Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam in todays retail environment, credit card processing company is essential, especially for firms that operate through e-commerce platforms. However, many shoppers worry about how long a merchant has after submitting a purchase to charge their credit card. Or what are the chargeback limits of different cards? According to credit card issuer rules, merchants have no time limit to charge their credit cards. If the transaction is approved, the merchant has to charge its credit card within the time limit of 30 days. The period might range from 24 hours to 3 days, depending on the bank. Some banks demand to charge credit cards within 30 days. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I notice that my Navy Federal credit card was charged on my XX/XX/XXXX statement {$840.00} Date : XX/XX/XXXX Merchant : XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Im disputing the charge for two reasons : charge amount is incorrect charges was accepted after more than 30 days of transaction which were on XX/XX/XXXX I requesting that my credit card account be corrected, and all interest charge 11.24 % APR applied, be reverse. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, Navy Federal Credit Union Charge-off Department stole {$5100.00} from my savings account. These protected funds were transferred into my savings account from my mortgage escrow account due to a tax overpayment. After the deposit was made, the mortgage department was in the process of transferring those funds back to my mortgage account but the charge-off department stole every XXXX of it before the transfer could be complete. I was told multiple times by the mortgage department that escrow funds are protected funds and that I could rest assured. Within a matter of minutes, all of the funds were stolen. These funds were also legally jointly owned by my spouse so they committed theft, fraud, and embezzlement with her as well.

Consumer Complaint: I had several accounts in good standing for many years. I paid for additional insurance monthly, that I was told would cover my payments if I was ever killed or XXXX by my service. When I became XXXX, instead of helping me with my payments, the company harassed me, destroyed my credit and has continued to do so for over ten years, now. I have requested paperwork and they told me that they don't have any because the accounts are so old, but they still report illegally and unethically on my credit report. They have cost me hundreds of thousands in damages and several credit repair companies and professionals have told me that there's nothing I can do because the company is so big and can afford the best lawyers to defend their victimization of the service members and veterans that they claim to serve.

Consumer Complaint: Navy Federal was contacted multiple times in XXXX XXXX XXXX to dispute charges on my closed card. While the charges were initially disputed, the case was closed since I did not upload documents within their timeline. The documents were not uploaded as the reason I closed my account is due to constant issues with their online systems. When I called back on XX/XX/XXXX to inquire about other ways to send in the needed documents and re-open the case, I was told XXXX that online was the only way. When I explained that online did not work ( i offered to mail documents in ), I was handed off to the supervisor, XXXX, who was completely unwilling to dispute the charges regardless of what the reason was. I used the credit card to be protected and Navy Federal is unwilling to provide protection to its card holders against unauthorized charges. Document is not attached since this is solely due to Navy Federal flat out refusing to put the dispute though

Consumer Complaint: I have contacted navy federal multiple times about my payment and interest rate on my auto. I signed a promissory note for a rate of 8 % and now my auto is at 18 %. After speaking to them I was told the auto does not have the bank listed as lien holder. Upon contacting the dmv multiple times and after renewing my auto registration I found out that they are in fact listed but they refuse to adjust my payment and rate back to the contractual amount.
