Consumer Complaint: Ive used PayPal since XX/XX/XXXX. I received an email from PayPal on XX/XX/XXXX saying my account has been permanently limited and funds are frozen for 180 days. They accused me of gambling, fantasy sports playing, lottery contest and a few other things. But all of my transactions have been with personal friends who have either loaned me money or Ive loaned them monies using PayPal. I also pay many bills and use my PayPal account often in my daily life so this is very disruptive. Ive received a lot of financial help from friends using PayPal, especially since COVID-19. Im not aware of any policy that forbids friends from helping each other out. I dont use PayPal for any of the activities theyve accused me of. When I spoke to the customer service representative on the phone today XX/XX/XXXX he said and I quote you know what youve done I immediately asked for his supervisor which he responded by saying hes the highest level at the company Im able to speak with. Then when I asked for a email address so I can write directly to management he declined and would not give me one. saying theres no email option for this situation and hung up the phone

They just say we are shutting your account down. I am not sure if this is some mistake as I assume it has to be I have followed all rules and regulations. I have been using Paypal for years with no issues and now I have not been able to get help from them. I just remembered I could file a report on here as I feel they are not doing their job properly and it is effecting me a great deal as I used PayPal quite frequently. The large to me amount of money in my account is used for me to live on a daily bases and this is crippling me and my family 's well being. Consumer Complaint: I arranged to buy tickets for a comedy show from someone on XXXX. He said he was going to transfer the tickets to my name ( to arrive via email ) and showed me a screenshot of a seemingly valid ticket confirmation. I payed him {$250.00} via Venmo, as agreed, and never received the tickets. He then blocked me on XXXX and is not responding to my calls requesting a refund. I contacted Venmo 's customer service and was told they could not help me recoup my money. They suggested filing a police report, which seems like a completely unrealistic, dead-end non-solution. The phone number the scammer gave me is XXXX. The Venmo account I sent payment to is : @ XXXX. Name : XXXX XXXX. Transaction ID : XXXX His XXXX handle is : XXXX XXXX XXXX ( @ XXXX ). He has blocked me on twitter so I can no longer message him. I have attached some screenshots below. I also contacted my personal bank, XXXX, to stop the payment. But it has not showed up in my list of transactions yet, and the XXXX representative said the bank can not contact Venmo to stop the payment.
