Consumer Complaint: When SPS responded to the last complaint I sent on the XXXX, they sent the same exact response as their response for the complaint on the XXXX. They did not explain why one of their representatives ( XXXX ) misinformed me about my right to have a forbearance. I understand why I couldnt get a forbearance in the past and dont need to see the same information over and over again. Just directly answer the questions I raise in my complaint. I have contacted an attorney and he told me that every American has the right to a forbearance no matter the delinquency. Also, SPS is telling people to call my house everyday telling me I have to move. Especially a woman named XXXX XXXX. I am going to complain to Washington XXXX directly.

Consumer Complaint: filed bankruptcy chapter XXXX in XXXX did not include my mortgage which at the time was regions mortgage. my loan then got sold to select portfolio services ( SPS ) and since then none of my payment history or loan information is being reported on my credit bureaus. SPS says they need a reaffirmation affidavit to report and my bankruptcy attorney says they do not that they just choose not to report the payments. i did ask SPS for a payment history which they provided for the past 3 years and am grateful for them doing that. when i called XXXX credit bureau they said they can not use this to report to the credit bureau. so i am back to square one.

Issue: Closing on a mortgage

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: A payoff request was requested several times. The same amount was sent by fax and given by phone 2 weeks in a row. I was advised it was good for 30 days. I even called at the closing table on Thursday, XX/XX/2021 to confirm the amount. SPServicing was called to advise we are at the closing table are the figures correct to submit the payment. XX/XX/2021 the company called to say that they returned the check for the amount of {$150000.00} because it was allegedly short {$1500.00}. As of today no one can say where the checks are. The taxes were paid by my Title company.

Issue: Trouble during payment process

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I refinanced by property at XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Florida. Once the loan was funded I received notification that the servicing company was going to be XXXX XXXX XXXX and I established automatic payments for the new mortgage payments to be taken from my bank account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a letter from the bank saying that they were going to be switching servicing companies to Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ) effective XXXX XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, i received a goodbye letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX saying the loan had been transferred back to themselves On XX/XX/XXXX i received a welcome package from SPS stating that they were the new mortgage servicer and as a result I set up automatic payments out of my bank account with the new servicing company. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called XXXX XXXX lending to ensure that the loan had been transferred as I did not want to make double mortgage payments. I spoke with customer service and they made it clear to me that they were tho OFFICIAL servicer of the loan and that SPS had no right to contact me and they said that I needed to continue to make my regular monthly payment to them or they would report a derrogatory on my credit report. I then called SPS and reported the problem and they empantically stated in contradiction to XXXX XXXX XXXX that they were in fact the OFFICIAL loan servicer and they had document to prove it. They also suggested that if i did not pay them they would report it negatively on my credit report. I have been forced to make double mortgage payments since XXXX. Neither company will contact the other to help resolve this issue. I have made contact with each of the respective companies in excess of 15 times to report the issue and both insist that they are the correct servicer. Meanwhile my bank account has been drained. I am now broke. Neither company is wroking to resolve nor refund the excess payments and none are willing to resolve this issue. I have spoken with the highest levels of management from both companies and they express to me that nothing can be done within their scopes of authority to fix the situation. I need the government to step in an help resolve this and get my overpayments back. i have been shuffled around like a deck of cards from one lame customer service agent to another. I honestly can not tell you who is worse ... .Select portfolio servicing or XXXX XXXX XXXX. In my opinion they both are less that a XXXX out of XXXX. I am sure that there are laws in place that are supposed to prevent things like this from happening to a consumer. The long and short of it is that the companies hide behind their phone systems and emails and largely ignore the situation. I recently was advised 2 days ago that XXXX XXXX XXXX was going to transfer the loan to SPS on XX/XX/XXXX but they would not be refunding me my overpayment. PLEASE HELP ME get my money back. This is not right!!!!

Consumer Complaint: SPS Servicing has been awful. I had my loan transferred to them and they have not applied payments to my account and consistently raise payments and increase escrow as well as homeowners insurance. They even deducted more money in one check I wrote electronically. They also are not applying my payments when I have deposited checks shown!

Issue: Trouble during payment process

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was transferred to Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ) in late XXXX, 2021 after I made my 1st month payment ( due date XX/XX/2021 ) to the original mortgage company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ), since then, it has been a nightmare to deal with SPS, first, after the mortgage was transferred, nobody sent me the updated information for where to send the payment due XX/XX/2021, and I ended up having to send my 2nd payment to XXXX again. XXXX, after I paid my XX/XX/2021 due date mortgage, it looked like SPS suddenly woke up and found they didn't get my XX/XX/2021 due date payment, I called, emailed and told them again and again the payment was sent to XXXX, instead of checking with XXXX, SPS started to harass me with one letter after another ( total 17 letters sent to me, many with the same content ). 3rd, finally, after more than 60 days of investigation, they figured out, however, they still didn't get my escrow account correct by missing one month 's escrow payment, I emailed and mailed a letter to them to help correct the mistake, instead of getting it fixed asap, SPS sent me 4 more letters ( same content! ) saying the investigation will take another 30days!!! I was so frustrated and fed up with this company, I worked with so many mortgage companies before, and never ever in my life having met with a mortgage company like SPS with such messy, unprofessional and endless dragging practice, please help! Thanks.
