Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I sold an item through my paypal account in the amount of {$1700.00}. I sent the item to the buyer and it was recieved. Paypal would not release my funds and said they were holding them for 180 days for a correction. I tried to contact them on several occasions for an explanation, but was not given one. I was told I have to wait the 180 days. On XXXX XXXX I received notice from paypal they took {$1100.00} for the correction and gave me {$690.00}. I tried to reach out again for an explanation with no response. After doing my research I have found multiple articles about paypal stealing money from people illegally.

Consumer Complaint: I appreciate your help, earlier. VENMO finally reached out to me and gave a limp explanation that they were concerned that I wanted to put my money back in my bank account. They claimed to not have been able to view the scans of my drivers license... but were unable to explain why they never contacted me to explain the problem. However, by forcing me to loan them my money for two months, I was forced to borrow money from my ex to pay for our daughters school supplies, and she demanded I pay her back an extra {$20.00}. It was absolutely humiliating... but it was not due to any mistake of mine. I did nothing outside their terms of service, the bank account I used is mine, is the same account I have always taken money out of, and returned money too, any number of times. Moreover, I notified them if their mistake as soon as possible. Finally, nobody made any complaint about anything being wrong I know this, because Im the only person with access to that account. Im glad that theyve agreed to let me have access to my money, but that doesnt make me whole. Please help me be made whole.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I submitted an online order to purchase liquor through the web site " XXXX XXXX' ( the web site is no longer active or viewable ). I paid {$260.00} through Venmo for the order. The product was never shipped and communication with the vendor went mostly unanswered although on one occasion a representative said the order was " delayed. '' It became clear that the " seller '' was fraudulent when nothing was shipped and all communication from the seller ceased. I contacted Venmo to file a dispute and request a refund, but Venmo denied this request on XX/XX/XXXX. Although Venmo sent my funds as I directed, I believe Venmo knew, or had reason to know, this merchant was fraudulent. I was able to find several complaints online of others who were scammed by the seller in the weeks prior to my purchase. I also made complaints to the international internet registrar organization on XXXX XXXX to " openprovider.eu '' which, based on my complaint and others, parked or shut down the web site within hours. Venmo should have taken reasonable action to prevent the seller from using Venmo, or at least temporarily suspend the seller 's account, but seemingly did not.

It got unlocked and then later that night it locked again and said 7-10 business day this time. I waited. And now it says my account is SUSPENDED. All my money is on there XXXX that was my rent, car payment etc I am now facing eviction due to this mishaps for no reason when then is my money! I didnt do anything wrong I didnt violate any rules.

Consumer Complaint: PAYPAL Reference Nos. : XXXX, XXXX, XXXX Reference is made to the above issues that have been discussed and escalated with Customer Service over the past month . Deposits were made from my PayPal account to XXXX that were deposited to another account in error. The transfers from PayPal were sent to the wrong XXXX account in error. The transfers were for the sums of {$1000.00} ( Trace ID # XXXX ) and {$350.00} ( Trace ID # XXXX ) The proper XXXX account was XXXX and the funds went to account # XXXX. XXXX has confirmed that the funds in fact went into the wrong account and they are willing to correct the problem. Their advice is that the proper procedure is for the sender, PayPal, to request the return of funds from XXXX ( now XXXX XXXX ) and submit a Letter of Indemnity in the form that I have given to PayPal. I have contacted PayPal no less than a dozen times and they simply fail and refuse to request the return of funds from XXXX.

To canceled your invoice ''. I looked up PayPal phone # and call an illegitimate one by mistake. Gave info that was used to Create the fraud I'm reporting. I have another number I called also, speaking with a " XXXX '' for " PayPal '', who was the fraudster. As soon as I realized I was scammed I contract both PayPal correctly and XXXX XXXX to alert them and trying to disputed the pending transactions. They said there was nothing to be done until the transactions posted as they were still pending went through which happened sometime on XX/XX/22 or XX/XX/22. I call back to both PayPal and XXXX XXXX who told me there was nothing I could do because the transactions went through.

Consumer Complaint: I have tirelessly fought with this company trying to get my money returned to which I get ignored or told they have no updates for me at this time. It has been 2 years now and I can't seem to get any help or resolution. My account was charged three times {$730.00} for XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX tickets for XX/XX/2022 all 3 times including the insurance in case something happened. So 1st of all I didn't need 3 purchases of same tickets, 2nd of all I bought insurance because it's my luck so always make sure, 3rd I kept in contact with the place the comedy show was happening at and I had broke down on the way to event and was told I would get a credit with XXXX XXXX to use for XXXX XXXX or any other event totaling the same amount unless of course I wanted to pay any difference and that I would be fully refunded for the other 2 transactions buying same tickets 2 more times told there was a glitch in system probably. Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX, money was sent to me via paypal. PayPal sent notification to accept the funds but showed it as a goods and services transaction instead of a personal one. PayPal asked me for a taxid to release the funds. I did not accept the transaction because of the wrong categorization and asked the sender to cancel the transaction. PayPal sent an email for me to approve a refund but instead of giving the sender back their money, PayPal took money out of my bank account to issue a refund. I called them a couple of times and sent messages via their website to correct this to no avail. I filed a dispute with my bank to get the unauthorized money they took out of my account and the bank refunded it. PayPal is still holding onto the sender 's money, refusing to cancel it without getting my social security number or taxid. This seems strange to me. What do they want my social security number for? I've asked them several times to cancel the transaction, I do not want the money. First I was told that the sender selected goods and services, which I disputed. Then I was told it's because I gave a QR code for them to identify my user info. This is not a business account. It is a personal account and I did not select the business account option. The bottom line is this should have been a personal transaction so in light of that I have been asking for a cancellation. They will not return the sender 's money even though they acknowledge that it was not intended to be a business transaction. They still refuse to rectify the situation without getting my social security number. First I was told this has to do with regulatory requirements. I disputed this claim because the IRS 's website contains info stating the requirement enforcement has been pushed to XXXX. Now, I was told it is to satisfy PayPal 's requirements because it is a large amount. It is still unclear why my social security number is warranted to cancel a transaction. I do not wish to accept the payment, I just want the transaction cancelled and the money returned to the owner. I am not selling goods or services to the sender and should not be strong-held to purport that I am. There are reports of PayPal trying to aggregate user 's social security number for a business venture they have going or will have going with another company. I do not know if this is true or not but hope to get to the bottom of this since PayPal is being wishy-washy in their responses.
