Consumer Complaint: Recently me and my mother consolidated our loans and there was an agreement. Then I received a letter of litigation saying that they will move to wage garnishment if i dont make a payment. Although my loans are in forebearance for the next 6 months after talking to my mother and taking payments from my mothers account who isnt my original co-signer. Then Im already tied up financially with my federal loans with a wage garnishment already on my paychecks and this has been expressed to Navient and I am still getting hounded and have no idea what to do because after my bills I do not have enough to pay the monthly loan amount.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2017, I submitted a complaint against this company ( Case number XXXX-XXXX ) regarding miscalculations of payments they had made on my loan payments. They continue to make errors on my loans and cause harm to me financially. Today, I received an email that my loan payments will be going up over {$100.00} per month due to Navient 's error of supposedly not applying capitalized interest from a forebearance to my loans when they entered repayment. Apparently, the " close review '' they did of my account in XX/XX/2017 didn't catch this error. Now, SIX YEARS into repayment I am told I owe more money and they are going to take it. This is ludicrous! If this kind of debt collection practice is allowed, what is to stop this company from reaching out to borrowers decades after they begin repayment and allege the borrower owes more? Four of my loans have been paid in full ; are they going to come back and tell me that they were wrong in that calculation and proceed as if I never paid anything? This can not be legal, and it must not be allowed. IF there was an error, which I doubt as I see an application of over {$2000.00} of capitalized interest to my loans on the date repayment began, Navient should have to eat the loss for their own error.

Consumer Complaint: I have a student loan with Navient. I've been paying on it for 5+ years and my balance has not decreased. I feel this is a negative amortization loan and I was not aware of that. I also think that certain payments I have made have not been applied correctly to my principal. I looked at the payment history and none of my regular payments have any portion applied to my principal. If I want to refinance this loan to another lender then the balance I transfer is higher than it should be after paying for 5 years. All I've been doing is paying interest and my principal has not decreased.

Consumer Complaint: I have an IDR plan that I have been trying to renew for weeks I have submitted the IDR paperwork twice. I have sent Navient 4 emails - I have never received a response from Navient. Now they are saying my loans are 2 days late. In the past they hid the email form on their website making it almost impossible to find. Now it is impossible to find. I've been looking for an hour. Navient is a highly unethical company. My loans are now late because they refuse to communicate with me about renewing my IDR.

Consumer Complaint: I am reporting a student loan scam. I got a voicemail on XX/XX/2019 at XXXX ( from a robot named " XXXX '' ). She told me, " ... your student loans have been excepted into the Navient Settlement and are now subject to complete loan forgiveness ... ''. The phone number is XXXX and my " reference number '' is XXXX. I've called them twice and have been hung up both times, because I said I wanted to think about it and call back. The second guy I talked to was named " XXXX ''. I kept asking him what the name of the company was and he just kept telling me they were one of three Financial Preparation Enrollment Centers in the U.S..

Consumer Complaint: I have had the loan for ten years now, i have never been able to pay the loan balance down and the loan has doubled in size ever since. I have never gotten correct information regarding my loan and was never advised or told how changing the due date would affect my payments and make them late. I was enrolled in a rate reduction program and never see my loan balance decrease. I would like to know how my payments are being applied. I recently lost my job and they told me i had no options and nothing they could do for me. Even though i make payments i get harassing calls all day long, and letters. I am paying XXXX a month, but i also get a bill to my house for XXXX dollars which i dont understand. i feel i have been defrauded by this company and have been paying for the last 10 years and my balance has gone up by 59 %. ON many occasions i have been told no, i cant be helped no and i am still getting charged for things im un aware of in ten years my balance has never gone down.

Consumer Complaint: I had negotiated in good faith a repayment plan at a low 1 % rate to payback of my loan. After 6 months of making this payment plan, I noticed online that I was reverted back to the original high-interest rate. I called Navient and was told that I would need to renegotiate the loan rate and amount ever 6 months and that the rate would increase incrementally higher as they saw fit. After a second renegotiation of the loan, they said I was making to much money ( nothing had changed in the last 6 months financially for me ) and that I would have to wait a month and try again. In the meantime, I am paying high-interest rates and fees. On the third negotiation attempt after receiving a " make us an offer '' letter in the mail saying that no reasonable offer would be refused for a one-time payoff or installment payments. I was told that that was just an inaccurate letter and that the information on the letter was incomplete and that certain criteria that need to be met. I was also told as this was my XXXX number of repayment plan request that now I had to send in three months of banks statements and payroll statements, which was never mentioned before. They are telling me that they can not give me my original 1 % interest payment and now have raised the monthly payment more because that plan that I was no longer being offered. Nothing about the letter was really for real it was very misleading and only makes this debt impossible to payback. These private student loans are creating the new indentured servitude of the 21st century. I am so frustrated with this company and its predatory loan practices. Navient is making it impossible for me to get another loan because they have driven my FICA score so low. Please Help

Consumer Complaint: I have been dealing with Navient to make student loans payments. Since XXXX I have notified Navient of my correct address. However, as recent as XXXX Navient representatives have indicated they have a separate address that I have never given anyone on any students loan document. How can I know what I am suppose to pay or what should be paid if I have not received proper notice via US Mail or email? This has resulted in loans becoming defaulted and credit score being negatively impacted. On at least two separate occasions ( XXXX and XXXX ) I have provided the correct mailing and email address information to me.

Consumer Complaint: I have been having issues with Navient for a couple of years now. It gets old having to be paying one loan company then get switched to another. The school that I was attending was online and there is no way I can get information from them. It's like they don't exsist. I was doing good at repaying my loans then had some health issues that has not allowed me to work. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX mom and take care of XXXX kids. I have no income coming in that is why I have been doing forbearances. In the past I was put on an income based plan, but now I don't work. I can't consolidate my loans to lower my payments. I have sent forms in for discharge of school loans due to my school isn't available online, and I haven't recieved anything back from the loan services. I have even sent emails and had no response. I wanted help to get figure out what I can do with my loans since I don't have any income coming in. The school that I attended kept taking out money from my loans and I wasn't even attending school anymore. There were also books and supplies that I never recieved and they still took money out. I have heard many complaints about Navient. It seems like every time the loan services switch the loans keep getting bigger. I want to get the resolved soon instead of having the student loans reach a point to where it isn't possible to pay back. Having my loans discharged would be great since I can't get any information that I need on XXXX XXXX online.
