my payment. As if today, the account has a XXXX balance so I ask why close the account when they see I was paying? Now this company provides ZERO ways to right a wrong and do all they can t prevent you from talking to someone who can help. They not only took the account away, but they did it such a way that it impacted my credit score. So now they have the money, and they have destroyed my credit and ZERO harm comes to them for what they did. how is this fair and equitable?

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022, I saw a suspicious payment on my Lowe 's account through Synchrony Bank. I contacted Synchrony bank and they agreed. Because the credit card used in the fraudulent was non-existence, the payment defaulted. The following XXXX the same situation occurred. Once again I contacted Synchrony Bank. They agreed it was fraudulent and issued me a new Lowe 's card. XXXX days ago I received, in the US mail, a notice from Synchrony Bank that they had closed my account due to XXXX defaulted payments, the XXXX payments above. I contacted Synchrony Bank and was told there was nothing they could do because THE SYSTEM, closes down any account that has a default payment. XXXX questions I asked- was the account delinquent when the fraudulent payments were attempted and was it delinquent now. Answer to both questions was " NO '', because I had made ALL payments on time. So now my credit rating which had been in the XXXX 's will suffer from the SYSTEM action without any human review. So now any credit inquiry will be affected by this erroneous information. I don't accept the " there is nothing we can do '' answer.
