Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Problem making or receiving payments
Consumer Complaint: I have come across numerous instances where my venders have not received my payment though it is paid out of my account. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a message from Regions that a payment I sent in XXXX of XXXX had not been cashed and it was refunded. It doesnt seem legal that you are debiting my account for a payment that has not cleared. It creates confusion when my venders question why I havent paid them and your records imply that I have. It also does not seem legal that you charge me for an overdraft on a check that has not cleared. You are using my funds and charging me fees for payments that have not cleared. I opened my personal account in XXXX and my business account in XXXX at XXXX XXXX, where I was employed, which through multiple merges is now Regions Bank. I have been an extremely loyal customer for over 40 years but in the past several years, I have asked myself why on multiple occasions. It is not your problem, but business is difficult enough in this economy and you are a liability.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX / XXXX XXXX XXXX. went bankrupt XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). They are unresponsive for the following problems : Scammed us into purchasing a Solar System worth XXXX the market value through a loan with an out-of-state bank. They took almost XXXX months to start the project after payment to loan company. Left us with a solar system that has not been finished installed properly and does not work as promised. Solar Panels have damaged the roof. Salesman told us it would cover our entire electricity needs and even make a profit from the by reselling extra electricity back to the electric company. Lie. We still ended up with a very high year-end settlement bill from XXXX XXXX XXXX . They installed the panels in an area that is shaded so half of the panels do not generate much electricity. To compound the problem, XXXX XXXX XXXX changed their rate structure ( XXXX XXXX ) where it does not make much financial sense to own Solar Panels anymore. They buy the electricity at a cheap rate and resell it to us at triple the rate in the afternoon and evening. This was not the case before with XXXX XXXX We are now left with a {$46000.00} loan for XXXX years for something that does not work as advertised. The system is probably only worth {$20000.00}. Also, the salesman promised that we would get high tax credit refunds from the federal government which, according to the accountant, never qualified for or received. Also, for this system to work correctly the Solar Company needed to include a Backup Battery with the Solar Panels to store the excess energy needs instead of selling it back to XXXX XXXX XXXX Complaint has been filed with XXXX. Many other customers from XXXX XXXX have experienced similar issues.

Issue: Charged fees or interest you didn't expect
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: I have been paying this account since XXXX. Every month I log in and review the payment and check the balance and interest paid amounts. There has been no update on the account and after I called them the payoff amount they provided was {$400.00} more than what is displayed on the site. I downloaded the statements and none of them show a growing balance, or how the interest is getting paid towards the loan. It's as if my payments that are coming out of my checking account are going nowhere. I've reached out to them to explain this to me, but they only want to talk over the phone even after I've repeatedly asked for a breakdown of the monthly payment so I can see the interest and principal breakdown- you know, like every other loan/credit card company I have ever worked with, but this has been futile with this company.

Consumer Complaint: We secured a loan from XXXX XXXX for the purpose of renovating our pool, having been approved for a loan amount of {$75000.00}. Subsequently, we initiated the remodeling project. Unfortunately, our experience with the pool company engaged for the work proved to be highly unsatisfactory, leading to ongoing litigation due to their subpar craftsmanship and failure to fulfill their contractual obligations. Despite consistently making payments for a {$75000.00} loan to XXXX XXXX over the past 12 months, it has come to our attention that only approximately {$18000.00} has been disbursed for the renovation project. This disparity raises concerns, particularly as our payments have consistently reflected the full loan amount. Upon seeking the release of the remaining funds, which our credit line has been approved for and shows up under our credit report, we encountered an unexpected obstacle. XXXX XXXX insisted on obtaining permission from the pool company involved in the ongoing lawsuit before releasing the remaining funds. This stance appears both unreasonable and ethically questionable, given that the loan is in our name and the adverse circumstances with the pool company. We request a prompt and fair resolution to this matter, as the current situation is causing undue financial strain and hindering the completion of the renovation project as initially intended. Your attention to this issue is appreciated.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX, I received several pieces of correspondence from Regions Bank. The letters were to let me know that certain checks for an account in my name were being returned for NSF. I do not, nor have I ever had an account with Regions bank. I went to the local branch ( XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX ) and was assisted by a manager on duty. I was advised that the account was in my name but had a different driver 's license number. I am unclear if it had my SSN. Several phone calls with this manager over the next few weeks, I was assured that their investigation was complete and the accounts would be closed in my name. I received a new correspondence from Regions bank dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that another checking account issue had been discovered on my account. I have filed another identity theft complaint.
