Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX - Did not make or authorize this charge. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - Did not make or authorize this charge. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - I made and authorized this charge. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - I made and authorized this charge. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX - I made and authorized this charge. I contacted Pal Pal Credit M/C about the charges that were not authorized in XXXX when finding the unauthorized charges on my statement. They said they would investigate and make a decision within 60 days. They contacted me stating that they found in favor of XXXX XXXX. I asked for copies of the charges in dispute. I was told that they could not give me that information. They said they would file a second dispute. I was once again contacted stating that again I was liable for the charges. Again, I stated, I had the authorized charge receipts in my possession and wanted to see the receipts the unauthorized charges they claimed I made. Again I was told they could not show them to me. They made an adjustment removing the charges on XX/XX/XXXX only to rebill them back... XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX SC {$92.00} XX/XX/XXXX XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX SC {$190.00} The representative I spoke to this time said the two disputed receipts had signatures that didn't match and that I should send in my receipts, I said I would furnish copies and was told where to send them. A third dispute was now open and again I was told 60 days for a resolution. When it was well over 60 days I contacted PayPal M/C and asked how the dispute was going. I was told they had no knowledge of the third dispute and hung up on me. I contacted them no less than 6 times in the last 2 weeks and I get put on hold and then disconnected. I have wasted numerous hours with this process and have been left with no alternatives except to contact your agency. I have had this credit card for many years, never been late with a payment which is paid in full every month through an automatic debit from my bank. I have never had a problem like this in the past and refuse to be a victim for {$290.00} of unauthorized charges.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: I received a Summons to court for XX/XX/XXXX with attached billing type of documentation that had only my first and last name on it, with no reference to a billing address, and only referenced the last XXXX digits of an account number. I have not had any communication that I know of from this debt collector. I do not recognize this debt or having a credit account with the referenced creditor. I do not have any record of payments being made by me to this creditor, though the statements say payments were being made apparently at some point. Also the provided statements show a card security fee being charged, which upon inquiry I was told it was something that was a type of service that would have paid the owed balance in full upon default, and that if this was legitimate, it should have not been sold to the debt buyer, XXXX XXXX, in the first place. The statement provided is dated for XX/XX/XXXX. I was advised by a lawyer that this debt is most likely identity theft, since the security service was purchased, as the claim amount is relatively low at {$2600.00}, and am retaining a lawyer for all communications, including with the company, and had been advised to not acknowledge the summons, as it could be construed as an admission to validity of the debt. This research has taken longer than expected, therefore the date of this complaint that I have been advised to submit personally after the fact.

Consumer Complaint: SYNCB/JC PENNEY PLCC ( Hotel and travel ) - XX/XX/2023, I went to JC Penny and wanted to open a card. I don't speak well English so I asked the cashier for help. I did not understand what happened there, they told me I would receive a letter in the mail. My daughter called today and after they kept hanging up while investigating for about 3 times, we finally got someone on the phone who could explain. She said it was not approved due to my social not matching my info, there was an extra XXXX entered. I have a XXXX score and get approved for credit cards for limits like XXXX XXXX or XXXX XXXXXXXX. There was no reason to not be approved other than on the application there was an extra XXXX entered when we applied with the cashier. Can we please have this removed from my credit? My full social did not match, and if they revise it, I would get approved for a good amount. At this point I don't need it, but it makes no sense to have them not work with me to correct it.

Consumer Complaint: There are errors on my credit report. I contacted the lender directly and I was not able to get my questions concerning these errors addressed. XXXX reported on XX/XX/2021 that account was last active. XXXX also reported XX/XX/2021 was the last payment date. XXXX reported last active date was XX/XX/2021 and last payment was XX/XX/2021. XXXX stated XX/XX/2021 account was last Active and on XX/XX/2021 last payment was made. All these errors on my report makes it impossible for me to understand. This is frustrating and has caused me a great deal of stress. Please remove this account off my credit report.

Issue: Problem with a lender or other company charging your account
Subissue: Transaction was not authorized
Consumer Complaint: I recently signed up for a TJMaxx rewards card. Synchrony Bank is the issuer. I finally got my card and paid my bill of {$17.00} on XX/XX/2023. However, there is a withdrawal on my XXXXXXXX XXXX Checking Account for {$250.00} that Synchrony Bank completed on XX/XX/2023. This was not announced, was completely unauthorised, and they have been impossible to properly contact because they send me back to TJMaxx rewards when the issue is with the bank, not TJMax. I am currently disputing the charge with XXXX XXXX but am not okay with the outright theft that Synchrony Bank committed. It is nowhere in their terms and conditions and they quite literally just stole XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX from me. There is no way they can explain it in which this was an accident.

Issue: Fees or interest
Subissue: Charged too much interest
Consumer Complaint: I noticed an unusually high interest charge on my XXXX statement with PayPal Credit . This fee dramatically exceeded my APR rate. There was no breakdown of the fee. When I contacted support, they refused to provide me a breakdown of the fees. I asked several times. I was then concerned that PayPal Credit ( Synchrony Bank ) is committing fraud which breaks the Usury Laws of California. Upon mentioning this to the customer service representative, he stated he would speak to his supervisor. Immediately after this, they reversed the entire interest fee that was charged to me. This made me even more suspicious and is the reason why I am filing this complaint. I have gone through past statements and I am concerned that this has been ongoing for many years.
