Issue: Incorrect information on your report

Subissue: Account information incorrect

Consumer Complaint: I have made multiple requests to have the reporting to XXXX to be consistent with the other reporting agencies. This has taken many years as the contact information provided by XXXX is outdated and my many requests that were sent to XXXX as provided by XXXX were redirected to XXXX and to a different company. To no avail, I complained routinely to XXXX that they were not providing valid contact information. Most recently, in XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I indicated in writing to PHH Mortgage Services that their reporting in regards to Ocwen was inaccurate. They denied having any knowledge of my account, although the account was routinely confirmed to XXXX. I finally received correspondence dated XX/XX/XXXX, from PHH stating that if I wanted to dispute the account, to respond by sending the verifiable documented proof. Sadly, they were responding to a letter that provided all of this documentation. PHH is reporting that a foreclosure started XX/XX/XXXX. This is inaccurate. The foreclosure was started XX/XX/XXXX and the mortgage was actually satisfied XX/XX/XXXX. This proper reporting is indicated as such on XXXX and XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 We closed on a VA XXXX on XX/XX/2022, and our Mortgage switched from PHH Mortage co. to XXXX XXXX to Federal Savings, on the XXXX. of XXXX. We called our bank and were shocked to find out that PPH Mortgage not only extracted {$1800.00} ( our old payment ) from our account but we were hit With a {$35.00} overdraft charge. I got on the phone with PHH Mortgage at .about XXXX XXXX I talked to a rep. Who just did not understand. Issue: Trouble during payment process

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: I was given an opportunity to pay 1/2 of my fees on my account and the other half would be waived. After completing the requirements of paying the first half, PHH Mortgage waived the 2nd half/balance. The next billing cycle my account has an unknown fee assessment of {$470.00}. No explanation, no letter nothing. It was added to my mortgage payment and due immediately. When I called in to speak with someone XXXX ( the representative ), couldnt tell me what the fee was for. She went on to say the amount wasnt for property inspections because the numbers didnt add up. I then asked for a supervisor. She asked me why did I want one. I said to find out whats going on. She proceeded to lecture me about what paperwork I had signed. I explained that I am supposed to be notified of any fees assessed and why. She continued to attempt to lecture me, never giving me a supervisor, never telling me what fee is for. Its as if they tricked you into paying at least some of your old fees, telling you they waived the rest then used some other clause to add it back or a portion of it back onto your monthly payment. That fee double my mortgage payment for the month which is wrong to do.

Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage

Subissue:

Consumer Complaint: PHH / XXXX XXXX is scattered, each rep we communicate with ( in the past 2+ years ) gives different info. We are informed of details then the rug is pulled out from under us. In the past 9 months the contradiction increased. Here we will cover several more serious incidences of deception, lies, bad advice, contradictions that occurred in the past 2-months ( or so ) as they are ( to us ) a lot more grievous. Situation; Covid & storm damage ( home is under repairs ). PHH is well aware of this. In brief... 1, In XXXX, a change lock notice was posted on the home 's door by a company called XXXX ( who works on a call back bases only ). We called PHH who denied any knowledge of this. Then we get an Email weeks later indicating they backed guardian off. More threats & intimidation. 2, PHH hires an appraiser who ( in the report ) claims to be no building inspector. But played insurance adjuster and listed the repairs as ( about $ XXXX we read the appraisal correctly ). Then used these arbitrary figure as a value reduction in his ''official '' report, making it look like we have equity. Others state the damage is $ XXXX. Our attorney is working on the carriers bad faith for failing to pay. ( Another story for another day ) 4, PHH 's Motto '' helping the home owner is what we do ''. But, we are informed we have equity, they can't help. No clear answer. 5 We offered PHH a $ XXXX short pay off / settlement. No counter, out right denied. We offered $ XXXX short pay off. PHH Emailed us stating the investor countered at $ XXXX. We accepted the counter offer. PHH Emailed stating ''we 'll move fwd w/ the settlement ''. A few days later we are informed the investor denied the $ XXXX. Each time we were forced down a garden path, jump thru hoops ( more hardship ) w/ no fruit at the end of the day. 6, We are informed by many many PHH reps the foreclosure was on hold for some unknown reason, not the case as of XXXX. No one at PHH said a word in all our communications. 7, As of this Complaint, no one at PHH will communicate w/ us. We MUST go thru one dedicated party who is failing to address our questions and concerns. 8, We asked why the investor denied their own counter offer? XXXX stated ''We have equity ''. This is Illogical and misleading. 9, We asked, why did the investor make the counter offer if they knew we allegedly have equity? No viable answer came forth. 10, We last spoke w/ XXXX XXXX XXXX stating he will have answers by XXXX, XXXX XXXX. After a dozen calls & Emails to PHH in the past few weeks, it's now XXXX, no response or clarity. XXXX, PHH keeps sending us USPS mail & Emails that read ( in part ) ''Just because your forbearance is ending, doesnt mean youre on your own. Were here to help you get back on your feet ''. When we make contact w/ the phone # in the communications. We are told, we have equity they can't help or we need to call XXXX. Another series of misleading, deceptive communications that fail to live up to the intended claim. Note ; PHH works on call backs. These call-backs take days, in many cases appointments are weeks out. We have been displaced and have very limited services. Most communications w/ PHH has been thru Emails. PHH holds fast to ''one size fits all ''. This ''Do n't call us- we'll call you '' attitude is yet another hardship on us.

Consumer Complaint: My 100 % completed application to drop my Mortgage Insurance and {$340.00} check for the appraisal was delivered in XXXX to PHH Mortgage. The check was cashed about 1 week after receiving my application. I have made inquiries and received requests that I've immediately followed up on. It is approaching the end of XXXX with no apparent progress in my application. I can not get a credible answer regarding the timeline for my request. I'm continually informed that my email will be responded to in 10 business days and that a relationship manager will reach out within 10 business days, with no follow-up. It's taken 5 months to get an appraisal ordered. My concern now is will it take another 5 months to process the appraisal and drop my mortgage insurance?

Consumer Complaint: This fraudulent mortgage company has shysters with an office that no one is allowed to walk in or schedule an appointment. PHH mortgage services is refusing to send a payoff statement after being asked repeatedly. PHH mortgage will send the payoff statement if an appraiser checks the appreciation value and a closed agreement sale is completed to generate a calculation. Escalation management were giving probable estimations over the phone refusing to deliver a precise written payoff statement. PHH mortgage is breaking the state law of New Jersey in regards to send a payoff statement after a written request is sent.

Consumer Complaint: I paid my mortgage off XXXX and certified check cleared on XXXX. I have continued to receive harassing phone calls saying they havent received payment. I have emailed proof on numerous occasions and also sent a certified copy of the certified check, my home equity statement showing it came out and was paid, my savings account statement showing money deposited for certified check, copy of the payoff letter showing where the payment was mailed to per PHH Mortgage instructions. The continuously call me saying they havent received payment when I sent them the canceled check. They have put negative comments on my credit report. I have authorized them to speak with XXXX XXXX XXXX who sent the certified check and they continue to contact me after I asked them to speak with bank. I have already started making my new mortgage payment. They have sent me two early intervention letters when my account is under dispute. This harassment is out of control and causing undue hardship not only on my credit but my health. Please advise. I have put them on notice of legal action if this continues
