Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Keep getting calls about your loan
Consumer Complaint: Navient constantly calls me while I am at work, they just XXXX my phone with back to back calls. Even when I have no payments owed, or after asking them not to on AT LEAST 4 occasions. They are literally putting me at a disadvantage to earn money, and keep pestering me to make payments, even when nothing is owed at the time. This is harassment.

Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I graduated in XXXX and started making payments shortly thereafter. I was a single mom going through a divorce and had a hard time making payments a couple times. I think the total I borrowed was {$23000.00}. Starting in XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I paid {$300.00} per month. From XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX I paid {$350.00} per month. Just in the total amount of money I've sent them without interest that exceeds what I borrowed. I have tried to figure out how they have handled the money I sent them from XXXX to XXXX, but I can't figure it out. Many years ago I tried to talk to them on the phone but all the response I could get was " it is interest, it is interest, '' from someone in a foreign accent. I am XXXX and am retiring at the end of XXXX, from the XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I am a veteran. I haven't qualified for any of the forgiveness programs I applied for over the years. I don't even know where to begin to find out if my loan has been mishandled. Issue: Getting a loan
Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising
Consumer Complaint: XXXX University Defrauded not only by misled information but by incorrectly financing substantial amounts of indirect costs that applied to my Federal student loans as unused services provided were not relevant. Several attempts to correcting information after months of finally receiving papers of proof to negligence on institutions behalf looking into lawsuits were relevant to case. Some Institutions were forced to close. Also XXXX had all advisors were no longer handling any cases at the time and quit working for them as this lawsuit came forward all students for the class of XXXX including myself were fraudulently taken advantage of. FTC had filed a lawsuit against XXXX for fraudulently gaining access into funds for no reproable cause. A settlement amongst students began XXXX year. The advertisements of gaining employment by career advisors and counselors promising that their institution has more leads in landing prospective students right after graduation between XXXX and XXXX were proven to be false. In reference to my credit report Navient is not part of the US Dept. Of Education as they are a third party debt collector. They shouldn't have had any rights placing on my credit report 20 times allocating I owe a significant amounts of funds due to the letters I have received in regards to my loans being forgiven which takes years to do. All these past due amounts are inaccurate and false. US Dept. of ED has all information leading to claim status of loan forgiveness program I enrolled so I am asking all of Navient 's reports claiming late or unpaid to be removed off my reports due to inaccurate and false information reported as this is affecting my life and ability to gain employment and other resources. Thank you Sincerely

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX and XXXX I have a combined of 14 past due payments. One of {$30.00} a month and one of {$70.00} with Navient. {$33.00} payment per month in XXXX - XXXX, XXXX, XXXX were paid late. XXXX - XXXX, XXXX, XXXX were late. I only have {$950.00} balance left on this loan and since XX/XX/XXXX I haven't missed a payment and they all have been on time for 11 months in a row after finding this out. {$70.00} payment per month in XXXX - XXXX, XXXX, XXXX were paid late. XXXX - XXXX, XXXX, XXXX were late. I only have {$2000.00} balance left on this loan and since XX/XX/XXXX I haven't missed a payment and they all have been on time for 11 months in a row after finding this out. I was unaware that these were past due at the time and was not notified by Navient during those times. During those years I was unaware that my student loan monthly payments were not going through. These marks on my credit payment history are keeping me from being able to finance a car, home, etc. As you will find I have ensure the past year to pay on time all of my monthly payments and have even raised the per month to pay off my loans faster.

Consumer Complaint: Navient has 2 accounts with me that are paid monthly on time. I just recently got an alert that my balance increased by {$950.00}. It is incorrect as my balance between the two accounts is less than {$1500.00}, but this is affecting my score. My other loans are currently covered through the end of the year. There should be NO MOVEMENT.

Consumer Complaint: I took out 2 student loans with Salle Mae that were relatively low. About {$6000.00} for each. A few years later Salle Mae turned into Navient and they said I took out loans for XXXX each from Salle Mae. They did not have my correct address, or even the school I went to. Navient stated that they sold the loans to a collection Agency called XXXX XXXX but that company had " gave the loans back to Navient ''. They are both currently on my credit reports and both company 's are trying to collect for the same debt! When I called the credit bureaus, they stated that Navient had closed the account. Now they are trying to collect XXXX from me. XXXX is trying to collect XXXX. They both claim to still hold the " debt ''. All from a XXXX loan. There is some serious fraud going on and these company 's are trying to get over on me.
