Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you. "

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Can't close your account
Consumer Complaint: I submitted complaint XXXX and it was closed and nested under other complaints about PNC. That complaint was about a separate issue. PNC is refusing to cash out my account as is my right. Just because I won't close my account doesn't mean they can keep me from withdrawal to full amount. I still have not heard from PNC about this other than they are waiting for the local branch manager to get back to them, who has also not contact me. I still expect to take out all my money and impatiently awaiting their response. It seems PNC doesn't have the money or cash to give me ..... The original complaint said : I am attempting to close my account with PNC. They are refusing to close my account and refusing to allow me to take my money out to the account. Most recently they told me I had to wait a week and speak with our loss prevention team and refused to place a cash order. I requested I want to cash out my account in US dollars NOT cashiers checks. The bank is refusing and hung up on me. The branch manager is not responding and the corporate officials have been unable to respond or find a solution.

Consumer Complaint: I have been attempting to get resolution for CFPB complaint XXXX. The company continues to dodge me calls. They will put me on hold and then leave the building. They will tell me they will call me back and then do not. The company has 15 days to respond to a CFPB complaint, for XXXX it has been well over that, almost 30 days. PNC still has not responded, nor will they field my phone calls. PNC falsely advertised to me and my joint account holder and they are attempting to cover it up, hoping I will drop it. It also seems they are lying to the CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: Stay away from PNC Bank! They will freeze your accounts in the name of " investigating '' and never provide you a reason in writing or on the phone. After keeping my accounts frozen for about 40 days and not providing me any reason as to why they took this step I had to threaten that I was going to take my case to GA Attorney General and Federal Reserve Board. On the XXXX or XXXX day the local branch quietly called and advised me that they had decided to close all my accounts and remit my funds via cashier 's check. No reason was given for the harassment and mental anguish that was caused due to this unreasonable act - every time I called or visited the branch I was told that a letter was being sent to me explaining why this action is being taken but to date, there is no letter from the bank or proof of any wrongdoing on my part. I can not describe the economic challenges I had to face with my accounts frozen- had to live off family members and borrow money - no regrets or no explanation from the bank to date. Please stay away from this bank and save yourself a bunch of trouble - their customer service is also non-existent- they do not return calls.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I called PNC to inform them that the account they have reporting to my credit report was opened fraudulently. I spoke with someone named XXXX and she gave me an address to send my police report and FTC affidavit. I did so the next day but haven't heard back. Consumer Complaint: I took out an auto loan that was originally with XXXX compass 7 years ago. This was an auto-draft directly from my bank account the entire loan. My loan was then taken over by PNC Bank as the company took over XXXX. On the final loan payment PNC Bank decided to remove my auto-draft and did not contact me regarding this at all. They then reported my last loan payment as a missed payment on my credit report. I called their support and after it took them awhile to research, they told me the auto draft was stopped by PNC Bank because the last payment must be paid manually. They never tried informing me of this matter once. I paid it immediately over the phone on XXXX XXXX 2022, the same day I got notification on my credit report. I have never missed any payments on any line of credit in my life and this caused my credit score to drop from the 800 's to the 720 's. I am extremely unhappy with their service and makes no sense why they would believe that I would just not pay my last payment on the loan with 7 years of payment history.

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I applied and received a HELOC loan from PNC Mortgage. In XXXX I was forced to file XXXX XXXX XXXX due to the loss of my company after the market crash in XXXX. This 2nd lien was included in that Bankruptcy filing. It was my understanding that PNC could no longer collect on the loan and PNC did not contact me post-bankruptcy by mail or phone since the bankruptcy until now. I did maintain my first mortgage and continued to make payments post-bankruptcy. I was even able to modify the mortgage in XXXX without knowing the lien from PNC still existed on my home. Which as I understand now means that they approved my mortgage company to maintain 1st lien position ahead of them on the title. Still I did not hear from them. Now I am trying to sell my home for what I believe to be the only debt and their lien surfaced at my closing as needing to be paid in full. The balance of the lien is the entire amount of equity I have in my property which I was relying on to move. I am now at risk of having now money if I pay them off or being sued by the purchaser of my home if the sale does not go through. If I pay them, I will be homeless as I cant afford another home without the sale proceeds. While I understand that under the XXXX filing they were not required to release their lien, I have consulted with other industry mortgage servicers and understand in XXXX the CFPB required servicers to send monthly statements to borrowers in this exact situation so they were NOT surprised like I was with a debt that I thought was gone. If they had done that and followed the regulatory requirements, I would not be faced with homelessness at this time. I would have been able to make other financial decisions. How can they not follow servicing rules and require me to pay them all this money that I didnt know I owed from over 12 years ago? It did not appear on my credit, I received no mail or calls. Ive suffered great emotional and actual financial harm in the last few weeks while they have not resolved this situation or relented on the funds due. Is this happening to other borrowers too? Only now, since Ive attempted to get this cleared are they sending me mail about loss mitigation assistance options. Also, as of today XX/XX/XXXX I was told by the attorney that the buyers want me out by XX/XX/XXXX so they can take ownership. I am in need of an answer quickly and don't know what to do. Thank you so much for your time. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX XXXX
