Consumer Complaint: I received a loan modification offer from Select Portfolio. I had until XX/XX/22 to send in the sign agreement. Since I had been struggling to pay my mortgage due to income reduction for quite sometime, I was forced to file XXXX XXXX. While trying to pay a mortgage and an extremely high Trustee payment I took a part time job which ended due to Covid 19. I was finally told I could enter a forbearance. Later I was given the modification. As of today my account hasnt been updated. I called to speak with a mgr and I was told that the information that I sent in signed and notarized was incomplete. After calling numerous times and getting the runaround, XXXX months later and no contact from sps, finally to let me know that a page hadnt been notarized. I have to do this all over again and pay again to send it to them. When I asked why no one had contacted me about this, she could not give me an answer. In the meantime my attorney & The Trustee are asking for the paperwork from them. This company has representatives that you can talk to on the same day and each one will tell you something different! I have been back and forth with Select Portfolio for years just to ask something simple and they tell you what they think will get you off the phone quickly. The handling of this is very unprofessional. I asked about the mortgage payments that I had been sending. At first she only saw the one I sent in XXXX. She finally found the one I sent on XX/XX/XXXX, but never answered my question whether it went toward the modification agreement terms. When I go online it shows that they are updating my file and had received my signed agreement. I just dont understand how they just get away with this!

Consumer Complaint: Sps servicing evidently bought my mortgage from original. I called for a payoff on XX/XX/XXXX and the amount was XXXX. I paid {$500.00} through my bank XXXX on XX/XX/2021 and my regular payment of {$490.00} came out on the XXXX of XXXX leaving a balance of XXXX somehow they took these payments off and added them back on the next day. They are saying I owe XXXX dollars I have a XXXX statement which show the amount due as {$1000.00}. Since then they have tried to keep taking payments from my account which I have blocked. I have called numerous times to talk about this and keep getting the same non answers and you can not talk to the same people ever. I need help this is ruining my credit. Consumer Complaint: The mortgage loan was paid in full as of XX/XX/2022. The company, nor I, owe any additional payments, charges, fees to Select Portfolio Servicing Inc ( SPS ). In fact, the mortgage loan was overpaid on purpose so XXXX XXXX XXXXould realize that the balance will come to {$0.00}, regardless of how many illegal, deceptive, unethical, non-transparent and more importantly pure theft charges, fees and " made up '' balances they want to attempt to make. There is a bank account that was linked to the online payment system within SPS at www.spservicing.com. This is a primary bank account that is treasured. Low and behold, what do you know?! SPS has found a way to LOCK, BLOCK and completely STOP the bank account to be fully removed, even though there has been a XXXX Balance / Paid In Full Account dating back to XX/XX/2022! See the attached screenshots. This is a literal fact that SPS has completely removed all abilities for me to legally remove my bank account from the online account. Here is the icing on the cake!! Select Portfolio Servicing Inc. has done it yet again. They not only have locked me out from removing my bank account from the online system, but they also have recurring payments scheduled starting XX/XX/2022! This is pure theft! The mortgage loan is completely paid in full over a month ago. And SPS finds a way to top themselves yet again! My bank account must be removed this week by Friday XX/XX/2022 at XXXX PM EST. All banking information and banking accounts must be fully removed from my online account Friday XX/XX/2022 at XXXX PM EST. All current, pending and future illegal payments that SPS has in their system and all payments that SPS has completely and illegally locked me out from disabling and voiding out, needs to be fully removed and updated by this Friday XX/XX/2022 at XXXX PM EST. This is pure theft, this is illegal, this is highly unethical, and I will not stand for this for another moment.

Consumer Complaint: I have requested mortgage assistance due to ( salary reduction due to COVID impacts ) and completed all required paperwork. The mortgage servicer has continually requested documents that we have already provided even though we have had verbal insurances that all of our documentation was correct. The servicer eventually stopped accepting mortgage payments, although we have continued to submit documents and to get assistance. The mortgage servicer 's rejection of our application was based on erroneous information, or false information ( for instance, the mortgage servicer stated that we did not qualify for a repayment plan because we " did not submit sufficient financial information to determine if our income could support the proposed payment ''. This is not true. We repeatedly all of the information that was requested. Based on these and other errors, we appealed the denial. We were then told to resubmit a request for payment assistance. We would just like to get this resolved, but we feel as though we are getting the run around.

Consumer Complaint: In or around XX/XX/2020 I entered a 3 month forbearance plan with SPS mortgage servicing company. I intended to modify or refinance the high interest loan as soon as the forbearance period ended. As a standard most lenders require 3 consecutive on-time payments for a borrower to qualify for refinance products. The only time that SPS allowed me to make installment payments, they notified me later in the month of the month that they would accept payment, then prevented me from making a 3rd payment. SPS has drawn out this process ssing the guise of missing " Required Information '' SPS has systemically prevented me from making more than 2 consecutive payments for the past ( nearly ) 2 years to prevent me from refinancing or using any other exit strategies. Effectively preventing me from capitalizing on historically low interest rates as well as covid-era governmental mortgage assistance programs. In holding me XXXX they have effectively damaged my financial position by keeping me locked into what has evolved into what closely resembles an interest only loan while swindling a great deal of the equity out of my homestead. My mother 's mortgage is also serviced by this company and I've learned that she owes more money on her mortgage than she initially borrowed 24 years later. Leading me to believe there exists countless of other borrowers in the same position, with the same grievance against SPS. Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to get loan modification assistance with SPS for the last few years but SPS has denied my request within a few days without a fully proper review. I last submitted to SPS on XX/XX/2022 and was denied on XX/XX/2022. I received the denial letter including the NPV results in the documents which I have attached it states My income was not considered for the evaluation of my request it also stated, in performing their underwriting of a potential modification my modified payment would not be reduced and did not meet the payment reduction as required. However in further review of the documents it stated my new potential rate would be 5 % @ {$280000.00} which would give me a payment of {$1300.00} increasing my payment by {$320.00} which is SPS looked at my financial and used them during the evaluation they would see I have a disposable income of {$840.00} which even if my payment went up I can still afford it. I am simply asking SPS and its investors to help me in any which way even if my payment goes up I have no problem making these payments. Also I ask if SPS can review my information to help me further qualify if an increased payment will not work, please consider me for a Balance Partial claim or Principal forbearance to make my payments more affordable

Consumer Complaint: My servicer Select Portfolio Servicing is refusing to allow me to view the original note on my property in a timely manner. They offered me a trial modification that began XX/XX/XXXX and I am to make a payment on XX/XX/XXXX ( which I did ) and XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX at which time I am to be given a permanent mod to sign. I have requested to be given the opportunity to visually inspect my original note to SPS loss mitigation division and to the SPS Ombudsman Division that I was told handled those request. Request was Made XX/XX/XXXX on the phone and by email. On the phone I was first told by XXXX in the Ombudsman division that they didn't have my original note and they'd have to make a " custodian '' request to have it found and brought to their office. I was told they should have it in a week. I called a week later and spoke to another employee, XXXX, in the Ombudsman division and I was then told it would take possibly more then 2 months for them to get the original note in their possession. I was verbally told by XXXX that they do not need to provide me the original note showing their investor owns the note in order to have me sign a modification or to proceed with foreclosure. I requested in writing that the trial modification be placed on a temporary hold until SPS can locate my original note and give me access to view it and confirm who owns my note. I do not believe a homeowner should be forced to make payments for a trial mod and sign a permanent mod to a servicer that refuses to provide access to the original note showing ownership of the note. I do not feel an undisclosed time of 2 months or more is considered " timely '' access. The servicer should have access to my original note and should be giving me access to visually inspect it.
