Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to work with navient about lowering my payments, but they have offered me no other option but to go into default because I can not continue making the payments. I have found a company to help me refinance the loan once it defaults. The problem is that the navient keeps calling me several times daily, even though I have told them about my problem and that I can no longer continue to pay them at 14 % interest rates, which they keep increasing with no help. So I would like them to stop contacting me. But they continue every day into the evening, several times during the day. I tried to work it out with them but they offer not support so I am having to do this as the only solution to deal with this predatory private student loan.

Subissue: Fraudulent loan
Consumer Complaint: I obtained a private loan to attend XXXX XXXX XXXX for an XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX. During the first semester at that school, they announced that they would not be issuing a degree at graduation but instead, it changed to a certificate and they would assist students in finding employment. I withdrew after learning that they were aware that students would not receive degrees before my enrolment and failed to disclose this information to me. My federal student loans that were also disbursed to XXXX XXXX are being discharged due to my approval under the Borrower Defense for Sweet v. Cardona. Per the attached promissory note, the private loan was disbursed to this school, which is included in the settlement. I should not be responsible for repaying a loan to a school that deceived me, was predatory in telling lies to me just to get me to visit to school WITH a parent and apply, all under false pretenses. This Signature loan must be discharged based on the clear evidence from the Sweet v. Cardona settlement. Till this day, the credits obtained from this school are worthless and non-transferrable to an institution of my choice. The school closed and I even can not obtain any transcripts from them yet for a $ XXXX loan disbursed in 2004, I have repaid triple the amount and still have a balance today of over $ XXXX. Attached also is the approval email I received for my federal loans.

Consumer Complaint: I opened an account with Navient in XXXX and continued a relationship with them until XXXX. During this time, I made it a goal to make payments on time. There was a point in time where I had a mishap and unfortunately made a late payment in XXXX, and another in XXXX. Since then, until the closing of the account I continued to make timely payments. Although this account has since been closed, it is causing me extreme hardship. I am hoping that Navient can submit a XXXX XXXX form ( AUD ) to the credit reporting agencies requesting that they remove the late payments. I really enjoyed doing business with Navient and a quick look over my account will show that I was mostly always on time, and everything was paid. I would greatly appreciate this goodwill gesture. I am hoping to hear a favorable outcome from Navient. Thank you for your time.

Consumer Complaint: I took out private student Sallie Mae loans to cover living expenses while I went to XXXX school for two years. My tuition was covered by federal loans. From the very first day of repayment, six months after graduating, I was not offered a payment that I could financially manage. I was only offered deferments and forbearances over and over and over. My loan started at {$60000.00} and has now reached nearly {$200000.00}. I have paid XXXX XXXX on the loans. Navient now holds my loans. In the early early years of dealing with representatives they were very cruel and only suggested to me that I ask a rich uncle to give me money or another option would be death or a terminal illness. The mental health burden of Sallie Mae is soul crushing. I have been in repayment, deferments and forbearance periods on an off for the last 15 years. During this time, my husband and I had had to file for a XXXX XXXX bankruptcy due to him losing his job for the local coal company. We had to do that in order for us to keep our home. I was told at that time that no student loans were not dischargeable in bankruptcy. We successfully finished out bankruptcy after 5 years. All of these years later, I am finding out they are dischargeable and I need help. I have XXXX kids that will be graduating from high school and I don't want them to have to go through what I have.

Consumer Complaint: In reviewing The Fair Credit Reporting Act I noticed that all 10 of the closed Navient accounts were still reporting inaccurate unverified information on my credit file for the following accounts ( XXXX ) with varying balances. 15 USC 1681 Section 602 states I have the right to privacy. 15 USC 1681 Section 604 A section 2, states a consumer reporting agency can not furnish an account without my written instructions. 15 USC 1666B states a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit card account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any purpose.

Consumer Complaint: My parents are co-signers on my private student Loan with Navient. I filed XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX. My attorney included this loan on the discharge paperwork. Exactly one year later, my parents begin receiving harassing phone calls demanding payment ( 6-7 calls per day ). Not once have I received a phone call from them. When asked why they won't reach out to me, they simply state, " We can call whoever we want to call. '' Last week, my dad called and spoke to an XXXX. She stated that they would work with me and to have me call her. On Friday, XX/XX/XXXX, I called in and spoke to a XXXX who was anything but helpful. She was very condescending and told me they couldn't work out any type of payment plan with me. When I let her know that I could not afford the full payment and just needed them to work with me ( like they said they would ), she told me there was nothing I could do and it was, " probably because of the bankruptcy. '' I told her that I would pay what I can afford but it wouldn't be the full amount. She got nasty with me and condescendingly said, " Yeah. Ok. Ok then. Sure. '' What kind of people do they hire there? I have dealt with Navient over the years, and this is not my first complaint against them. I'm actually looking to see if there is a lawsuit that I can become a part of because this is absolutely ridiculous. Calling my parents numerous times per day is harassment, and it needs to stop now. Also, it's not lost on me that I have over the years paid off the amount that I actually borrowed. The remaining is all interest and profit for them. If they want any sort of payment, they can work it out with me and give me some sort of payment plan.

Consumer Complaint: I reached out to the President of Navient in XX/XX/XXXX about inaccuracies with my credit report. XXXX from the office of the president reached out and way coy about my files I had two private student loans that were both charged off in XX/XX/XXXX. Everytime I dispute and request for the information to be accurate on all credit reporting agencies. Navient then re-ages the account which causes the account to continue to stay on my account longer. And XXXX continues to report 90day lates while nothing is reported to XXXX. Again another FTC violation. This is deliberate for me not to request the accounts to be removed for inaccurately reporting. XXXX has removed both accounts because the information is incorrect. XXXX and XXXX should be moved ASAP. Otherwise Im forced to file a lawsuit. At this point there are multiple FTC credit reporting violations that have occurred and both accounts must be removed and Navient is doing everything to report inaccuracies to credit bureaus while hurting my credit while I have called all of this out. Even XXXX and XXXX are not helping. XXXX continues to show 90 day lates every since month while XXXX does not. Both accounts should be removed ASAP.
