Consumer Complaint: I have attempted to make payments multiple times to Synchrony without success. Furthermore, I have been unable to contact a live person when calling multiple times, and each time I call I am disconnected after a long wait period. Additionally, I am unable to make an online payment until after my due date, at which point I am charged a late fee. This appears to be a persistent issue with Synchrony, as evidenced by the numerous complaints from customers online.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I applied for a Care Credit line of credit. A soft pull was done and I was approved for {$7300.00} pending approval of the ID verification process. Once the ID process was completed I called in with a code I was given and at that time I was told I was denied. I requested to speak with the underwriting department to find out why and was told I had to wait to receive a letter. On XX/XX/2023 I received a letter stating data sources such as public records, phone directories or ss databases were checked & based on the results of those checks they were unable to confirm my identity with enough confidence to approve my application. I have had the same phone # for years, the same ss # for XXXX years and until recently I lived at the same address for 12 years. I have a good credit score with all 3 bureaus as well as a 100 % payment history. Why was I denied????

Consumer Complaint: PayPal Credit-Synchrony Bank closed my account and reported it to the credit bureaus as settled. This lowered my credit score significantly. I contacted PayPal Credit and was told the account was closed due to two missed payments. I have not missed payments. My account, which was open for years, had monthly scheduled automatic ACH payments through my bank account. My account details did not change and funds were available. My bank ran a report of my account activity. The report verified that I had XXXX overdrafts or returned payments. The report also confirmed that PayPal Credit did not present my scheduled ACH for payment during the months in question. I provided this information to PayPal Credit. They reinstated my account without my permission, now there is derogatory reporting due to the combination of the settled account and new account reporting errors. The final issue is that PayPal Credit has not resolved the reason my automatic draft was not presented for payment. They have directed me to resolve this matter with PayPal Customer Support. PayPal Customer Support could not resolve and deferred back to PayPal Credit. I am without resolution.

Synchrony bank claims that they will remove the {$30.00} fee, but I have not seen the return as yet. I have spent over an hour on the phone with PayPal technical support with no resolution to the payment portal issue or the failed ACH payment.
