Consumer Complaint: Had some unauthorized transaction credited to my PayPal account Instantly reported these transactions asking for full amount to be refunded back to account as to be expected the account became limited status till investigation of transactions were resolve and a full refund was pending and account limitations lifted but still no access to the funds returned after waiting for pending balance to deposit I reserved email from PayPal saying account limitations were lefted to full access so I figured the money would be to but shortly after that email I reserved one from them say my account was permanently limited and said I would not be able to use there services anymore All I want is the available balance withdrawal out but I guess there is a hold on it and will receive a email from them in 180 days But times are tough all over I need that money to live

Consumer Complaint: InXX/XX/2023 I received a debit card from PayPal which I never applied for. I thought the package was ads so I did not open until XXXX. On XX/XX/ when I opened the package and see such card, I feel it must be related to ID theft as I never applied for such card, and it was not shown in my own PayPal account. I contacted PayPal immediately and reported the receiving of the card and urged them to close the card and do fraud investigation on the card and whatever PayPal account it linked to. The representative assured me that there was no activity and I will not be responsible for whatever transaction happened on the related account. In XX/XX/XXXX I received collect letter from company named XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, claming that I own PayPal {$25.00} from a PayPal deposit account I never owned. I contacted PayPal again on XX/XX/XXXX and they said that deposit account was linked to the debit card I reported in XXXX. Seems after my call they just closed the debit card and send whatever the costs/debt from that account to the debt collector with my personal information without my authorization. They did not offer any solution about how to handle the collect company just ask me to tell them it is a fraud, but the collect company is asking me for more personal information like XXXX and XXXX before handling my case, which I feel uncomfortable to share.

In the past with any other company the money comes quickly. It is now XX/XX/2023 and not only did I not receive a refund PayPal deleted the transaction from my account all together. Consumer Complaint: Im an over 10 years PayPal user who has never violated the Acceptable Use Policy. Despite this, I received the horrible shock of a You can no longer use PayPal email on XX/XX/XXXX. I tried to contact paypal about why my account has been limited and got responses of reason for risky activities. Then I checked the paypal terms, it said : " Higher risk activity We may limit your account if your seller performance indicates high risk activity. This can happen if you : Receive an unusually high number of claims and chargebacks from your buyers, which are an indication of poor seller performance Start selling an entirely new type of product, such as a higher-cost item like jewelry Experience rapidly increasing sales volume, which is out of nature with your usual sales patterns In these cases, we may limit your account while we do a review. '' But I primarily use my PayPal for online shopping payment processor and utility bill pay. In addition, I checked these years ' activities, there is no chargeback, no return or refund in my PayPal and also no money sending or requesting. Everything I do on PayPal is completely legitimate. Here are several examples of recent transactions : XX/XX/XXXX : {$490.00} sent to XXXX XX/XX/XXXX : {$5.00} sent to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : {$450.00} sent to XXXX XXXX None of these violate the AUP. To be honest, I have no idea what could have triggered this mistake. I reviewed it in close detail. I looked on r/PayPal and I am not the only person who has had this problem - many users have been wrongly suspended for no apparent policy violation, especially within the past several days.
