Consumer Complaint: I submitted a request on XX/XX/XXXX for a Lienholder 's Certificate which is needed for me to do a Boundary Line Elimination on my property, combining 25 little lots into one lot. This is necessary for tax purposes and county planning and development purposes. It is now XXXX of XXXX. I have provided all their requirements - a property survey, a property plat before the proposed changes and an unheard of {$500.00} charge to create the certificate. After nine months and over 30 phone calls they have still not provided me with the document. Every time I call they tell me it is pending. They have made a few attempts to call me, but have never left messages or a convenient time/way to return calls even though I've requested a specific method of establishing direct contact. The few times I was able to reach a live person, the only information they have provided in nine months is that the request is with their legal department, there is no way to reach that department directly, they can only continue to contact the legal department and ask for updates, and that the matter is still pending. I have sent numerous emails and phone calls. I finally submitted the following Letter of Demand by email on XX/XX/XXXX. This is a Letter of Demand regarding a request submitted to your office XX/XX/XXXX. The Demand is for a Lienholders Certificate that has not been completed in 8 months since the initial request. SPS requested a plat and survey which was submitted XX/XX/XXXX. By XXXX of XXXX, the document still had not been received. SPS stated the request was sent to the legal department and the cost would be {$500.00} for them to generate the document, but no one knew how or when the payment was to be made. No indication of what the next steps were provided. The same information was given repeatedly and no one had updates from legal. After a number of phone calls to the ombudsman department placed throughout XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, information was finally provided about how to pay the required fee, which was made immediately on XX/XX/XXXX. Since then, over 20 calls have been placed to SPS for updates and no further progress or information has been provided. This is unacceptable.

Consumer Complaint: My father passed away XXXX years ago and left no will. The property went to my mom. We moved in with my mother to help take care of her, she was trying to get a loan modification, they told her to not make any payments until the modification went through, but that never went through. They kept telling her things were missing and she kept having to resend the same documents over and over. She got behind and the mortgage company kept telling her, that unless she could pay the total amount behind they wouldn't accept it. My mother passed away in XXXX unexpectedly and shortly after her death we were served with foreclosure paperwork. I contacted the mortgage company and they refused to speak with me. I am the personal representative for my moms probate and they still refused to speak with me. I have sent them all the paperwork they requested and they still say that it is wrong. They even say now that they have nothing to show my mother is dead, when i sent them all the paperwork. I replied to their summons and requested foreclosure intervention, I just received the denial letter, even though I was never contacted about any of my information to work on an intervention. They have served someone not related to me, the foreclosure intervention was denied through the law firm of the prosecutors lawyer. I filed a XXXX for unfair practices and requested foreclosure intervention again. I just received an email for mediation, I'm sure that's because I requested a XXXX XXXX. I have contacted them numerous times and the lawyer to no prevail. I want to keep the house and take it over, but I can't get anywhere. The company handling the mortgage has pages and pages of complaints of them doing the same things to other families, stringing them along until people get so far behind they loose their homes. I really just need help, but I am not made of money. I had to use my 403b when covid hit, so I can't even use that. I was wondering if you could help.

I have called multiple times and every time they ask me to send a letter and they would get back to me 30 days. which is insane. And there is no way to pay the low fee amount. I have called and sent multiple emails about it to them and the service is purpose awful to the point where it is fraudulent.

Consumer Complaint: Since XX/XX/XXXX I have not been able to make my payments to select portfolio servicing due to my financial hardship in relation to XXXX and becoming a full-time parent of XXXX very young girls who while with their mother, experienced verbal mental and physical abuse which is documented through the courts. The incident with my children happened initially in XX/XX/XXXX and I had been going to court and meeting with therapist and investigators and child protective services agencies. So by the time XXXX came around a little under a year later I had therapist and court dates I had to attend in relation to my children. I had to take them to therapist. Additionally, due to XXXX magnifying the hardship. I also had to homeschool, and my business, which was a roadside assistance company suffer greatly due to the lack of commuting in my state, due to the fact it was shut down in XX/XX/XXXX SPS notified me I need to do start a mortgage assistance application due to my hardship even though my state using the forbearance to give homeowners time during this XXXX epidemic and SPS putting XXXX a public statement that they are going to operate, consistent with the states and how they are proceeding with mortgages. So since XX/XX/XXXX I have been submitting documents and filling out applications over and over. They will not take my payments and they always have additional documents. Theyre requesting XXXX of my last reviews in XXXX. They said that my bank statements didnt reflect payments for my tenants. This was due to SPS proceeding with a foreclosure while still asking me for documents and giving me the impression that they are looking to review me for a modification or some sort of payback plan. So there was a sale date that was issued for my property and numerous pieces of mail sent to myself and my tenants along with notices that were taped to my door, stating that this property was going to be sold at which point my tenant no longer felt comfortable, making XXXX months payments, knowing that there was a chance that at the end of that month they XXXX not Have a place to live so they were making me partial by monthly or weekly rent payments which I detailed every time I give them a sufficient amount of information. They always ask for something additional and do this until the time lapse is on the app application, then I appeal, hi I have called of SPS with HUD and was able to start a new application at which point I provided everything they asked plus the information they needed that prevented him from completing the application previously but they always need additional information and during the last XXXX years while submitting documents and communicating with SPS I have been told everything from every representative things that range from I have nothing to worry about. Theyre just gon na do for the amount to the back end of my loan and Ill be fine. Well I may need to worry about two. Im gon na lose my property and this is because even though the letters from SPS state that I have a relationship XXXX every time I call and put in her extension I just get a random person a random representative now. XXXX P.S I never signed any documents for them to service my loan. It just got transferred to them, and my loan went from being government secured to not which during this time made a big difference the original loan representative XXXX XXXX, who set this loan up, gave me the impression that this was going to be a short term loan due to the fact that the rate was so high XXXX for the time he additionally had me paying him money for on the side to get my loan processed even though come to find out he charged me and the processors charged me a lot of money for this loan. Also, I was misled into believing that this was going to be a temporary loan and he would be getting me a loan with a much better rate shortly instead after receiving a {$3000.00} payment for me in XX/XX/XXXX he disappeared and moved out of state, and I never received another refi and was stuck at a high rate. In short, my complaint is 1 ) due to SPS, moving forward with foreclosure, while I was in the XXXX ) not having a single point of contact, which has made this whole process, very confusing, and the information I am being given inconsistent, and also Ive had to detail my circumstances to numerous representatives over and over. XXXX ) I never signed an agreement with SPS they took over my loan without me even knowing, and my loan went from the government back to not government XXXX ) my mortgage processor was misleading me into believing that this would be a temporary loan and that I needed to pay him to process it even though in the end, they made a lot of money were looking through my mortgage documents in regards to the Points they charged, and the fact that my loan was for such a high interest rate. XXXX ) also for the last XXXX years Ive been having to submit documents. Ive received over XXXX pieces of mail from SPS that they bombarded my residence with in regards to requested documents and bits of information like conflict. For instance, in the same day I would receive a letter stating that they are proceeding with reviewing my application and it will take 30 days to give me a response the very same day getting the article of mail in the same delivery that states I need to provide additional documents, and what Ive given is not sufficient also them not operating consistently with their public statements and making me stress and provide documents during a time where I shouldve been able to focus on my business and my children more due to the forbearances, that my state was issuing to protect him on my hours during the XXXX epidemic
