Consumer Complaint: Paypal is derelict in their duty to protect consumers. I use their service for all regular spending and have been a customer in good standing -- i think since they started their business. In the past, they allowed customers to transfer funds via app with a page that required us to enter the amount being transferred. Recently, that page was changed to show the entire balance and ask if you want to send that amount. In order to change the amount, you have to touch the screen to type in different numbers. When I touched my screen, it transferred my entire balance immediately to my bank/credit union . I could not stop it. I contacted PayPal and reported it. The very kind service rep initiated a " clawback ''. The balance arrived in my institution on Monday and was IMMEDIATELY REVERSED TO PAYPAL, per instructions. As of today, this money has not been redeposited in my account. PayPal reps are reporting that it will take 10 days to get the money back in my account. WHY IS THAT? Are they accruing interest in overnight deposits from consumer funds that were placed with their business IN GOOD FAITH??? I went all the way to supervisor level and explained the whole chain of events 3 times. In the end, the supervisor told me flatly -- " that's the way it works and this matter will not be expedited. '' I have his name, title, and number on record... As I write this complaint, they will not even allow me to move money to cover the overdraft that THEY CREATED by their ridiculous transfer app performance. If this causes me a hit on my credit report, I will have to fight that, as well. How many customers are being taken advantage of by their POOR MANAGEMENT OF THE INTERFACE FOR TRANSFER ACTIVITY????

Consumer Complaint: I recently had to dispute multiple charges on my debit card after it was stolen from a restaurant. PayPal not only denied and refused to raise these claims, they actually completely closed out my account and locked away over {$1200.00} in funds. I have had a PayPal account for many years and have had it reviewed in the past with no issues, the problem is they are saying the account is closed indefinitely, and that all of my funds are going to be held for 180 days. I am a small-small business that is just me, myself, and I. I need this money released to be able to purchase items for the customers orders. Customers are not going to wait 180 days to be able to get their orders fulfilled ( what PayPal is telling me it is going to take 180 days ).

I informed the company it was an unauthorized transaction because they didnt have money options to choose from. I am a victim of a scam from XXXX XXXX XXXX company if thats who it really was, for a fast turn around investment. I never received the investment & they kept asking for more money. The result from all my disputes were denied. Its not right nor fair to the victims to not be able to recover their money & letting the scammers win & steal money.

I came back to use my Venmo to process a transaction only to find that my account was suspended for no reason at all. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/2023, there were two unauthorized transactions made using my PayPal Debit card. One for {$520.00} and the other for {$1300.00}. According to PayPal, these purchases were made in the XXXX and in XXXX ( or some country that sounds like that ). I was never notified by Mastercard nor XXXX, the two entities that provide the Debit card that suspicious charges were being made. I did notice " pending '' purchases at " retail '' stores on my PayPal account that I did not make, those being the totals provided above. Once I called PayPal to investigate, they took my info and told me that an answer would be received in my " resolution center '' section of my account. After a few days, I noticed that PayPal had found in favor of the " Seller '', so the scammer got their goods and I am not getting my money back. I asked that the issue be escalated, and it was. I was then told that the charges were deemed by PayPal to be " authorized '' because the scammer using my card number had my " 3 digits on the back ''. I told the agent at PayPal that the card is in my pocket, and there is only one. Obviously, the card had been skimmed and these purchases were made XXXX in two different countries in STORES. They said they would look into again, and once more, they kept my money, insisting the charges were " authorized ''. Of course, I in no way every authorized these charges and was totally robbed by entities that obviously had stolen my Mastercard Debit numbers, front and back. This is a lot of money, which was part of my payroll at that time. I have the documentation from the PayPal website as well. This is an unfair business practice, as I am a victim of someone stealing my Debit card information, and PayPal is just telling me that they charges were " authorized '' and to date, I have lost my {$1900.00}.
