Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/2020 I tried to establish an account online with PNC bank. After getting through most of the procedure, I was thrown out of the process and given information to contact XXXX XXXX. I did that, but could not understand how the information I received prevented me from establishing the account!!!!! I still don't.
On XX/XX/2020, I called PNC directly. I guided through the process quite professionally by a representative. But, again, was told that it could not be completed because of some reason. The rep could said she did not have the information, but that I would receive a letter in the mail detailing the reasoning. I am awaiting this letter know.
There are basically two complaints I have the process used to establish the account.
Online : I'm over XXXX. Some of the questions asked are so far in the past, it would be amazing for me to remember the phone number, address, or whatever. Some things do shade a little light. But one on the questions about an old address, was totally wrong. None of them were my old address.
In general this process allows for picking-and-choosing who you want as a customer. Last week I established 2 new accounts with 2 different banks. The process wasn't exactly smooth, but it worked.
I do comparisons on almost everything and PNCs virtual wallet was an excellent choice for me. But, to not be able to tell me, immediately, why I'm rejected is suspect.
