Consumer Complaint: Navient has called my entire family and friends letting them know I had student loan debt. They have called my mom at work and even faxed proof of employment to her office ( where I do not work ). They harass my family daily even after they were told to stop. I have set up a payment plan with them and they still continue to harass everyone.

Consumer Complaint: I have an Dept of Ed/Navient account that was opened on XX/XX/XXXX thats reporting 2 late payments. I have disputed the late payments with the 3 credit bureaus on the basis of reporting inaccurate information. Each time the 3 credit bureaus stated that the Dept of Ed/Navient verified the late payments as accurate. I received a email from Dept of Ed/Navient on XX/XX/XXXX. It states that ; this is a reminder that your current 12- month Income-Driven Repayment ( IDR ) period will expire soon. How are the late payments accurate if I was on a 12 month IDR plan? I am uploading my email and a screenshot from XXXX XXXX of the late payments.

Consumer Complaint: My complaint is with both XXXX and Navient. I dropped the classes at XXXX and never completed them which I was advised that I would not be charged. I called them many many times regarding this and was advised it would be removed. Then later told they were not dropped in time. Then Navient kept sending me information to put me in forbearance because I was having trouble paying for years. I now have thousands in debt and fees for classes I never took. What was originally around {$4000.00} is now over {$7000.00}. I have went thru XXXX, Navient, the XXXX and reported this to the credit bureau but received no help. Please someone help me.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 my Federal student loans were discharged due to XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ). Despite several calls to Navient to see what my options were for a total permanent XXXX discharge. Navient refused to discuss the matter or offer any assistance. I researched everything on line myself, submitted the application and physician certification. Navient was NOT helpful at all, On XX/XX/2019 I contacted Navient, my student loan servicer, to discuss what steps I needed to take regarding a private student loan that they are servicing now that the Federal loans had been discharged. The loan was taken out as a XXXX XXXX loan in the amount of {$5000.00}. The loan is now at {$12000.00}. I understand the XXXX XXXX follows the Federal discharge process and that private loans will be discharged once the Federal loans are discharged. I asked Navient what the options were for discharge and they told me that I would need to submit a " separate form '' for discharge. The " separate form '' is not available on their website and they refuse to email it to me citing " corporate policy ''. The representative said the form would be mailed. I have called twice to follow up and still have no form. I have provided my physician certificate affirming XXXX to Navient electronically and via USPS. I have received no acknowledgment of their receipt. Navient is still collecting on the debt, still calling me, and still accruing interest and late fees. Today the Navient representative told me that my loan was not a Sallie Mae loan and is not eligible for discharge. How can this be when the lender was Sallie Mae? I am so concerned because I am reading disturbing things about Navient online. I want to have my private Sallie Mae loan discharged via XXXX but Navient seems unwilling or unable to assist me. Something is very wrong with this company.

Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Problem lowering your monthly payments
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX after struggling to make payments because my interest rates are over 9 % and 11 %. Finally at this time after reviewing financial information they were able to grant me interest rate reduction ( 6 months at 6.5 % ) to help pay my loan. For the first loan it lowered my monthly payment to XXXX and the other XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I checked my account online and realized that even though my payments were automatically debited at the lesser amount, the interest rate wasn't reduced. I called customer service and they explained that a disaster forbearance was placed on my account ( never explained why ). Finally they made the interest the proper 6.5 %. Then I realized that the proportion of my loan was being paid just to interest and nothing to principle. Therefore, they were taking less amount each month but never attributing anything to interest. The documentation will be uploaded of this. They corrected the month of XXXX for each of these loans. I called customer service over 5 times during XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX and explained that corrections needed for XX/XX/XXXX payment and XX/XX/XXXX payment. I speak with the supervisors. They promise they will call back and never return my calls. My issue is they are incorrectly allocating my payments to not all me to pay principle down. Even after multiple attempts to fix and rectify this they have not for those two months.

Consumer Complaint: I have three Navient tradelines which incorrectly show delinquencies which are negatively impacting my credit and affecting my ability to provide a roof over my families heads. In all cases I was told by Sallie Mae/Navient representatives that the forbearance 's granted would cover all missed payments and therefore no missed payments should have ever been reported. Attached is proof where the forbearances were granted and language within the forebearance approval or correspondences clearly show I the customer was lead to believe the forbearances were retroactive. I am prepared to take this to my attorney with the intent to file a class action suit because I am positive others have been mislead as well.

Consumer Complaint: I received a box of documents from a relative and found paperwork of 4 student loans in which I did NOT authorize by my official signature to proceed. They appear to be electronically signed with my name but without my authorization or my personal signature. The original 4 loan amounts loan dates are as follows : Loan # 1 Sallie Mae XX/XX/XXXX for {$20000.00} Loan # 2 Sallie Mae XX/XX/XXXX for {$14000.00} ( the promissory note for this loan # 2 has my forged signature on the document ) Loan # 3 Sallie Mae XX/XX/XXXX for {$7800.00} Loan # 4 Sallie Mae XX/XX/XXXX for {$2500.00} Per my credit reports, these are now under Navient. Ive tried a few times over the past several years to dispute my claim that I am NOT the co-signer on these 4 loans and I have asked several times for documentation/promissory note copies from the services to provide proof otherwise and they do not seem able to cooperate.

Issue: Struggling to repay your loan
Subissue: Can't get other flexible options for repaying your loan
Consumer Complaint: The only options that I have been offered by Navient are forebearance, income sensitive repayment, 9r graduated repayment. My income has not increased but actually decreased. My loans originated in 1999 and have higher balances now than origination. I can not afford the standard payment options offered. Forebearances have only increased my debt, resulted in additional interest and not benefited me. The consequences of forebearances were never explained and always offered as sson my loans went delinquent.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, my loan was consolidated with my ex spouse through Sallie Mae. While divorcing in XXXX XXXX, I begged and pleaded with Sallie Mae to break apart out loans. I was listed as the co-borrower and was worried if my ex spouse did not pay, I would be stuck with the full amount. They refused. The loan went into default. After divorce was final and some time later, I made a arrangements and we began to pay the loan again separately- however I could not make any changes to the loan and was barely able to discuss the loans when I called. Once we began paying the loans, they were transferred to XXXX/XXXX.
