Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX, Back in XXXX or XXXX my Aunt Co signed a school loan for an online school. XXXX XXXX XXXX. I received a loan for around XXXX. I later learned the school was uncredited and withdrew. I had to file for bankruptcy in XXXX for personal reasons. The loans were frozen at that time. I was told after my bankruptcy that I would reassume the loans. During that time NAVIENT began harassing my aunt for payment because she was a XXXX. I let her know what was going on. Due to the harassment of this company, I had the loan auto-drafted until my divorce in XXXX. My Bankruptcy was closed in XXXX and I started paying the loans again. Then came the pandemic and we are waiting for the government 's decision. I have gone on XXXX and requested the consolidation of all of my loans combined as XXXX which should remove any of my aunts ' information from any system. My total loans as of to date show XXXX. I have done everything I am supposed to do. Please help to stop the harassment from NAVIENT. My aunt does not deserve it if I have all of my loans combined in XXXX. According to the law, I thought all of the student debt collection calls were to be stopped. The company is only calling her for payment and not emailing or calling me at all. I believe this is harassment, and possibly even a scam. The number they are calling from is XXXX. They are not listening to what she has told them. They are not listening to the fact that I have consolidated everything on XXXX with all of my current information. I do not have a problem paying my debt. What I do have a problem with is a company that is a bully to a woman who doesn't deserve it. I can provide you with the Navient Acct and XXXX XXXX. The account number won't let me look at the account online. I do not have an issue with paying the bill. I do have an issue with an agent threatening to sue over a payment. Especially when everything has been suspended by the government. I would like the calls to stop and for NAVIENT to update their records to reflect that this situation is handled and my aunt will no longer be getting any calls. NAVIENT can update its records as paid and consolidated with XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I spoke with Navient on XX/XX/2023 and advised the amount that I could afford to pay is {$100.00} in monthly payments. They refused to accept my offer and indicated that I would be required to make a payment of {$250.00} instead. I informed the rep that I would not be able to make those payments and it would result in the payments being delinquent. At this point, I am sure that Navient does not want to assist me in coming to a repayment that works for us both so I am left to file this complaint. Additionally, my loan should have been discharged in the Navient XXXX settlement but instead they sent me a check for {$260.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing a complaint as a general consumer credit reporting concern for unfair reporting practice, as opposed to a specific reporting error I have experienced on my own credit report. I work in the field of consumer and business finance, regularly working with clients attempting to get direct or indirect funds for business start-up. There are many occasions when clients at some point in their credit history have shown late payments on a student loan, and their scores appear meaningfully lower than what they anticipated. A commonality in many of those instances is that a borrower who may have a single loan payment due to their student loan serving company actually shows several different credit account lines on their credit reports, all timed to the same loan payment. Each semester that a loan advance is issued, a separate trade line appears on the credit report, but these various loan advances, once they come into repayment status, are generally made to the XXXX XXXX as part of a single, consolidated payment. If there ever is a late payment, such as when a loan comes out of deferment without a borrower 's realization, the credit bureau does not simply show one late payment. It reflects every single trade line, for each separate loan advance, as having had a missed payment. I have witnessed clients who likely were late on a single payment, or a single loan for multiple payments, whose credit report is unfairly harmed by several different loan advance trade lines all reporting as if the individual payments were late, instead of just a single payment account being delinquent. I have personally observed examples of 8 to 12 different adverse trade lines reporting as a result of a single payment being late. This practice is punitive and, in many cases, is not at all reflective of the payment history the borrower demonstrates across their broad credit file and history. I do not know where this observation is best directed, but I felt that making the CFPB aware was the best starting point, with my local legislators being next, in case there is an ability to direct student loan companies to fairly report one late payment as one late trade account on the bureau when there is only one actual payment being processed.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, My spouse and I claimed a XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy back in XX/XX/2015 and the discharge date was XX/XX/15. At the time of filing our lawyer who represented us stated that all student loans can not be XXXX unless a hardship could be approved. We specifically stated that we have private student loans through Navient and the response from the lawyer was the same. When the payments resumed for the private loans it was difficult for us to pay back as we had to go into a payment reduction agreement with Navient. Fast forward to now and I've recently learned from visiting the CFPB website that private loans indeed are different than regular federal loans and could be XXXX during a XXXX XXXX Bankruptcy from my understanding. I will attach documentation of the discharge papers along with the account numbers of the private student loans being referenced. Please advise on what are our options.

I have told them numerous times to stop calling me and that the person they are looking for does not live here. They don't stop calling and they don't listen to me. They accuse me of lying. Consumer Complaint: Hello, I am reaching out to you because have been overlooked in a recent NJ class action lawsuit against Navient for New Jersey student loans borrowers. I had Navient as a loan servicer for the last 10 years. The Attorney General XXXX of New Jersey sued Navient for restitution in the case where it was determined that deceptive trapping and/ or deceptive, misleading tactics by the Student Loan Servicer were carried out. I have a loan in the amount of {$71000.00} ( Split into two types of loans XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) the original loan started at {$20000.00} and I was advised by Navient to continually put my loan into forbearance for years going back to XXXX approximately. I read the FAQ 's for the AG lawsuit that the loan will be wiped out for all NJ borrowers from Naviant by XXXX XXXX Mine has not gone away yet. It's now XX/XX/XXXX. I even wrote the NJ Attorney General XXXX about this in hopes that I would not be passed over some how, however I did not get a response yet. I also contacted the Navient Settlement administrator, and they wrote me back claiming they have no record of me in their system. This is a lie, and I am being cheated. I get calls from navient currently about servicing my loan so there is no way there is no record of me. This debt has affected and plagued my life in every way. I have struggled every time when trying to acquire a credit card, a car loan, and even when attempting to purchase a first home. My credit score has suffered immensely, and in all phases of my life, I have always suffered from higher interest rates and or had to put up my own money in cash for a secured credit card. Any time I had to buy a car I would not get approved for a loan and I would have to pay a lot of money up front just for a chance to get approved for a high interest loan. That is not how it's supposed to be for a working-class citizen and a XXXX XXXX XXXX Here is the link to the Attorney General article. I am demanding that Navient immediately clear my debt as I was involved involuntarily in their plot for run up loan amounts with high interest rates. I fall into this category of borrowers that the Attorney General mentioned. I have my loan documents and recorded calls to prove what they ( Navient ) told me. XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: Naviet has a student loan of mine and it was not deferred like the rest of my student loans and I pay when I can. However, that is not the problem they have gone from just calling me on the phone to harassing anyone that has my last name. they are cold calling people that I havent spoken to in years that have my last name. They are also sending me the same bills but in fun colored envelope to ensure I open it, they even went as far as trying to send me a XXXX card that actually just had the billing it. Its extremely disturbing the levels they are going to. It is very wrong.
