And I think PayPal needs to be investigated and I think the department of Labor needs to be contacted I just wanted to update I have created a support group online and I have tons and tons of people saying the same thing has happened that has happened to my account with PayPal as soon as I received my pua deposit for all my back pay which is {$6000.00} they have just all of a sudden and i did nothing wrong absolutely nothing wrong, they just come up with all these different excuses which they won't exactly tell me because I didn't do anything wrong just like they're telling all these other people they're just saying they can not do business with us anymore we can not use paypal and they're holding our money for 180 days I have so many cases that it's unbelievable and investigation needs to be done on PayPal

Consumer Complaint: Hi my name is XXXX XXXX. I'm not sure what to do at this point as I've tried resolving this issue for over 6 months. I signed up for venmo and transferred {$1000.00} ..the first couple transfers I did went threw without a problem. I tried linking my friends debit card to my account because I lost mine and he was also a venmo user but when I did that they froze my account. I was told I needed to send them copies of my id, copies of my bank statements and even copies of all the people 's id 's and bank statements of every person I had either sent and received money from and there id 's as well. .i told them I wouldn't be able to do that and I sent the docks I could. They said that wasn't good enough and my funds would be frozen for 180 days ... i told tgem to close my account in the hopes they would then send my money back but that didn't work ... i received a " final statement '' and contacted the executive of esculatione ... he informed me my money would finally be released on XX/XX/XXXX ... .i tried contacting him about 7 more times and also sent about 30 emails to different departments asking how to get my money since I was unable to get into my account since it was closed ... .now there basically telling me that my case has been translated to a specialist and I would have to wait ... .i need my money ... I lost my last appartment already because of this and I don't want to lose another one ... .plesse help me I don't know what else to do! Consumer Complaint: PayPal closed my account on ( XXXX ) for no reason and will not help me with getting it back up and going. I am not sure if this is some mistake as I assume it has to be. Paypal also informed me, that i would receive any pending balance on my account after 180 days. Its been now over 220 days since my account has been placed on hold, i tried to contact Paypal and resolve this and the only [ RUDE ] answer that am getting is, that i have to wait until i get the email informing me that its ready, even if its been more than 180 days. I have not been able to get help from them for months but I just remembered I could file a report on here as I feel they are not doing their job properly and it is effecting me because i rely on this money. I've been waiting for the 180 days because i really need my money. And i feel that its very unfair that ( PAYPAL ) does this to their clients. My email linked to my PayPal is XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Venmo has been illegally holding {$800.00} of my money first they froze my account after I received the money and told me that they need to identify who I was in order to release the money on the account I provide them with my driver 's license. Then they stated that oh well in order to unfreeze your account the card that you have attached send us the card statement to the credit card or debit card that you have on venmo. My bank does not have card statement. My bank does have account statement I provided them with that. After that they still refuse! I need my money.

Consumer Complaint: PayPal has held my funds again. They are holding my funds and not telling me what the reason is. We had an issue weeks back and now again, theyre holding my funds against my will. They are saying that my traveling has flagged my account and never told me that this would happen. I called and they said that they had to clear some errors. They cleared the errors and they said to try the attempt again. I did, and it didnt work. This then extended the time that i can try again to 48 hours. I have done nothing wrong other than travel which i told them. My funds are held and Im now stranded across the country without access to my funds. They keep pushing back the date in which i can access my funds, but theyre the reason it is extended further because they told me to attempt the transfer. Im just trying to make it home, and me and my XXXX kids are without access to our hard earned funds. AGAIN after they pulled this similar activity in XXXX. I knew i should have stopped using the service as their arbitrary rules are not designed for us to take advantage of. This is an intentional abuse of power. They released a transfer already, and now all of a sudden Im flagged because Im traveling. They didnt call me or email me to notify of an issue with my account. They say that due to me continuing to try and access my money, it locked my account and they have no way to assist. Although they told me to try to withdrawal while they were on the phone. I spoke with so many people and their suggestions have now rendered me helpless when it comes to the accessing of my funds. I never was notified because they didnt notify me. To say the activity is due to suspicious activity, but not once notify me is wrong on so many levels. What if someone really was trying to access my account? Now theyre saying they wont tell me when that happens? I find that hard to believe because the times in which there has been suspicious activity, i was notified. Now that i need my funds again, they wont notify not allow me to use my funds that were made via legal activity and business. With so much fraud happening, youd think theyd assist better with that, as opposed to ruining the businesses of hard working Americans DURING COVID!

On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email that my account was permanently limited and that I will no longer be able to use PayPal. Consumer Complaint: Venmo user over here : I got scammed by a lady tried to sell me a fake watch, I felt for the deceiving pictures and send her the money within 10 minutes I found something fishy and I told the lady I wanted a refund, in that time spam the lady pull the money out of the account instantly and she refused the refund. Got scammed, I paid with XXXX XXXX and obviously they refund me. Now, Venmo refuses to acknowledge the situation and says to file for a police report when they authorized the scammer to pull the money right away. I am afraid to being send to collections due to their inability of pursuing scammers.
