Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Consumer Complaint: I called Navient several times over private loan fraud and requested a letter for proof of signature of this loan since filing it with CFPB to go now where. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General which I finally received a letter of no signature on file from Navient and the Attorney General Dismissed the private loan. The problems with Navient to reach customer service and trying to upload documents on their website for school closure for XXXX XXXX to receive no responses when filing this several times with them. They indicated it was involved to recent students for school closing when I won a case with the Attorney General office for a lawsuit of fraud for misrepresentation of my cases from the Attorney General for fraud. I requested for the school closure to be removing XXXX debt since having to transfer credits that XXXX XXXX XXXX indicated that they would honor which they did not. I put this for a whole other complaint with CFPB of transfer of credits while charging me for an entire program of funding from FAFSA. The final issue with Navient was payment arrangements to be setup and while during the COVID issue for putting it under forbearance while charging me interest on the loans during this time. Since the transition from XXXX to XXXX ; my income has dropped to almost half, while inflation has tripled in the past two years. I could only find contract work which almost made me homeless twice and while finding an alternative to move out of the city near family to assist with economic hardship. I have no way of paying my loans due to XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX fraudulent misrepresentation of loans and while working on a XXXX XXXX with XXXX for telling me that a XXXX XXXX wasn't going to be enough for future roles. I went from making XXXX to XXXX while living with my son due to inflation. I am looking to have my loan situation with student loans to be handed through economic hardship and have applied for putting my name on lists for these programs. My loans are standing at XXXX and no way to pay back these loans due to hardship. I am currently XXXX with XXXX in both arms, neck, and shoulders from the type of jobs in the past from falling. I am working on getting XXXX in the near future as well. I am adding this complaint for Navient over interest to loans due to forbearance that did not allow me to make low payments that I could afford. I am adding a complaint for not removing XXXX loans for school closures that I hope to get resolved through CFPB. I plan on filing another Attorney General complaints with this complaint. I am looking for my loans to be declared for an emergency of clearance due to financial hardship and under XXXX of approaching XXXX years of age. I will not be able to work much longer due to limitations.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I have been on an amortization schedule with this lender that was pre-set when the loan began and saw no changes for over a decade. The loan was scheduled to be paid off by XXXX. I have been overpaying by at least {$80.00} every month for the last 2 years to finish paying off the loan faster. In XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed my monthly payment had drastically increased, although the amortization schedule didn't list an increase until XXXX of XXXX. What's more, the increase was much more than specified in the amortization schedule. I had a couple of late payments, so I thought perhaps my overpayment hadn't been applied to the late fee, and it was rolling over. After reaching out to the servicer for clarification, however, I was told this was not the case and that my servicer had readjusted my payment schedule " to ensure I paid the loan off on time ''. I have been overpaying > {$80.00} to this servicer every month since at least XX/XX/XXXX and was poised to finish repaying the loan earlier than anticipated, so this reply doesn't make any sense. Furthermore, the new monthly payment is almost double the usual amount, and at least {$100.00} more than the expected amortization increase for XXXX. I checked my amortization schedule when I first noticed the monthly increase and it showed the schedule set at the start of the loan. I checked it again after receiving the reply from the servicer and saw that it had been changed to something very different and only shows the next few years at this new payment schedule, and not the entire schedule ( from the start of the loan ), like it used to. I believe this company is trying to make up for losses in interest payments, that may be arising from the potential upcoming student loan forgiveness legislation, by drastically increasing monthly payments. There is no reason for this sudden increase and change to my account. It is also very strange that they would hide all of the previous amortization information. Please look into this. The servicer is Navient. I have 2 FFELP loans through them.

Consumer Complaint: My loans held by Navient are currently under In-School Deferment. Navient is now saying that I will need to pay the interest on the loans while in school but my loan origination shows that I selected no in school interest payments. Navient is stating that their documents show that I selected in school interest payments when my documents show otherwise. This feels like pencil whipping on navients behalf. I have my original loan documents but Navient refuses to send me the new ones. I am not attaching those documents here but am sending them to my lawyer if we do find that Navient committed fraud in changing the language of a loan document without a clients notification or consent.

Consumer Complaint: This is in response to complaint XXXX. Once again, I did not question whether or not I have an account with Navient, I stated that you are reporting inaccurate information to the credit reporting agencies because the information is not consistent and they are reporting different payment history, payment, status, and so forth. This is not in compliance with FCRA. You are not furnishing accurate information for the credit bureaus to report. You have yet to contact them to correct the information I have been telling you is incorrect. You sent notices of correspondence saying that a payment was past due, but where is the historical data of the payments? I do no recall being late on the dates suggested. This is my last request before I am willing to take this to court because this is not legal reporting.

Consumer Complaint: In 2021, I received notification Navient was not my loan servicer. XXXX will be my servicer of XXXX XXXXXXXX. In the meantime, Navient states they ARE my servicer, the new company XXXX is not my servicer because my loans are not Federal loans after 30 years info attesting that the loans are Federal consolidated FFELP loans. Now Navient is attesting to the loans as commercial not federal loans. When Navient was my servicer I paid on time consistently. Now they are reporting that I am 90 days past due on a loan they originally told me will be serviced by XXXX. My credit score plummeted from XXXX to XXXX. Please help me!

Consumer Complaint: Since XXXX my loan with Navient was supposed to be for a fixed rate of 2 % and a fixed monthly payment. This was after a long struggle with how my payments were at interest only and they listened to past phone calls and determine I never agreed to that. They couldnt reimburse me so that was how it was handled. I noticed recently my payments increasing and realized its back to a variable interest rate. This may have been for a while too. I have called and wrote and they deny my past agreement. I wanted to stop paying, so they also just violated the FDCPA yesterday by calling me for payment on Sunday and left a voicemail XX/XX/XXXX.
