Consumer Complaint: Someone other than me hacked my Paypal account and used it to make a XXXX purchase from XXXX. I contacted XXXX and was refunded the money on my Paypal account. Now Paypal is stating that I owe them XXXX because I was creditted twice for the fraudulent purchase. I checked all my credit cards and bank statements and did not recieve another credit for XXXX. Paypal continues to harass me about a negative amount that I have to pay on my Paypal account. I was credited, yes but only once. They are claiming I was credited twice and won't stop harassing me about adding funds to my Paypal account to cover the negative balance.

PayPal withdrew an additional 5 payments of {$95.00}, This brings the total withdrawn amount to {$950.00}. The details are explained in case XXXX. As a follow up and additional information on this complaint I spoke with the merchant directly who contacted their accounting office and confirmed that they did not capture these 5 transactions and there was nothing they could do to assist by reversing anything.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I made a purchase on a reputable website and used PayPal as the payment service. I was given the option by PayPal to split the total amount between 4 payments with the first starting immediately. This worked great for me as it was a larger purchase and as I had the funds to pay it immediately it gave me the flexibility to pay over time. So I checked the box. It stated that the first payment was due immediately and the remaining 3 would be due on the XXXX of the following months. Once I clicked it stated it was approving my application. It processes for a while and finally stated a denial with a reason to be emailed to me. Then I was forwarded to a new page with a pay in 6 or pay in 9 option. I did not want to stretch out 9 months so I clicked pay in 6 and accepted it. It then stated the first payment was due XX/XX/2023. It then gave me a loan overview with an interest rate. I was not happy about this, but I did not have time to call PayPal that moment. On Sunday I saw the pay in 4 denial was in my email. So I looked and it stated that I was denied the loan due to insufficient funds in my bank account. I checked my bank and found PayPal had charged 5 payments in the amount of the pay in 4 which was more than the total amount of the original purchase. My complaint is that this product was never initially marketed as a loan. PayPal depleted my bank account to the point that the loan would be rejected due to insufficient funds in my bank account. All of this to get me into a loan with interest so they would profit additional money from me as the consumer in addition to the fees charged to the merchant. I believe this is unfair and deceptive practice. I am luck to be in a position that I had alternate funds available while I am working to resolve this.

We delivered the packages on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX, the XXXX tracking number is XXXX, XXXX. Due to the shipping problem, XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX company open a case on Paypal, we keep contacting with shipper and buyer. A month later, they got the packages finally on XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. But Paypal refund XXXX payment to that company XXXX XX/XX/XXXX. We usually use XXXX to contact XXXX, when he made the payment we noticed that the address provided on Paypal did not match the address of the invoice we had made, so we asked XXXX about it and he clearly stated that he was going to send it to the address of the invoice, and we also confirmed with him his PayPal account, so that one could not be a false message. Even though we provided favorable evidence, PayPal still refunded him. We contact Paypal Many times, we can't believe that Paypal would impose a penalty like this and the way they handled it was really poor, they hung up on us before we finished speaking, that's very disrespectful for us. Later, after our insistence, PayPal called and told us they would contact the buyer, XXXX XXXX, through their PayPal account. Eventually, XXXX XXXX also replied to their email message clearly on Paypal and said they had received the goods. In this case, PayPal has already obtained the buyer 's reply and confirmed that the buyer has received the goods, but they still remain indifferent and refuse to pay us, which is very wrong.
