Consumer Complaint: Between XX/XX/2023 through XX/XX/2023 my credit card was used with this business for over {$4000.00}. I have reported to the company Synchrony that these charges were fraudulent. I filed a claim with the credit card company and XXXX. Claim was denied. This is apparently an online betting service. The XXXX company refuses to give any accounting of any accounts that they have attributed to me. The company has several complaints about the same thing that happened to me. XXXX has received over {$4000.00} from this credit card in small increments within 7 days. This activity is not like any activity I have ever had with any synchrony card. This should not have been allowed to go on without speaking to me at the very least. I called the fraud department after they rejected my claim. This card per its terms of service has a protection against this exact thing and also says the same thing on the letter I received about my claim. I requested they send me what XXXX provided the bank that allowed them to deny my claim and to see what information they received I was told they had no documents and the company just said they verified my email address and simple things like that, but nothing else. I was told that they had no documents they could send me to show me what information was used about the XXXX transactions that allowed them to deny claim. They said they could not send per policy. I asked that I be sent that policy. She said she couldnt. I asked who her boss was and she said she did not know. She did say they reopened the claim, but I do not see any evidence that it has. The funds that I have filed a claim on are not removed from the credit card, which is affecting my credit score in a negative way.

Consumer Complaint: I now realize Synchrony Bank is an enabler of fraud. Several months ago I contacted them about trying to open a card in my name that I did not apply for. I told them that their conduct was deceptive and fraudulent. The person on the phone LAUGHED at me when I said I would report them to you. Months later, I found that my credit score had dropped 25 % from excellent to poor because someone was able to open a credit card with them in my name with only my name and social security number. I have since learned that Synchrony is a habitual repeat offender of this type of conduct.

Consumer Complaint: I have financing with XXXX XXXX through Synchrony Bank. I made a flooring purchase on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$2600.00}. The purchase agreement was XXXX percent interest as long as it was paid by XXXX. I then purchased flooring on XX/XX/XXXX in the amount of {$5800.00} and I asked the sales rep at the store if this would be considered a seperate charge he stated yes. And that I did not have to pay on this purchase until the other purchase was paid for. I have now called Synchrony Bank to see why I still owed {$800.00} on my first purchase and was told by the manager at Synchrony Bank that they monthly payments I was making was going towards the new loan not the previous loan. I had expressed that I was not informed that it would automatically go towards the new loan. It seems to me that synchrony was making the payments to the new loan so that the intrest would be added to the previous loan. I have called Synchrony to request to change the payments i made to go to the first loan and was told by a manager that there was nothing he could do. I am filling a dispute with them. I want them to put all the payments i made from XXXX XXXX to now to be put to my first loan.

Consumer Complaint: I was charged for merchandise/subscription service on my Sams Club World Elite MasterCard that I did not authorize from a merchant I never did business with on XX/XX/2023 {$5.00} and XX/XX/2023 for {$89.00} and filed a fraud compliant with the issuer of the Card ending in # XXXX. The charges were transferred to my new card ending in # XXXX. The merchant issued a credit on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX but sams club ( synchrony Bank/Sams Club ) has continued to bill my account ( XXXX different time ), for the amounts in question even though it was credited back as a result of fraud. i Have called several times and spoken with representatives that have " NOOO '' knowledge of financial accounts and I have gotten no where with them doing the right thing and making the right adjustment ( s ) to my bill. IT says I owe {$110.00} when in actuality I should only owe {$28.00}. See attachment ( s ) as proof of my complaint. Synchrony Bank keeps charging my account every day for the same amount even though it was proven to be fraud on the merchants part... ..The representative on the phone are not too customer friendly nor do they have the knowledge needed to speak to me about the problem, all they want to do is argue and show disrespect and I have never been late on a payment. The customer service is lousy to say the least.

Consumer Complaint: I have had an account with Synchrony Bank since XXXX. Made my payments on time, paid almost XXXX in XXXX, leaving like a XXXX or XXXX balance. When I did that they dropped my credit amount to XXXX. I even disputed the credit amount in writing but it was denied. I ended up paying it down to XXXX about XXXX to 4 months ago, then paid it off. Now they have closed my account. I have an appointment XX/XX/XXXX with my dentist to get some work done, was going to use the card to do this because its a little expensive. Also, my credit score dropped XXXX points with XXXX due to this account being closed. I am currently trying to build my credit so we can purchase a house. This has definitely took that chance away at no fault of my own. I feel like I have been singled out, there are millions of people with these cards, as soon as I paid it down to XXXX they lowered my credit amount to that. Then when I paid it off it wasnt no time after that they closed my account. I dont have any revolving accounts, my house was sold and that loan is paid off, my payment history is 100 % with my credit cards, and actually my credit score was XXXX when they closed my account, now its XXXX. Like I said, I was singled out for no reason.

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2023, I opened an online savings account with Synchrony Bank. On XX/XX/2023, {$20000.00} was debited from my personal checking account with XXXX XXXX XXXX to fund my Synchrony Savings Account. On or about XX/XX/2023, {$5500.00} was debited from my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to fund my Synchrony Savings Account. On or about XX/XX/2023, {$27000.00} was debited from my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to fund my Synchrony Savings Account. A total of {$52000.00} had been deposited with Synchrony Back. As of today, XX/XX/2023, I do not have access to my funds and I no longer have online access to my account. I have spoken with Synchrony Bank on multiple occasions have been informed, most recently on XX/XX/2023, and I have been informed there is a restriction on my account and that the funds can be unavailable for up to an additional 60 days. I informed Synchrony Bank on multiple occasions that having my fund be unavailable for 90 plus days is unacceptable as this is a savings account and not an investment nor a CD and I will be irreparably damaged if I do not have access to my funds ASAP. I informed Synchrony Bank to immediately lift the restriction to my funds, or to remit my funds back to my originating accounts with interest immediately. Synchrony Bank has refused to do this. I have further informed Synchrony Bank that I have lost faith in their solvency, given the fact that I am not allowed to access MY liquid funds and now have grave concerns about the safety of my funds. This is even compounded by the fact that Synchrony bank has deleted my online access and have provided me with no statement indicating the amount of funds they are holding for me. From outwards appearance, it doesnt even appear that my account with Synchrony Bank exists. I have statements from all my originating accounts showing the funds being debited and remitted to Synchrony Bank. I demand immediate access to my funds, return of my funds to their original accounts with interest or FDIC insured coverage for my funds.

The caller said that I had a debt on my Tjmaxx reward card and that I needed to pay it immediately. The caller gave me their phone number, which is XXXX, and their XXXX ID number, which is XXXX XXXX XXXX. I was suspicious of the call, so I decided to look up the XXXX ID number online. I found a website that said that the number might not be the real XXXX ID number for Tjmaxx. I also found a website that said that there have been reports of people being scammed by people who claim to be from Tjmaxx. I am concerned that I may have given my account number, bank name, and routing number to the scammer. I am worried that the scammer may use this information to steal money from my bank account. I have already contacted my bank and placed a fraud alert on my credit report. I am writing to you to ask for your help in investigating this scam. I would like to know if the XXXX ID number that I was given is the real XXXX ID number for Tjmaxx. I would also like to know if there have been any other reports of this scam. Consumer Complaint: According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. '' XXXX and XXXX are consumer reporting agencies and I am the Consumer. I have the right to ensure my private information is not shared which is backed by XXXX USC 6801 which states '' It is the policy of the Congress that each financial institution has an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customers nonpublic personal information. '' Synchrony Bank/ PPC is a financial institution by definition under that title. 15 USC 1681 section 604 a section 2 states that " In general Subject to subsection ( c ), any consumer reporting agency may furnish a consumer report under the following circumstances and no other : in accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. '' Synchrony Bank/ PPC , the financial institution and the Consumer reporting agencies XXXX and XXXX do not have my consent to furnish this information and they surely do not have my written consent. Any and all consent to XXXX, XXXX, Synchrony Bank/ PPC whether it be verbal, non-verbal, written, implied or otherwise is revoked. XXXX5 USC 6802 ( b ) ( c ) states that " A financial institution may not disclose nonpublic personal information to a nonaffiliated third party unless the consumer is given an explanation of how the consumer can exercise that nondisclosure option. '' Synchrony Bank/ PPC never informed me of my right to exercise my nondisclosure option. Not only that 15 USC 1681C ( a ) ( 5 ) states '' Except as authorized under subsection ( b ), no consumer reporting agency may make any consumer report containing any of the following items of information Any other adverse item of information, other than records of convictions of crimes which antedates the report by more than seven years. '' This account is an adverse item they are reporting again without my permission which is against the law. 15 U.S. Code 1681s2 ( A ) ( 1 ) A states " A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate. 15 U.S. Code 1681e states '' Every consumer reporting agency shall maintain reasonable procedures designed to avoid violations of section 1681c of this title and to limit the furnishing of consumer reports to the purposes listed under section 1681b of this title. XXXX and XXXX are not maintaining reasonable procedures. Also 12 CFR 1016.7 states that " A consumer may exercise the right to opt out at any time. '' I am opting out of your reporting services.

I am doing this because Walgreens customer service said in order to merge my old Walgreens account and my new account ( my old account has my Walgreens Mastercard attached to it ), I'd have to update my Walgreens account/rewards number on it with Synchrony.
