Consumer Complaint: I opened a dispute on PayPal CASE ID XXXX XXXX reporting an unauthorized transaction. Exactly four hours later, I received the message that my claim was denied, and they did not discover any unauthorized transaction. This seems a very fast response, considering they said it would take up to 10 days to investigate. I phoned PayPal and a representative told me that my case was closed, but they would escalate it, and, if I wish, I could take the matter up with the local police. Within 30 minutes, I received an email that PayPal had again denied my claim, and they added that Based on our review, we found this transaction is consistent with your PayPal payment history. I use PayPal sparingly, never above {$100.00}, and only from my home computer. So, the transaction in question was certainly not consistent with my history.

I tried to get help from PayPal 's customer serviceteam but they said that they won't be able to help me regarding account restoration.I have been usingthe account for some time now and always work in good faith and follow all the policies and useragreements as stated and agreed upon while I signed up for the account. I have taken every step tominimize the risks associated with my account however PayPal still permanently limited my accountstating there's potential risk associated with it. I would request any information as to why PayPal feltthey had to limit the account. I have recently made a complaint that was responded to ; however the response said my funds would be released after 180 days ( 6 months ). This is too long of a wait to not have my funds, as I have to pay rent, child support, my phone bill, ect... I understand they have a policy, but this is just holding my funds for no reason other than to hold them. I've seen numerous reports online about " venmo '' sending XXXX automated responses to people an then holding their funds. It should not have to take 180 days to realize if funds were fraudulent or not, let alone to return them to a consumer who is verified on your platform. I NEED my money sooner than 180 days, I am going through financial hardship an I cant afford court.
