Consumer Complaint: Fraud on my debit card was reported and not resolved. The company maintains that the charge is valid however NO documentation was provided as this was for a rental car. In order to rent a car you need a contract and provide a drivers license neither have been shown or provided. After filing a complaint company took further adverse action in retaliation.

Consumer Complaint: The problem is that I received the information after the account was closed. I dont have any prior knowledge of the account at risk of being closed. I have been a little bit behind on payments, but made payment arrangements through the credit card department. I feel that I was discriminated against due to my race.

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: There was fraudulent activity that took place on my credit card ending in XXXX with Navy Federal Credit union. I believe it may have been 2 seperate charges one being {$500.00} and one being {$9000.00}. The {$9000.00} charge was to " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' and was made on XX/XX/23. The other charge was {$500.00} to " XXXX '' on XX/XX/23. Both of these charges are fraud and I reported them as such to my bank multiple times. They seem to want to just deny my claim and say that these charges were made by me? They most definitely were not and someone was able to access my personal information and make purchases with my credit cards... This is fraud and I should be protected from things like this happening. I'm not paying this money and letting the fraudsters just get away with this. I need this money credited back to me or I'm just going to file a lawsuit and come for it that way. Either way these aren't my charges and I won't be paying them.

Issue: Getting a credit card
Subissue: Application denied
Consumer Complaint: See notice of dispute sent to Navy Federal date XX/XX/XXXX and the received on the date of XX/XX/XXXX via certified mail with tracking # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I am writing to formally dispute the denial of my credit card application, which I submitted on XX/XX/XXXX. I believe the reasons for the denial violate the Equal Credit Opportunity Act ( ECO ), as outlined ni 15 U.S.C. 1691c. Additionally, Iam bringing ot your attention potential violations of U.S.C. 1681m and 12 CFR 1002 concerning fair credit reporting practices. According to the adverse action letter I received from your company, the stated reasons for the credit denial are as follows : XXXX Balance status of XXXX XXXX accounts XXXX Insufficient variety of secure loan accounts XXXX Number of credit card trades opened in the last 24 months XXXX Length of XXXX XXXX membership XXXX. Number of inquiries on the credit bureau report I contend that XXXX XXXX may be in violation of 51 U.S.C 1691, 15 U.S.C. 1642, U.S.C. 1681m, and 12 CFR 1002, as I applied in good faith, yet credit was not issued. None of the reasons for your adverse action against me fall within the scope of the law. Furthermore, I am concerned about potential fraudulent activity, as my social security number ( credit card ) was used without my benefit. This raises questions about the unauthorized use of my credit card information by XXXX XXXX. Irequest that Navy Federal Credit Union conduct athorough review ofmy credit card application and explain the factors leading ot the denial. I also ask for clarification on the alleged violations mentioned above. If XXXX XXXX fails to address this matter promptly and fails to compensate me for any damages incurred. I may be compelled to pursue both criminal and civil actions in accordance with 15 U.S.C. 1681n and 15 U.S.C. 1681o. Additionally, I reserve the right ot submit an invoice for any proven violations, with a proposed amount of {$1000.00} per violation.
