Consumer Complaint: I called Credit card company at least three times over last three months to resolve the duplicate billing. Here are the content of the letter that I send today ( XX/XX/XXXX ). This is a follow-up in writing to dispute a charge of {$2000.00} to the credit account on XX/XX/XXXX, Account XXXX. ending in XXXX. Please note, I had disputed the charge when I first got the bill in XX/XX/XXXX from Synchrony by calling and stating that the charge is in error. I further explained that the amount appears to be billed twice on two separate credit cards, one under my name and the other on a joint account ( ending in XXXX ). Please note that the {$2000.00} under my name Synchrony Home account number ending in XXXX was paid in full. In addition to reporting the duplicate billing, I closed the account on my name, closed and disputed the joint account amount. As a result, I got two letters in response. First letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, stating that my Synchrony Home account ( account no ending in XXXX ) has been closed and that I have XXXX balance. Second letter dated XX/XX/XXXX, stating that Synchrony bank is reviewing the disputed claim requesting 60 days to Synchrony to review the claim. As, of XX/XX/XXXX, I have not received any correspondence from Synchrony Bank on what was the outcome of the dispute. In addition, I received a bill dated XX/XX/XXXX that has charged a late fee of {$39.00} on the disputed amount of {$2000.00}. I am requesting that the error be corrected, that any finance or other charges related to the disputed amount be credited to my account, and that I get an accurate statement. Enclosed are copies of two letters from Synchrony Bank and the bill that I received on XX/XX/XXXX on the disputed amount. Now that over 90 days have passed by since the dispute was reported, I am looking for an expeditious resolution/response from Synchrony Bank XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I signed up with Synchrony bank credit card through XXXX website in XXXX. The Synchrony bank has been charging me 1.6 % " Card Security '' fee to all my balances since the account was opened. I was not aware of such charge nor aware to elect such charges hence I consider this is an unauthorized charge item. I always paid my balance in full. Because Synchrony has not made it available for the complete record of my account, I calculated based on my own record that the balanced summed to be {$6000.00}, and unauthorized fees collected by Synchrony Bank is {$96.00}. Synchrony acknowledged the unauthorized charge, but only refunded {$31.00} upon negotiation. I am writing to report this unauthorization behavior for Synchrony and seek refund of {$65.00}. Thank you!

Consumer Complaint: Synchrony PayPal MasterCard. They collect the money and put the balance on hold for 15 days, I was never informed of such a policy and I have bills on this card that are now blocked. The worst part is that they say this is the first time I make a large payment which is not true. The customer service team says that Synchrony is able to hold funds but they are not able to unblock it. When I asked for a reference number from the conversation with their customer support, they shared that Synchrony does not support that and asked me to send a " mail '' to their po box with tracking as proof.

Consumer Complaint: I was contacted on XX/XX/22 from XXXX in the fraud department regarding some claims that occurred the day before on my JC Penney Mastercard. My card was cancelled, and I was told I would not be responsible for the fraudulent charges. On XX/XX/22, I received 2 boxes labeled XXXX XXXX that I did not order. They appeared to be some type of diet supplements. I called the Synchrony fraud department and informed them of what I received. I was told to return them to the company which I did XX/XX/22. The statement I received dated XX/XX/22 listed the company I received the boxes and returned to as XXXX XXXX. The charges were for {$60.00} and for {$190.00}. I never heard of the company, nor did I ever attempt to purchase from them. The next statement dated XX/XX/22 shows the credits from the company XXXX XXXX for the 2 boxes I returned. {$60.00} and {$190.00}. It also showed 2 purchases from some place called XXXX XXXX ; 1 for {$59.00} and 1 for {$190.00}. I received a letter from Synchrony Bank dated XX/XX/22 stating that since the purchased items were shipped to my address that they would not approve my claim. I only received the 2 boxes and returned them as I did not order them. If I had ordered them, I would gladly have paid for them. I contacted the fraud department again to tell me what merchandise I supposedly received from XXXX XXXX. They said they were vitamins, but they could not give me a contact number for me to call the company. I did not receive anything from XXXX XXXX. I am still being charged on my JC Penney credit card for this XXXX XXXX, which the amounts are similar to what the fraudulent charges from XXXX XXXX were. I was contacted about the fraud from the beginning, but I am the victim of the fraud. I cancelled the new card they sent me on XX/XX/22 when I received the letter from them stating that I was responsible for the charges.

Consumer Complaint: I have an account with Care Credit and a charge was made in the amount of XXXX for dental with with XXXX XXXX XXXX. There was an issue with the minimum payment due being much higher than I was told by XXXX XXXX XXXX and both myself and XXXX XXXX XXXX were on a 3 way call with Care Credit to resolve the payment issue and it was agreed to on the call that it would be worked out that the minimum payment due would be around XXXX dollars. Care Credit says that they have fixed the problem and my minimum payment due is XXXX which is much higher than what was promised to me.

Consumer Complaint: I became aware of this " joint '' account, with SYNCB/JCPENNY, when my XXXX score took a hit in the fall of last year ( XXXX ). I checked my score with XXXX and found out it was due to a " joint '' account opened by an ex-spouse on XX/XX/XXXX. Payments had quit being made and they closed the account around XXXX of XXXX and made it a charge off I believe during the fall of XXXX. ( Not sure of exact dates, unable to locate in my XXXX XXXX XXXX report ) I contacted my ex and asked about the card. She explained that she had money problems and had to file bankruptcy. I told her that by having my name on the account that her not paying her debts had hit my XXXX score. She replied that it hadn't hurt hers. I filed a dispute with XXXX and XXXX. I checked back later and found that Synchrony Bank had verified the account as being mine. I then had numerous conversations with the bank, they still say it's my account. On XX/XX/XXXX I sent the bank a certified/signature confirmation letter and received the confirmation showing they received the letter XX/XX/XXXX. In the letter I explained that I have been divorced from my ex since XXXX and had not lived at or received any mail at her address since then. I also provided them with my current address and explained that this has been my address since XXXX. I also stated that, per the Fair Credit Reporting Act, I was requesting copies of any and all documentation that they had used to verify the information they had sent to the credit reporting agencies. I also requested copies of any and all applications or documents showing that I had applied for and signed to open this account. I also advised that it was my understanding that they had 30 days to comply with my request or to have this item removed from my credit report. The bank sent me a letter, ( dated XX/XX/XXXX ) addressed to my ex and myself, ( now that they had MY address ), stating that they were opening a fraud investigation. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX about their investigation and was told I would be receiving fraud investigation forms and that I had to fill them out and get them sent back by XX/XX/XXXX, or the investigation would be dropped. I then received another letter from the bank dated XX/XX/XXXX. It stated that the claim review was complete and they found that the payments had been made by me, the account had been opened more than 12 months with statements sent to me and that I had authorized, participated in or benefited from the purchase. I immediately called the phone number they provided in their letter. I again explained that I had never made a payment, received a bill or benefited from their credit card. I again advised that the " joint '' account with my ex was opened 23 years after our divorce, and I hadn't received any mail at her address since XXXX. I was advised they would reopen the investigation. I called the bank again on XX/XX/XXXX and asked if they had acted on my Fair Credit Reporting Act request dated XX/XX/XXXX, received by them XX/XX/XXXX. She advised that they had 60 days to act on it, and that I would be hearing from them. On XX/XX/XXXX I called the bank again and asked where they were with my request per the FCRA, and he said he couldn't find it. So I provided him with the date and the name of the person that had signed for it. He looked some more and sad he couldn't find it. So I said that I paid close to {$8.00} to send a letter to them and it was lost. He said that it wasn't lost, he just couldn't find it. I asked if he could explain the difference and he didn't respond. He then told me that he would be sending me an affidavit to be filled out and signed by me to start a fraud investigation. I explained that an investigation was ongoing and I really didn't care about their investigation, I wanted some action on my FCRA request. He again stated that he couldn't find it and would be sending the forms. On XX/XX/XXXX I received the forms and they were the exact same forms that I filled out and returned to them in XXXX. I called the bank on XX/XX/XXXX and after more than 2 hours and speaking with or being disconnected from at least 6 different people, no one could help. The charge off amount was {$3600.00} per one of their letters.

Consumer Complaint: Syncrony Bank/ Sams Club DC. Card was used to help purchase and automobile. Credit limit was {$4300.00}. Card went delinquent XX/XX/XXXX. Account was charged off or closed on XX/XX/XXXX. It has been over XXXX years since this account has been charged off. Called the company on XX/XX/XXXX to attempt to reach a settlement.I was told that the debt was now managed by a law firm and provided the name and the phone number of the law firm. Is my debt with Syncrony Bank collections? or the law firm? Also when I check my credit report the account date shows current as of XX/XX/XXXX!
