Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 I received a Money request for XXXX to my venmo account.The message read " At the store i left my wallet at home I'll send it back as soon as i get home " The profile showed My sisters name and photo it was listed as payment between friends. I sent the money thinking it was my sister need groceries. 30 minutes later My sister arrived to my house showing me a post on XXXX. The post showed this same message going around town. Fake profiles of family or loved ones asking for money thru Venmo. I called the bank right away to dispute they advised do to Venmos terms of use they could not assist me with returning the money. Photos will show the fraudster is listed as a friend of mine. They are not on my friends list of contacts this is a Venmo error and should hold them selfs and scammers accountable.

Consumer Complaint: on XX/XX/2023, i wen to a XXXX store and showed my paypal barcode to the cashier, handed her {$210.00} plus the {$3.00} fee ( in order to load the cash to my paypal balance, which i have done numerous times, and was given a receipt. The money was never added to my balance because paypal denied the load. I have not been told why the load was denied. I was given many different responses and excuses by paypal. XXXX says that once the transaction goes through and the receipt is printed, it is out of their hands. I am out the {$210.00}. I have read thousands of complaints online about this happening to other people. Imagine the billion each year collected through this method.

Despite this, I received the horrible shock of a You can no longer do business with PayPal email today. At the advice of counsel, Im sending you a polite message with details and information so that this policy mistake can be corrected and that my account can be restored to full functionality. I primarily use my PayPal for savings so I can earn a 4.15 % APY. In addition everything I do on PayPal is completely legitimate. To be honest, I have no idea what could have triggered this mistake. I reviewed it in close detail. I looked on r/PayPal and I am not the only person who has had this problem - many users have been wrongly suspended for no apparent policy violation, especially within the past several days. I worry that it will shake the publics faith in PayPal as a reliable service, especially if users take their complaints to the appropriate business oversight authorities. I plan to file complaints if my account is not restored within the expected 72-hour window. Please forward this on to the correct internal department that handles PayPal accounts.
