Consumer Complaint: Original Inquiry : My compliant is with Nelnet. Apparently they handle DOE cases but I have compliant which needs to be heard. My case was opened on XX/XX/XXXX to discharge my federal student loan based on my XXXX-confirmed by the Social Security Administration. I changed my status to Veterans Administration XXXX XXXX. It has been seven months since changing my XXXX status, nine months since my case was opened and three months since I supplied additional documentation. Nelnet has responded, in an unprofessional manner, confusing correspondence and an extremely slow response. It is painful working with Nelnet. Consumer Complaint: A few months ago, because I founded a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and received approval from the Dept. of Ed as a loan forgiveness program for our counselors, since we service XXXX XXXX patients, my loans were moved from a provider to direct payment to the Dept. of Ed. That provider was not the problem. Prior providers who were horrible lost my loan servicing to an organization in XXXX, which was great. XXXX and XXXX have reported negative comments about delinquency to the credit bureaus. I was NEVER delinquent, as I was on a deferral basis, since I am still in a XXXX program. I switched schools from XXXX XXXX ( money hungry ) to XXXX ( tries to reduce student debt ). XXXX is eligible for deferral programs from other school balaances. There is no reason to report me delinquent. I feel this is just a thumb in the eye for leaving them. Please correct. Thank you.
