Consumer Complaint: FCDPA 805 ( b ) FCDPA 808 ( 1 ) FCDPA 807 FCDPA 807 ( 6 ) We used to live at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This collector was sending collection letters to the above address when we no longer lived there. The Landlord/Homeowner of the previous address wrote " Does not live here '' on front envelope and returned the postage. XXXX then responded asking for an update on my current address and was sending mail to my new address before I had submitted a change of address with the USPS, how was this information obtained? Second issue is XXXX has illicitly refused to work with PayPal in correcting this. I had reached out to PayPal asking as to why I had a collection against me as I had stopped trying to do XXXX and had requested PayPal decommission my account. They never did. A unauthorized Charge for {$9.00} was submit to my PayPal account and as I had no money in it with orders to close it then processed to PayPal credit. PayPal never sent any notification or Correspondence. This whole time I didn't know I still even had a PayPal account until I got a collection letter from XXXX for {$270.00}. The original {$10.00} charge had sat accruing fees until is reached the insane amount it is. I was never notified, never given a chance to pay, they hid this from me. When talking to a PayPal rep I was notified that when an account is " Charged off '' it is no longer in the merchants interest to pursue, but if the debt buyer is willing to cooperate then the issue may be returned and resolved between the merchant and consumer. The 3rd party collection agency will not return it to PayPal as the rep had stated and I would have to " take it up with them '' So I don't understand how PayPal can violate the FDCPA by racking up fees and late charges on an account I ordered to be closed with a {$0.00} balance and {$0.00} in debt then avoid liability by selling it off for a comprehensive {$270.00}. I have contacted the Collector and spoke to a supervisor woman ( XXXX or XXXX ) who told me they do not care about the circumstance and that I owed {$270.00} or I can just leave it and my decision will reflect on my credit.. I believe they have violated the FDCPA because they showed XXXX the purchase of debt, but can not provide the original contract or proof that I agreed to all these fees and upcharges. They also do not have a California License number and still do not at the time of sending these letters They still have inaccurate information as my address has changed again and they are disputing the account with an address I havent lived at for over 5 years. I am uncomfortable directly communicating with this collector after their behavior and renegade path to retribution. Way out of bounds here

Consumer Complaint: After reviewing my credit bureau reports I discovered that a bank named Synchrony Bank has reported to the credit bureaus that I have an alleged debt owed to them in the amount of {$1500.00}. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 at about XXXX, I attempted to create an online account for my XXXX XXXX gas card . I entered all of the required information then pushed submit. The next screen showed that my information could not be processed and to call a number. The number was XXXX. I spoke to XXXX, who could not help me with opening the account. Next, I spoke to XXXX, a supervisor, who said my commercial account has to be paid by mail. Then I talked to XXXX, an account manager, who said XXXX was mistaken because he had given her incorrect information to tell me. XXXX tried to call the IT department for me, but the office was closed ( they are on the XXXX XXXX he said ). I called back and spoke to XXXX ( who told me she lives and works in XXXX ). She also could not help me login to my account. I don't understand why a company makes it so difficult to make an online account with them ( I've had similar trouble with my XXXX 's XXXX credit cards and another gas card ( XXXX ) ).

Issue: Closing your account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: I have had a Synchrony Care Credit card for over 3 years and have worked tirelessly to pay off any and all balances as quickly as possible when Ive used it. Without warning, on XX/XX/XXXX, they closed my account. After spending literally 45 minutes on the phone I was transferred to an account manager who simply stated that they reserve the right to close their cards whenever they do a review of the persons credit, debt to income ratio, debt to credit ratio and other factors. My spouse is undergoing XXXX treatments and this card was my lifeline. It had a XXXX balance with a {$1000.00} line of credit and we needed to use it this week for treatments. They left the other 2 cards I have with them with much smaller balances open, because of course theyre making money from the interest. 3 years Ive paid this card off whenever its been used without fail. Their complete lack of empathy or ethics is absolutely astounding. Why can they just close an account and reply with Weve mailed notification to you as to why but then not close the accounts with a balance? That just raised my debt to balance ratio significantly and my spouse CAN NOT WORK and is seeking treatments for XXXX XXXX What am I supposed to do now, that I really need those funds? Theyre response of, you can always reapply or see if you prequalify was not sufficient. They could have lowered the balance or reached out to me BEFORE just closing the card with impeccable payment history. I still dont have the email or letter they allegedly mailed out 3 days ago to tell me they closed my account without ethical cause or reason. I guess they were not making enough of a percentage return to value the fact that this card was incredibly important to me.
