Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam I live in XXXX NJ . Some fraudster in Michigan ordered a shoe from XXXX through paypal just using my email address and shipping the shoe to some abandoned home in Michigan. The order emptied my paypal balance of {$230.00} and further took {$180.00} from my XXXX checking account. I immediately disconnected my bank account from my paypal account. I filed a dispute to both Paypal and XXXX. XXXX refunded {$180.00} and closed the case. All paypal needs to do is pay back {$230.00}. When I login to my paypal account it shows that I owe {$410.00} to paypal. They placed it in collections and threatened to report it to the credit bureau unless I pay it back. I have a perfect credit score and don't want that to be affected. I spoke to four agents at Paypal, they are asking me to pay back {$410.00} to them first. Anyway, after escalation, we found that Paypal refunded {$410.00} to my bank account ( even though I delinked the bank account due to the fraud incident. ) and says that I owe them {$410.00}.

Consumer Complaint: Paypal refuses to refund my {$78.00} from a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is a fraudulent company and PayPal is very well aware of this. This shows PayPal and this company are working together scamming people. Ordered XXXX XXXX hair wigs and when I received my ordered, the items were nothing I ordered. Filed a complaint with PayPal mentioning the company need to send me a prepaid shipping label, to return the items. The company do not want to send the prepaid shipping label only solution they provided is partial payment, that is not a option. XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX not wanting to send a prepaid shipping label is very suspicious. Founded out I'm not the only one that had the same problem with PayPal and this company.

Consumer Complaint: On or around XX/XX/2021, Paypal descided out of no where to freeze my account ( XXXX ) and not allow me to use it, because I had a fraudulant transaction that was not even with paypal it was with my primary bank, but my debit card from my bank was linked to my paypal business account.. With then freezing my account I have not had access to the {$310.00} dollars that was in my account when they froze it. I was informed that I would be able to obtain my money 180 days from the date it was froze, after multiple attempts to contact paypal customer service and attempts to obtain my money myself threw the online portal I have been unsuccessfull.

Consumer Complaint: I recently received an e-mail notice informing me that my PayPal account was permanently limited and that I could no longer do business with their service. As per the e-mail, It informed me that I violated something outlined in their Terms of Service ( doesn't mention specifically what it was ) though at no point did I do anything to violate these terms. While reviewing my most recent activity on the account, the latest transaction on the account was payment I sent for an item ( shoes ) from an online seller ( $ XXXXUSD on XX/XX/XXXX ) and a payment I received from XXXX ( a cashback browser extension ) for $ XXXXUSD on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX is an American Company dedicated to fitness and exercise. Paypal will not release the payment to me. Consumer Complaint: PayPal emailed me there was an unrecognized login from an XXXX I have never had out of Texas. I live in IL. Before verifying it was me, they allowed 3 overseas payments to be sent. When I got the email, I changed my password, tried disputing the charges and they would not allow it because it was sent as friends and family. I tried again and they determined in that dispute that no unauthorized activity had occurred. They will not refund my money. Ive cancelled my debit card, removed the old debit card, changed passwords twice. PayPal is supposed to be SAFE and instead they are anything but and refuse to uphold their secure promise.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with paypal months ago and have made purchases with it, with no problem. Today, however, I sold an expensive plan locally. The person asked to pay with paypal and I allowed them to do so. They paid, then got in their car and drove away. Paypal decided to place a hold on the {$600.00} until I ship. But there is nothing to ship, they paid locally. I messaged the person and asked that they go onto paypal and marked the transaction as received but they just blocked me. So now they have my plant and the money. Then on top of that, paypal is now saying there is some issue with my account so it's frozen and I can't withdraw money. I've NEVER had another paypal account. I have had serious cases of identity theft, which has been reported. This is my first ever paypal account and now {$600.00} that I needed to pay for my dogs XXXX, to save his life, is not going to be given to me. Paypal is literally killing my dog.
