Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 purchased {$1000.00} in goods from XXXX XXXX, using PayPal. XXXX refunded {$410.00} XX/XX/XXXX and {$280.00} XX/XX/XXXX. The remaining funds of {$380.00} were supposed to be credited to PayPal within 4-6 weeks. In has been 8 weeks. I have an mail from XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX stating that my missing refund of {$380.00} has been processed. I spoke with XXXX and PayPal XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX stated that the refund has be sent in XXXX parts : {$370.00} and {$9.00}. XXXX gave me transaction identification numbers for these transfers : XXXX and XXXX. PayPal was opening a case to find the missing money. PayPal sent me a note stating a refund was was received for {$410.00}. This is not the disputed amount. It seems that PayPal and XXXX are treating me like a ping pong ball with neither one taking responsibility for the missing {$380.00} due me. They hope that I will get frustrated and disappear, but this is nearly {$400.00} dollars of my hard earned money. These companies, especially PayPal, have been giving be the runaround for XXXX months. Please, Please, help me.

Consumer Complaint: hello, dates : XX/XX/XXXX XXXX, 2022 company : PayPal Holdings , Inc. website : paypal.com hello, i have problem with my paypal account. they ban permanent my account without confirm or notification. at XXXX XXXX, they need to input some information from me like goverment card, bank, etc. but i didnt get reason or anything after that. after some days, i checked my account and i got ban permanently. i think i didnt do violation of TOS or anything. i just use my paypal to received money from XXXX and XXXX. my paypal account age was almost 10 years. thanks

Consumer Complaint: I tried to withdrawal money out of my Venmo account to use for rent about 4-5 days before it was due and I saw both instant/non-instant transfer options were giving me an error message. Weird, because I've had the same bank account attached to my Venmo for the entirety of the 3 years I've had the account. I got an email from Venmo the next day saying " your account has been frozen '' and they asked me to re-verify my ID. I've been a Venmo user for 3 years and I've never been asked to re-verify my ID before. I've never even had a negative account balance once. I'm a great customer. I did what they asked then I received an email about a week later saying my account is XXXX permanently, I can't withdraw my account balance for 180 days, and THEY WON'T TELL ME WHY. I have over a grand stored in my Venmo account balance that they won't let me touch. My rent money. Guess who was late on rent because of that? Me. Guess who had to pay late fees? Me. It's been over a month now and my money is just sitting in my account still. This is utterly insane. How is it legal for them to hold my money against my will? The platform wouldn't let me withdraw. Then they look into my account and disable it without telling me why. And my funds are just stuck in there? Why? I will not stop until I have rightful access to MY funds. Also making sure all Venmo users knows their money isn't safe in either of your platforms. You'll be hearing A LOT more from me. Venmo solely and with XXXX knows what motive created financial problems that greatly affected my life for multiple weeks straight by holding my money captive in their platform. There are thousands of other people that are in the same situation as me : check posts on their reddit page ( that's literally all that's on it, just people talking about how their accounts are frozen and they also can't access their funds for 180 days ). It's even been covered by several news stations and Venmo declined to comment on the issue. XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, I have been using paypal for my business transaction. My email : XXXX On the XXXX of XX/XX/2022. I had a payment made by an Artist who emailed me for playlist placement on my playlist. He paid a sum of XXXX $ via echeck ( according to paypal ) and the money showed pending in my paypal. ( eCheck details Amount : {$40.00} USD Transaction XXXX Note : Playlist placement, Payment details, Buyer : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : Playlist placement ) I messaged paypal to ask why the money was not yet in my account, and in a few hours my account was limited and I was asked to submit documents I have submitted before, I tried to comply but I was locked out of my paypal account, I couldnt access paypal via the web. I could use just the app and in the app it was impossible to send pdf. I contacted paypal again asking how I would be able to send the pdf file ( bank statement ) which proves my identity and address. In a few hours I recieved another email saying my account has been permanently limited ( banned ) from paypal. I tried messaging via the message centre but it was closed. I couldnt contact paypal. I have done nothing wrong by recieveing payment for spotify playlisting services. I have tried to message them via XXXX but there is no response. I was permanently banned on XX/XX/2022, XXXX XXXX. This is an unfair treatment because I hav n't done anything wrong. I have conducted buisness in a fair and legal way. Also paypal promotes buyers to scam me, because some artists after being playlisted and recieve streams, they claim they have not recieved streams and file complaints to get their money back after I have done the job. Since its a digital product, even if I send proof that this artists have recieved streams paypal always judge to the favour of the buyer leaving me at a loss. Please I want my account back.

Consumer Complaint: I received an email at XXXX p.m. ET on Monday, XX/XX/XXXX from Venmo informing me that my account was temporarily restricted. The body of the email did not provide any details, only that I may receive another email with details and that I should contact customer support if I have questions or want to reactivate the account. I have a balance of {$480.00} in my account. I tried transferring it to my bank account and I received an error message saying that I am unable to do that while my account has temporary restrictions applied against it. I then reached out to Venmo via their live chat app. The live chat representative told me that the issue would be investigated by another team and that it can be anywhere from 7 to 15 days for a reply. I have two complaints : 1 ) My Venmo account was suspended without warning and explanation. Within the app, the notification screen is empty there are no hints as to what happened. I am now unable to access my balance of {$480.00}. 2 ) The Venmo team is unable to provide any guidance on when my funds will be available. The chat said anywhere from 7 to 15 days. Again, I have no idea why my account was suspended and theres no appeal. Ive attached a PDF of the email and chat transcript for reference.

Consumer Complaint: i have had an account with Venmo for a while and I noticed my ex who has an extensive habitual gambling addiction, had yet again used my Venmo account to fund his online gambling accounts. This had been an issue previously and I reported it to the gambling site/s as well as Venmo, and my money was returned and things were settled quickly. However this time after returning the funds to me i was not able to delete nor add any new bank accounts or cards, I was however able to send {$50.00} to my mother who was able to give me cash. After that they said that I had violated some terms and that my account would be permanently closed and any funds could be held up to 180 days for liability purposes. Meanwhile the investigation was completed and the temporary credits where now permanent and was ruled in my favor, still they refuse to let me transfer my funds and stating I had to wait the full 180 days unless contacted by email and told otherwise. This is absurd considering this was a repeating occurrence, XXXX saw in my favor as well as Venmo, I was able to use some of the funds already, and I never violated any agreement! I am fine with my account closure, I just could really use the funds and would like them be released to me.

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to PayPal when I noticed money missing from my account. I spoke with them and filed a dispute via the website. One of the charges was refunded however the other two were denied. I reached out to PayPal and they told me that two were denied because they were familiar, however these were done hours form my home. I only ever use PayPal for XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX. I mean of course the pin was used I never received the card to set a pin. So a representative reached out and told me that they refunded one as a courtesy.. however I know that there are laws in place and refunding an unauthorized charge is not a courtesy its their obligation under consumer laws.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 Paypal said my purchases which were never fulfilled were protected under their policies and told me countless times over the phone and chats that I would get my money back and to be patient. They initially said 15 days of no response from the vendor XXXX XXXX would result in a ruling in my favor. I was very patient, but Paypal waited until XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX to notify me I was ineligible to receive purchase protection on my 24 unfulfilled orders for a total of {$19000.00} which were under 180 days old. They additionally said there would be a high likelihood of orders over 180 days that were unfulfilled to be refunded. 24 orders with a total of XXXX. This process was extensively misleading.
