Consumer Complaint: Navient is reporting incorrectly to XXXX ; XXXX and XXXX collections in the amount of {$26000.00} and {$54000.00} on the NAVIENT partial account numbers XXXX and XXXX. ( Please see pages attached from my credit report. These accounts have been sent to collections and therefore NAVIENT no longer owns this debt. I have attached a copy of the letter from XXXX dated XX/XX/2019 confirming they now own this debt. The incorrect reporting of a collection from NAVIENT needs to be reflected as a {$0.00} balance. This inaccurate reporting of a collection is harming my credit score and these line items need to be removed from my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: I send Navient a letter regarding the student loans I had with Sallie Mae. I've been making payments as requested. I asked Navient could they provide me the Original Instrument of Indebtedness in it's Original Form. I was misinformed according to Contract Law. They couldn't provide me with the Original Instrument of Indebtedness in it's Original Form, only copies. I am making a complaint because I was misinformed, mislead, & decieved.

Consumer Complaint: I would like to dispute my student loan balance with Navient. I havent been in school since the XX/XX/XXXX and never took out more than {$20000.00} in loans. Somehow, Navient has me owing {$46000.00}. I pay {$300.00} a month in interest. {$10.00} every single day. By the time I am done, I will pay have paid back {$62000.00}. I dont know where theyre getting their total. When I asked for documentation, Navient sent me a promissory note for {$1800.00}.! This is ridiculous. I have paid back more than I ever borrowed and at this rate, I will never stop paying and I dont even know what Im paying for. Also, my interest rate is 7.75 %. Navient says that Congress sets that rate, but I'm not sure if that's accurate.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX and XXXX I and my daughters took out Parent Plus loans through NAVIENT for their college education. Daughter XXXX XXXX took out a {$20000.00} loan and daughter XXXX took out a {$23000.00} and a {$21000.00} loan. Since we were having trouble paying the monthly amount originated with the loans I called NAVIENT for an alternative payment plan. Now after eight years of payments, of {$3700.00} on time we owe {$67000.00} in principal which is several thousand more than we originally borrowed. Whats more I'll be paying $ XXXX monthly on these loans for the next 20 years -- until I'm XXXX years old. It feels like a total scam and ripoff. I can't believe this unscrupulous company would do this to college parents and their children who are trying to get ahead but will be dragging anchor for another two decades.

Issue: Getting a loan

Consumer Complaint: My ex boyfriend took out a student loan and used my personal information to cosign on an education loan for Sallie Mae. He used my social security number, salary and employment information to take out the loan. The suspect had access to personal information since we lived together for 8 years. The loan was taken out around XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX to enroll in XXXX college in XXXX. The loan amount totaled around XXXX. I was unaware of this loan until I checked my credit report. I have tried several times to get in contact with the company regarding the loan. They stated that the account is valid because there was an electronic signature from two different computers on the loan ( XX/XX/XXXX conversation with Navient/Sallie Mae ). I submitted evidence to the XXXX police station that proved the loan was submitted fraudulently along with an FTC affidavit to Sallie Mae. They requested that text messages be sent to them to prove that this was not my loan. I stated that the evidence was already submitted to the police and a report was filed. Sallie Mae/Navient investigator " XXXX '' stated that they sent correspondence asking for a photocopy of my ID to verify my identity but I explained that I never received such a request. He also stated that since I didn't respond with a photocopy ID within 30 days, the investigation was closed. I have disputed this account with the three credit bureaus along with documentation that supports my claim that this is not my account. Sallie Mae refuses to remove this fraudulent account from my credit report despite receiving appropriate evidence that supports my claim.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, I would like to file a complaint that Navient fraudulently took out {$240.00} from my checking account without my authorization. In the prior month of XXXX I successfully cancelled an auto-draft payment for student loans and it did not come out. This month on XX/XX/19 Navient took money out of my account that without my authorization. I spoke with Navient on the phone today on XX/XX/19 and they have verified that it was taken out and acknowledged today that it has been cancelled. The supervisor claims to have escalated the request to get my funds returned, but says it will take at least a week for me to get the funds returned to me. This will affect my available funds to pay necessary bills in this pay cycle. I would also like to file a complaint against the agent XXXX that answered my call. She did not ask me my concern when answering my call, and went right into asking me when I am going to make a payment. I feel is very rude and not very customer friendly. This clearly shows that this company cares nothing about their customers, or expresses empathy or any concern for the customer.

Consumer Complaint: Navient representative contacted a family member of mine and disclosed to them the nature of the debt. This family member does not live with me, they are not a cosigner but rather just a reference. My family member did not ask the nature of the debt. Navient volunteered that personal information.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, Navient collections department is disrespectful and obscene. I was contacted about a past due debt on XX/XX/19 and was advised that I was roughly one month past due in the about of {$130.00}. I advised that I would make a payment on Friday, but I would like for my grandmother 's number removed from the account due to her being elderly. I also was trying to explain at one point I was told that she would be removed as a co-signer. The representative did not want to listen to me so I requested to speak to a manager. It took 4 times for me to constantly state that I wanted to speak to be transferred to a Supervisor who was just as rude as the representative. Her ID is XXXX and located in Indiana site. She was trying to over talk me as I was trying to explain to her what I was told perviously about removing the phone number. She also belittled me and told me if I paid my bills on time they wouldn't have to contact her in the first place, isn't this a violation of UDAAP. I am currently recovering from XXXX so most of my funds are going toward my current situation. She also told me that there are guidelines that must be met before I can qualify for co-signed removal after degrading me and questioning me about my payment not being up to date. If I am only 1 month past due on my loan repayment and being treated this way, I can only imagine the obscene behavior they are displaying towards individuals that are more delinquent then me. I advised her that I would make payment on this upcoming Friday then she stopped attempting to belittle me, this is not customer service. I also requested that the pull calls from earlier this year when someone told me that the co-signer number would be removed. She advised that if I did not have an exact date they were not going to look through my account to find out when someone told me this after I requested this be done.

Consumer Complaint: I currently have multiple student loans with Navient which are all under my name and my name alone, recently I fell behind because my husband lost his job and I am providing for my whole family including a newborn. Navient has told me there is nothing they can do to help me at this time so the loans are being paid as I can pay them. Recently on XX/XX/19 Navient has started to call my Mother about the status of the loan and trying to contact me, my Mother is not co-signer on the loan and has no responsibility to pay back the loan on my behalf. Navient had reached out leaving more than 1 message for her on her personal cell phone. This company is harassing my family now over an issue that was addressed with them but they could not do anything to help. Feeding my child and keeping my home is where my money is going first and then to Navient as I can, I feel as if this company has and does use illegal tactics to harass borrowers and at no point should be contacting my family members.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX/ XXXX contacted me about doing the rehabilitation for my loan- the amount due was {$22000.00}. I was contacted on XX/XX/XXXX for nothing less than {$220.00} per month. Which I financially couldn't afford as a single parent. They eventually set up a wage garnishment against my wages- receiving anywhere from $ XXXX- $ XXXX+ per week. I was paid weekly. I was garnished for 3 consecutive years. Then in XX/XX/XXXX I received 2 letters from 2 different collection agencies/debt collectors. One was dated the XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX- from previous company Navient. The amount they were seeking was {$12000.00}. After receiving a notice from XXXX XXXX XXXX dated XX/XX/XXXX from previous company Navient. They were seeking $ XXXX- but were willing to settle for {$510.00} within 40 days of the letter. Each letter stated that I had 30 days to contact them. I have enough common sense to know they were trying to collect times 2 on my account. I contacted both debt collectors and infomed them that any further contact would result in a lawsuit.
