Consumer Complaint: I applied for forbearance in XX/XX/2021. Enrollment was down at the college I worked at and my workload was shortened. SPS keeps asking for the same paperwork over and over again. I recently gave them my check stubs and they are requesting my check stubs again. SPS has no intention of helping anyone that was struggling financially during the COVID Pandemic. If they were looking to help me why did they do a Property Valuation Report, see attached. They keep sending me documentation on XXXX. I inherited the house from my parents that were in XXXX XXXX while alive. I am in XXXX XXXX but the property is not listed on my XXXX XXXX because at the time of my filing the house was just beginning probate court. SPS has no intention of working with me, their only intention is to sell my house, I have seen all reviews on this company. This company doesn't help anyone struggling financially. They use forbearance to trick people into an early foreclosure. Also the relationship managers never respond to your emails, voicemails or faxes.

Did not take them long to present fraudulent information because XXXX XXXX letter said they would look into matter and XXXX XXXX is the fraudulent response because it was threatening. First, it falsely states I asked SPS to close my escrow account. I never requested such. Then the threats continue in the letter that effectiveXX/XX/XXXX I will be penalized if by fines and penalties and my property will be placed in tax lien. 1. How do I change loan servicing entities so not to be harassed and ripped off by SPS? 2. Why the threats when I asked clarification on why sudden increase on my monthly loan payments by 200-300+ dollars? I needed explanation. 3. In XXXX, XXXX County, Texas, there is a property tax exemption at age XXXX. I am XXXX and wanted to know why property tax increases and insurance is the most affordable in Texas. My monthly payments should not increase. This loan is fixed rate.

I continued to pay when in XXXX of XXXX I made my payment and was informed it would be applied to an XXXX missed payment I explained I missed no payments and sent the proof of the payment then I was told I was 3payments behind XXXX, XXXX, XXXX of XXXX I sent the proof of those payments and began to receive foreclosure notices.I have attempted to come to a resolution with no luck I even got help from XXXX and I placed the home forsale in XXXX when sps inc ask me to remove the home from the market so they could assist me in keeping my home since I applied for 3 modifications all where denied. SPS is not accepting payment for mortgage. SPS refuses to unlock client 's account and allow correct payment of {$450.00} SPS has changed contract without notice and current signature of client. SPS is in violation of Modified Order XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Fri, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX ( 7 days ago ) to Ombudsman Hi, SPS stopped my escrow account this year and sent me a refund. Now SPS is attempting to charge me for said escrow. Without telling me you opened another escrow account. I am continuing with the " escrow account closure by SPS. '' I am not opening another escrow account or any account with XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX or any other bank. This is theft of money and I have sent the Colorado AG office a copy of this. I DON'T HAVE AN ESCROW ACCOUNT WITH SPS. SPS CLOSED THE ESCROW ACCOUNT AND SENT ME A REFUND AND NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN WITHOUT MY KNOWING THEY OPENED ANOTHER ONE. I DO NOT OWE SPS ANY MONEY OTHER THAN A MONTHLY PAYMENT. SPS STOP STEALING FROM ME ONCE AGAIN. Consumer Complaint: I changed banks that my automatic payment is deducted from back in XX/XX/XXXX. Select services acknowledged the change by letter. In XX/XX/XXXX they tried to pull payment from old bank. On XX/XX/XXXX they called to tell me I never made pmt. I explained that they probably did not pull pmt from correct bank and asked that they confirm new bank account and they record my payment as made on XX/XX/XXXX. They left the record of pmt as XX/XX/XXXX and reported to credit Bureau. My credit dropped due to additional funds added to my mortgage. Again in XX/XX/XXXX I received call on XX/XX/XXXX that I have not paid. Again they did not submit pmt withdrawal correctly. I can't call till XX/XX/XXXX because offices are closed. This will be 2 months in a row they are recording put not made on XX/XX/XXXX. I will be charged interest when I sell or pay off my from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. My credit will drop again. I want this fixed and my payments recorded on XX/XX/XXXXof month.

Consumer Complaint: We have paid consistently since XXXX. They have changed the payments every so often. They filed a foreclosure action back in XXXX or so and because of circumstances, forced us to enter into a temporary modification to repay and we made every payment and have done so. Then for some reason, even though we paid monthly, they filed foreclosure action again. We entered into another loan remp modification, made temp payments as agreed, but when temp modification concluded, they presented us with a new permanent loan modification that would have added an additional {$110000.00} of interest onto our balance. When I did all the calculations for them and did all the comparisons for them in detail, they did not even bother to respond. In facet, they said take it or leave it, but they did accept payment for every month since the foreclosure has been filed. It should be noted that the present rate of our mortgage is 6.9 %, over 4 % the going rate. They apply funds any way they see fit. We have requested on several occasions to work with us to resolve the matter because we pay, we have Illness in the family including XXXX, Post XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and still made payments every month the foreclosure has been pending, but without rational explanation, proper accounting of funds posted and proper rebuttal to the outrageous proposal in their original loan modification, they refuse to offer any reasonable mitigation or modification instead move like a predator. All this can be documented upon request.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX assisting my client, Mr. XXXX XXXX with his mortgage issue regarding Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. known as SPS. Mr. XXXX loan number is XXXX and the property address is XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX ( Or XXXX XXXX ), CA XXXX. I recently got acquainted with Mr. XXXX after many years of him fighting a losing fight with SPS and after being placed on a 12 months repayment plan that doubled his usual monthly mortgage payment with a hefty balloon payment at the end of such repayment plan of {$88000.00}. According to Mr. XXXX, his usual monthly mortgage payment is {$2600.00}, but the 12 months repayment monthly payment was {$5200.00} and Mr. XXXX judiciously made these payments for the 12 months. Mr. XXXX have requested for loan modification or any loss mitigation assistance from SPS on numerous occasions, but to no avail, but instead, he has been threaten with foreclosures and have been actually been placed on foreclosure and it's currently in foreclosure after making the 12 months repayment plan that is actually a 24 months mortgage payment. I submitted the refinance to XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), but was declined due to SPS submitted payment history and later attempted to submitted to XXXX XXXX and was also decline due to SPS placing the property on foreclosure and this was discovered when XXXX XXXX demanded for the credit supplement. SPS dealings with Mr. XXXX has been horrific, insensitive and unlawful. The placement of excessive fees on the loan, the balloon payment at the end of the repayment plan and the doubling of the repayment monthly payment is just inhumane.
