Consumer Complaint: Paypal permanently limited my account and never told me why. They said I violated the user agreement, but nothing I did could ever be construed as violating anything in their agreement. At no point have they told me what I did, or why my account was restricted. All I want to do is close my account, but they tell me that I have to wait six months before I can get my money. This should be illegal. I have had no opportunity to dispute what I was accused of because they never told me what I did. How can a company legally steal my money for six months without telling my why. I did nothing wrong and paypal stole my money. They owe me {$620.00} dollars that I deposited and they refuse to give me my money for no reason whatsoever. That is called stealing.

Consumer Complaint: This account has had an open dispute that's been under review since XXXX XXXX XXXX The case is still open. The original dispute was canceled by the customer who contacted both Paypal and his banking institution to let them know he disputed the amount in error. The banking institution sent the money that was disputed back to Paypal and Paypal has yet to put that money back into my account. Both me and the customer have contacted Paypal multiple times about this and they refuse to respond. We have also sent copies of the emails that were sent to and from the buyers banking institution proving that the bank did in fact cancel the dispute and sent the money back to Paypal. Paypal has yet to respond or fix the issue. Again, this dispute is still " under review '' with payal, therefore never should have been sent to collections in the first place.

Consumer Complaint: My account has been permanently limited. The customer service gave me the reason it is limited and it is a mistake, not on my part, and they will not correct it. I collected {$30.00} from XXXX people to purchase a dinner gift card for a coworker who broke his arms. Two of the people checked that the funds were for goods and services, they were supposed to check it was for a friend. They checked goods and services since I was going to buy the gift card. You can see in the attached the two people who selected goods and services incurred a small charge and the one that did not was not charged. PayPal thought I was conducting business and trying to get away with not paying business markups. Customer service will not let me talk to the people doing the review when it was done wrong, they will not let me put in a written request for a review they are just telling me I can never use Paypal again. The PayPal account is under XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I closed two of my PayPal accounts last year. I closed the first account, which was a normal PayPal balance account, in XXXX XXXX XXXX I closed the second account, which was a PayPal business account, in XXXX of XXXX. I expected to be able to either access my final statement online through the PayPal website, or to be sent a paper statement through the mail. After I had closed my accounts, I could no longer access the website, which was fine. However, I never received a final mailed statement for either of these accounts. I attempted to contact PayPal on XX/XX/XXXX to see if I could have them either mail or email my final statements for these accounts. The representative XXXX XXXX XXXX from PayPal stated that I could no longer access these statements as my accounts had been closed. XXXX also stated that no one at PayPal could access my past statements as when I closed my account it was " good as deleted in our system. '' I am unsure why PayPal as being told this, as generally financial institutions are supposed to keep records for 5-7 years for tax purposes? I could be mistaken but it seems odd that PayPal would wipe someone's financial history because they've closed their account. I would like my last statements from these two accounts as there was no way for me to access them prior to my account closing, as PayPal doesn't generate statements until the following month.
