I attempted to make the payment, but there was not any money in the account at the time, so it got rejected and I was charged a fee. I made XXXX and XXXX 's payments on time with auto pay. On XX/XX/2023, an auto payment successfully went through, but by accident a manual payment was processed as well. I tried to explain the circumstance, but the rep told me the decision has been made.

Consumer Complaint: Back in beginning of XXXX ( Covid Days ), I used XXXXXXXX XXXX to make a small purchase of {$20.00}. At that time, I had PayPal as my only payment method to pay for any XXXX purchases. To my surprise, without any agreed-on arrangement, without my knowledge and six months later they started sending me a statement from unknown bank by the name of Synchrony Bank ! I reached out to both XXXX and Synchrony Bank to inform them that the payment was made on my PayPal card. They acted like they understood and well aware of my sole payment method on my account. Both XXXX and Synchrony Bank customer services tried to act like someone used my account without my knowledge and they want to list it as a Fraud, even know I told them that the purchase is valid and legit. After multiple monthly conversations with multiple customer service representatives after receiving a false statement, I was not giving any option, other than to transfer to Fraud Hot Line! to report this. Going through this non-sense scam and unethical practice just to inform me that they canceled a credit card, that was never sent to me and promising me that this issue is closed and there is nothing for me to worry about. But fast forward 2 months later they kept sending me new statement that grow about {$30.00} a month and here we are in XXXX with outstanding balance of about {$600.00}. The last statement received shows that amount as transfer from a fake credit card to another fake credit card that I know nothing about!, but the amount is growing by the day. What I see here is two companies trying to scram consumers to recover from slow Covid days lost revenues. I need to report this as a complete Scam by these two companies and also make consumer aware of such a lousy ploy to generate revenues. I am not sure what to do here! Do I need to hire a Lawyer or contact the XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Synchrony bank/ paypal credit is worst financial institution that I've ever worked with. I ask them for months to provide me with a settlement and they refused saying that I would need a late payment for them to offer me a settlement. They then charged off my account and proceeded to report it wildly inaccurately to all three credit bureaus. I've asked that it be corrected or removed at least 10 times and they refuse to do so. In addition, they have charged large and unnecessary fees to my account and they are even reporting my account as " closed '' and " over limit '' which is wholly untrue.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to bring a serious matter to the attention of the Consumer Finance. My complaint pertains to unauthorized interest charges that I have been facing from Synchrony Bank in connection with my credit card account with XXXX XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, I availed of a credit card through XXXX XXXX XXXX 's website, with the understanding that I would be eligible for a XXXX interest-free financing offer. Based on this assurance, I proceeded to make purchases using the credit card. However, since the initial purchase, I have been consistently charged interest, despite fulfilling all the criteria for the free financing option. I have attempted to resolve this issue by reaching out to Synchrony Bank 's customer service on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, my attempts have been in vain as they have been unable to rectify the problem or provide any reasonable explanation for the erroneous charges. I have attached relevant copy of purchase records and chat transcripts with XXXX XXXX XXXX for your reference. My total purchase amount from XXXX XXXX XXXX stands at {$2600.00}, which I have diligently paid in monthly installments, with the final payment made on XX/XX/XXXX. However, to my dismay, Synchrony Bank claims that I still owe them {$1800.00} due to alleged interest charges. I vehemently dispute this claim as I have made every effort to comply with the terms of the free financing agreement. I am a middle-class individual with a strong track record of responsible bill payment and a XXXX XXXX of XXXX, which reflects my financial credibility. Therefore, I find it inconceivable that I would willingly incur interest charges and late fees. My intention is to promptly resolve this matter and seek justice for the undue financial burden caused by Synchrony Bank 's negligence. I kindly request the Consumer Finance 's intervention in this matter to thoroughly investigate the issue and ensure a fair resolution. I believe that I have fulfilled all the obligations as a customer and should not be held accountable for erroneous charges that are beyond my control.

Thay keep telling to check again and again and again but until now it doesnt works. Today I called again & still they telling me to try again after 3-5days. Its been almost 2 months no access with my account. Only online is the access for this account. They dont have physical bank. How can I get my money? Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is in follow up to my good faith effort to resolve this issue with Synchrony Bank/CareCredit both directly and through a XXXX complaint, filed on XX/XX/2023, Complaint ID # XXXX. I reported deceptive billing practices on my CareCredit card. I have been a longtime CareCredit consumer and have always paid my monthly payments on time and in good faith paid my promotional purchases off in advance of their due date to avoid accruing interest. I do not receive statements in the mail and utilize their online website to pay my bills. It recently came to my attention, when I thought I two promotional purchases left to pay off that the balance of my promotional purchases did not add up to the remaining balance of my credit card. When I inquired about the discrepancy, I was told I have been incurring interest on other promotional purchases that were not paid before their due date. This purchase that had been accruing interest for over a year was not made clearly visible to me, the consumer, thus making me unaware of the compounding interest that I was being indebted to CareCredit for. CareCredit intentionally hide the purchase history, only showing the two promotional purchases that were not interest bearing UNTIL this was brought to their attention in the XXXX complaint and quickly modified my visibility on XX/XX/XXXX to reflect the interest bearing purchase. This is consumer fraud to not have truth in reporting and billing. They refused to proactively settle via the XXXX and subsequently closed the complaint instead. When asked for a clear understanding and explanation as to the discrepancy between my remaining promotional balance of XXXX and the outstanding card balance of XXXX I was provided with excuses and then a new regular charge appeared on my account as of XX/XX/XXXX which had not previously been there prior to the XXXX complaint. This billing practice is retaliatory. Respectfully I declined the non-resolution offered by CareCredit and Synchrony Bank as a result of the XXXX Complaint. As a longtime consumer who has in good faith paid my credit card every month and has in GOOD FAITH, PROACTIVELY paid off ALL my promotional balances to date prior to the due date, I was shocked to realize that my remaining two promotional balances did not add up to my credit card balance. CareCredit only recently made modifications to my online billing statement as of XX/XX/2023 AFTER this was formerly brought to their attention via the XXXX Complaint as a retaliatory measure against me calling them out for their fraudulent billing behavior. Prior to this complaint there was NO indication that there was still a regular purchase that was accruing interest. I religiously go online to make my monthly payments and when a promotional purchases is coming due I am sure to make extra payments leading up to and request that the payments be allocated accordingly. Synchrony Bank XXXX CareCredit made changes to visibility of my billing AFTER this claim was brought forth. This is deceitful. As a consumer, I am only able to pay what I am unable to see. Withholding pertinent information because it was in their best interest to do so is financial and consume fraud. Withholding this regular purchase history from my online billing portal was in their best interest and enabled them to continue to charge me interest without transparently disclosing where the interest was coming from. Worse yet, they chose to do so, during a down economy and pandemic. As a result of this company 's steadfast complicity with deceptive billing practices, I am following up with this formal complaint to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. It has been said before that, Medical debt is already a big problem for many Americans. Poor credit card transparency should not be making the problem even worse, said CFPB Director. Deferred-interest products can be risky for consumers in the best of circumstances, and todays action ensures that CareCredit will no longer profit from consumer confusion. The Bureau will not tolerate financial companies that take advantage of patients and their loved ones. Under the Dodd-Franck Reform and Consumer Act, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has ( and should again ) seek the necessary authority to take action against institutions such as Synchrony Bank & CareCredit who continue to engage in unfair and deceptive practices. To ensure consumers harmed by the inadequate disclosures and deceptive enrollment processes are appropriately compensated, and that consumers are no longer subject to these unfair practices.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, I purchased a dishwasher online from Lowe 's, The company was running a promotion for their credit card and offered a {$100.00} discount if a major purchase was made using their card, I applied for the card and was accepted and used this card for my purchase. The dishwasher was delivered and installed in our home. We paid for the dishwasher and installation by debit card from our bank for the full amount. A month later we started being billed for another dishwasher,. I contacted the credit card company which is run by Synchrony Bank. I filled a fraud report and they found in our favor and issued a charge back. This was sent back to Lowe 's and they turned it down and continued charging us. I have spent the last year arguing with clerks at the company and made no progress. They have no proof of this additional purchase. They claim I picked up the dishwasher at the store. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and it is ridiculous to even think that I did this.. My wife and I are not thieves or con-men. They say now we owe over {$1000.00}. Any help you can give us would be greatly appreciated.

XXXX XXXX 's affiliated financial banking institution have claimed to me that they have not received the check. Both financial institution associated with XXXX XXXX, XXXX and Synchrony Bank have said they have no record of the check. However my bank has confirmed the check was received and deposited. I have since followed up with copies of the check and letters from my bank sent via mail and faxes confirming all information and still have not gotten my account balance resolved/closed.

Consumer Complaint: I have been getting calls since XX/XX/XXXX. I filed a report back on XXXX with FTC. I always have tried to ignore the phone calls but I got another call today about someone trying to deliver papers to my home. I said yes I would be home. Then someone called my husband at XXXX from XXXX stating they were called XXXX XXXX and they needed to talk to me about a lawsuit that was going to be filed under my name. The same person called then proceeded to call a family member of my husbands whom I don't have a relationship with at XXXX and stated the same thing to them. This was from the same number XXXX. ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) I proceeded to call back because it was so annoying they called people that have nothing to do with me about my information. They then had me call XXXX and I spoke with a XXXX XXXX who transfered me to a gentleman stating that I had a debt from XXXX with amazon which I do not recall. he was stating he was going to file a lawsuit for my wages with my current employer and that if I had a dispute that then I would have to countersue them. He had my social security number, cellphone, and home address, and dob. These calls have been going on for such a long time and its freaking me out that they have all this information on me. The company is supposeldly called XXXX XXXX.
